We all enjoyed the food we ordered. The steak was cooked perfectly as were the sides. The staff were friendly.

Lovely meal as always and perfect service. We shared plates and all were excellent.

Entree was nice, as usual these days wait staff are always inexperienced and just miss that edge of good service. Tough times we understand. Mains were ok, the sauce was just too creamy with marinara

Such a fabulous location. The food was good - not excellent - the menu isn't extensive, service was very friendly and good. Wines very good.

Waited a long time for meals to come and one meal was cold so had to be sent back. Disappointing.

We did not go. The restaurant never confirmed our booking. I called multiple times and no one ever answered the phone. I'm not convinced the restaurant is still open!

What Great food and service, always happy when we leave.

The Blackbird has for many years been one of my favorite restaurants, however on arrival the vibe was completely different. The service was lacking a personal touch and it took two attempts to order water and drinks, the basics for me. The starter (3 cheese croquettes) when it came was ok, but nothing special. The mains - steak and chips was inedible - the steak (which was 2 huge portions) was tough and “unchewable” and the salmon cold and bland floating in an oily buerre blanc. The wine we ordered was not available - the replacement provided at the same price was nice. Ended our evening at the Royal On the waterfront with a glass of wine and a bowl of house cut chips. I understand that the Blackbird has changed hands and can only hope that they are in a transition period. It would be such a shame to see a restaurant with such a good reputation fall to sub standard. I await with baited breathe for further reviews which might tempt me to return. Wishing them all the best of luck.

Great service, fabulous food! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and i would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful dinner at Blackbird. Very tasty entrees of carpaccio, polenta and prosciutto with pear. We had a main course each, I had the beef ribs which were soft and delicious. Finished with pannacotta and Il flottante, yum!

Food is very average but the service was good .

Antipasto platter initially presented well but then found it bulked out with pickled items, little meat and cheese. Presentation of mains were all good but taste not up to par. Water had heavy metallic taste that seemed to be present in the gnochi dish which two of us had. Fish was very good but ravioli dish had heavy fish taste that spoilt it.

Great , terrific in fact, food at Blackbird. Very helpful, nice polite staff. Cosy place with great views over the lake. A pleasant reminder phone call for our booking with byo info. We will go back!

The food was OK as was the service . Was expecting something sharper in style with current perth food trends. Plus being situated in a high end socio demographic area was surprised by the middle of the road menu. It was our 45 th wedding anniversary . Orginally booked in at lu lu la delizia but was too early so we cancelled and booked blackbird on a business colleague recommendation . We did enjoy discovering the area which was an eye opener paricularly the area around the Royal Hotel. Terry hilsz
