Cafe63 - Ross Evans Garden Centre

It seems that since our previous visits, there has been a change in all the staff. The food was not as good as previously and the service no where near as good. We did not get one of our orders and it was not as hot as it should have been. long wait time for service. shame This has been our favourite place to catch up with friends.

I enjoyed the range and variety of food - not only was the food presented well on the plate but it was delicious. You didn't make the mistake of overdoing the lettuce or the chips. I would thoroughly recommend your restaurant

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great, there was a mix of families and couples but no kids running rampant. It was however hard to get the waiters attention to order, and was nearly 25 minutes before we had a waiter take our drinks. Food was really well priced and decent sized meals.

Waited far too long for meals even when we booked

As it was fathers day it was a lovely place to cater for all tastes in a very relaxed atmosphere. Food absolutely delicious. Everything was great. My only comment which is not negative was that our meals came at different times. Unfortunately we had booked for 8 and our 99 year old friend had had a fall the day before and missed out to which she was extremely disappointed but we will be back. Loved the walk around the nursery at the lovely plants. Cheers Robyn

Very disappointed with the time we waited for our meal. We realised the service would be slower than we have had previously on our visits to 63 because of Fathers Day. However, when the tables around us, (all of whom had arrived after us), were all eating and we hadn't been served, it was time to complain. We were only a party of 5. When the meals started to come out, it was in dribs and drabs. VERY disappointing.....

Long wait for food. Average food. Loved the environment. This cafe has lots of potential but needs refurb. Kitchen/counter is an eye sore.

Good food & price, lovely venue but service was slow.

A member of the group sent their meal back as it was dreadful. While there are vegetarian meals they are all more or less the same.

Cafe 63 looking a little tired needs a fresh look especially the tablecloths. Always good service and value for money. They need to keep area where they make coffee much cleaner.

The food is great, wonderful variety on the menu, however the service is poor. Had to wait for ages to even be offered to order a coffee and that was only because we called the waiter over. Then had to call over again to order meal. No follow up, no offer if we wanted to order any more drinks. Very Poor service, which is a shame as its a nice restaurant with great food.

Had to wait for service ask for another place setting so my guest had to stand around then waitress had difficulty with our orders Steak not cooked enough meal size could be reduced why not a senior menu

The food doesn’t seem to be as nice as it has been in the past when we have been there. We had to try and get the waitress attention when we wanted to order deserts as they never came back to us after the main course.

Much better this visit! Last visit the staff forgot about our order altogether!

The time between 11 lunches arriving. Otherwise meals hot and tasty.

Wait time for initial order was in excess of 40 minutes. Staff could hardly speak English. One of the three guests ordered soup which eventually arrived accompanied by warm sweets. Main courses for the other two guests arrived after the soup and sweets were finished and staff had to be reminded after a further wait of 30 minutes that one of those guests had ordered sweets. Most unsatisfactory - won't be returning.

We have rated the overall at 4 because ... there were two separate pieces of paper in the ponds - one an old tea bag and the other a scrunched up piece of paper. This detracts from the overall impression. The other downside is that the shoestring chips were obviously not cooked in fresh oil as they were lacking in crispness and were a bit soft. The staff were pleasant, helpful and attentive. The whole experience for a birthday celebration was very nice but there is a tiny bit of room for improvement. We would not hesitate in returning. Worth the drive from Brisbane.

Super efficient! Great value for money & nice coffee. Extensive menu. Being located within the nursery provides a lovely setting.

it was a lovely experience . We were shown the table we had booked , we were served quickly and did not wait long for the meal which was very enjoyable and good value for the money . The ambience was great , a small pool near us , a calm peaceful atomsphere .

We had our work catchup at Café 63. We found a lovely place to be, we were fed very well. Our dishes were delicious! The service was a little to be desired, though. We actually had to get up and order some items towards the end of our meals, instead of someone coming and taking our orders. Overall we had a great time and will be back.

Pork belly soggy and bland flavour.Attentive servers but felt they were under stress.

The service was slow and the meals took for ever to come out, then one person has to wait for her meal another 10 minutes to be served after everyone else had nearly finished meals, not good enough!

Great food, perfect setting with personal service, Cafe63 will definitely be high on our list when looking for brekky lunch or coffee venues.

Food was good we had a group lunch and the food came out at different times much waiting ane hard to find staff to arrange water wine It is a lovely relaxing setting the service by the waiting staff is inconsistent Whoever is responsible please train your staff theu could be so good

Great staff. Efficient service. Great food and coffee. Lovely surroundings. Just unhappy with the amount of dogs inhouse dining with 1 dog crawling over the dining table. Should not be allowed

Book early if you need a specific time, staff very friendly. Plus great to wander through the nursery after.

My husband is allergic to onions. He chose the chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce but was told that the sauce had onion so was offered gravy.instead. I checked with the waiter that the gravy would not have onion and he assured us that it would not. It must have done because my husband has been ill since the lunch. Not impressed! Also the whole group was uncomfortably cold.throughout our lunch.
