So, what’s the fuss about Brouhaha Brewery’s famous beers then? Well, for starters, the experimentation of flavours is subtle and creative in all the right ways. Keep your eyes peeled in the Brouhaha Brewery IPA (Indian Pale Ale) for passionfruit and stonefruit flavours with an English malt backbone; mango passion fruit wheat ale, black IPA or for the adventurous among us, taste the lemon aspen sour made with hints of gum and eucalyptus making for a uniquely Australian and refreshing drop.
As for the food, well, the talented team at Brouhaha Brewery translate the passion for beer into the kitchen, and boy does it work. Kick things off with lemon pepper calamari with aioli and lemon, duck liver and Brouhaha Brewery IPA pate, with redcurrant jelly, truffle butter and toast and an antipasti board. For the main event, sink your teeth into local Maleny wagyu beef, braised in Brouhaha milk stout and blonde, slow-cooked for five hours and served with pappardelle pasta, parmesan and rocket; the roasted free-range pork belly with apple and ver jus puree with celeriac fondant and fresh local veggies. Also serving a range of pizzas and kids options, this Sunshine Coast favourite is a must-try. And don’t fret if beer isn’t your thing – there’s a selection of Australian wines and spirits on the menu as well. You’ll find this funky spot on Coral Street in Maleny – reservations are essential.
