It was great as always. Such a good spot to take people not familiar with Melbourne. It so classy without being snobby just like the iconic laneway lpcation in the Paris influenced part of Melbourne. Its world class as is the food wine and service.

Pleasant experience, friendly staff but felt a little ‘cold’. Steak Tartar was delicious as was the charcuterie board. Our table all got the Steak & Frites, steak was well cooked to our preferences & tasty but was a little on the cold side which was disappointing.

Great little steakhouse that’s affordably priced with good wine recommendations.

Steak was beautiful. Frites have changed and are now more like pub chips which is a shame.

Service was slow for a restaurant that wasn't very busy, we waited for 15 minutes and then had to request service. This happened multiple times and they weren't busy, they were just polishing glasses not even looking at patrons. I had to get up and walk over to ask for a water refill. Food eventually came and it was cold when served. The waitresses English wasn't great, I had to repeat myself every time I tried to order or as a question about the menu. I ended up having to point to the menu as she still didn't understand when I was trying to order. Then she bought me the bill when I asked for a dessert menu. Terrible service and the food didn't even make up for it, unfortunately.

On entry table not ready and set for booking. Booking didn’t even have a reserved table and had to wait for table to be set up for 19 minutes. Service very poor all night and wasn’t a busy night customer wise . Staff non educated on wine, wine not available and steak was tough and over cooked x 5. Very disappointing experience and was very much looking forward with a group of friends to have a great experience.

Garçon Paris - our second visit and once again thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Great food, great service and great wine. We’ll certainly add this onto our list of restaurants to dine at when visiting Melbourne. It was nice and close to our hotel which was an added bonus.

Service was prompt and very friendly, food was delightful. I had the fish of the day, which was Barramundi and it was done exceptionally well. My husband had the signature dish and said his steak was done more medium rare than the medium he asked for, but that was okay. The mushrooms in truffle butter that we had as a side were divine! I am coming back for the Crème brûlée, when I am again able to have dessert.

Service was pleasant, Food was far below expectations for restaurants in the area, all under seasoned. Duck fat roasted potatoes was swimming in oil and tasteless - we didn’t eat any after the first bite and sent them back (regrettably it was contested that it was meant to be like that and the item not taken off the bill).

Second visit. Brought friends. Another superb authentic meal. Magnifique! Merci beaucoup. .

Steak Frites was lovely but it was a shame French Onion Soup wasn’t part of the regular menu.

Our visit to Garçon was fantastic! They looked after us very well, made accomodations for our groups various needs and served fantastic food. The wine selection is amazing and the service was phenomenal! Would definitely recommend and will visiting again soon!

Great service, great atmosphere. Mussels were amazing. Not bad having a champagne at happy hour. One issue was overall the food was a bit salty, not using much salt in our home cooking. We will be back.

Delicious steak, amazing sauces, chips were divine, chocolate ganache exceptional - everything was AMAZING!

Marinated warmed olives and anchovy tart were great. Porterhouse steak was disappointingly chewy. Garlic butter sauce and salad were nice though. Service was a bit slow for a Wednesday night dinner.

We were a large group of 11. Our maitre'd was very personable. Good taking of orders, entrees came fairly quickly, mains came all together. Steaks varied from outstanding to good. Wines were lovely. Creme Brulee was a bit hit - well made in the classic style.

The staff are very attentive and friendly. The gnocchi dish is superb.

Very disappointing. This was lunchtime and the place was not all that busy. The escargot (in shells) was barely luke warm with lots of unmelted butter. Clearly pre-prepared but not properly finished to serve. Sirloin steak was over cooked and tough - and a request for a sharp steak knife to replace the one provided was resolved with the provision of a serrated knife. Creme brulee was also very disappointing - also pre-prepared and served straight from the fridge. Oh, and over-priced wine. Never again.

Enjoyed our visit. Food was good. I loved the prawns and the steak was well cooked. The pinot noir by the glass was very nice and I loved the cocktail choices. Something a little different. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely visit again.
