The food is good with good service. Overall, an excellent experience!
All dishes were good, but the menu is a bit different from official Instagram account
Menu is not very extensive but everything on it tasted very good!
Great French food and very comfortable atmosphere. Definitely a favourite.
Tasty food, good environment, good atmosphere and nice service .
very limited food and wine choices - fish was very hard
Food was above average albeit could go easier on the salt. Service was spotty to absent. One main course was forgotten and wasn’t finally served until everyone else on the table had finished, and only then because it was chased a couple times. A server spilt sauce onto a diner‘s blazer when clearing the table. And it took until after the bill had been paid before somebody finally got round to coming back for the previously attempted order of a glass of wine. Maybe they were having a bad day..... maybe it was just bad luck.... not sure I’d go back to find out....
A lot of very noisy customers and families which ruined the experience a little but overall it was great.
Food is great, service not so much. Our orders for side dishes was forgotten twice and we did not have them in the end. I ordered the chicken 5 days in advance as it takes time to cook it but it was not started before we arrived, hence had to wait for 1 hour to get it (for a booking at 9pm, that’s a bit of a long wait). Also, as the restaurant claims itself to be french influenced....please please cut the chicken properly around the bones, not by cutting the bones in the middle. You can bring your own wine which is great (no corkage fee on 1 bottle per 2 people). I will definitely go back as the food is good despite some efforts to be made on the service side
very wholesome in terms of people , ambience and food.
We were quite disappointed about the food and service at this restaurant, we picked this restaurant to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary because we heard the rating is excellent! I didn’t understand why they urged to collect our appetizer while we were still eating and then they served the main course without asking, never mind, the beef that we ordered, I only tasted charcoal and salt.
Pretty good and enjoyable ambience. Will go back in the future!
Excellent food. I would like to visit the restaurant again.
Bistro du Vin is one of our (the wine group) restuarants. They deliver on food and service. Great freindly and homely atmosphere.
Wow. The food and wine--fantastic! Menu changes daily based on chef's choice. The seafood is great! But, that's not the only thing. So go.
Beef really one of the best dishes in town. Good wine french bistro. I miss the foie gras and the coq au vin as classics but nice casual french.
Great place, great food, very convevial. Will visit again soon
Good food and efficient service! Have a great time! Will definitely o again for a la carte dishes! It’d perfect if tables not closely set!
I had 2 course lunch set here. The atmosphere of the venue was really cosy and relaxing. Plus you got to choose the appetiser from about 6 choices! That explains how good they do their lunch.
Bouillabaisse was great. Seafood was very fresh. Solid restaurant with great flavors.
Lovely restaurant which have a delicious food, great dessert, comfortable environment, nice service, enjoyable night. Looking forward to having dinner again. Highly recommended to others
Wonderful French experience in HK. Great knowledgable staff. Good food and wine offerings. Pleasant surprise in the quaint K-Town area of HK Island. Will come again.
Good food and ambience. Free corkage allows customers to bring their own wine to pair with the gourmet. Service is good. New menu gives a surprise.
Really great food with restrained yet attentive service. Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic French cuisine. We didn’t try the wines though the list looks comprehensive. Good value for money.
Omelette is good. Portion size is miserable. Service is bad. That old lady completely lacks any passion. A bit overpriced- unlikely to set foot again.
Great food and attentive service. It really is similar to a French bistro in Paris. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. We also felt that the prices were quite reasonable for the quality.
the quality of the food was exceptionally good at this price-range. staff were all very thoughtful in every details. the place is good for large gathering too. highly recommended.
Overall good quality was good and excellent service. However, would prefer if the starters and main courses came at their respective same times. Will return.
Great atmosphere and service. Reminds me of those small French bistros in London or Paris. Boyfriend's birthday and they arranged dessert nicely. Food is delicious and highly recommend that egg & cod appetizer they have.
Excellent experience, friendly & professional staff, free corkage. Good food too. It is one of the best restaurant with family & friends. Especially the wine lover, don't be missed!
The beef cheeks were excellent! Wine selection turned out to be rather better than the waiter initially made apparent. The staff were very forgiving when 2pm (official closing time for lunch) came around...!
The appetizers and desserts are amazing! very spacious and the waitress of our table is very helpful. will defo visit again very soon to try out other things on the menu
The restaurant has a cosy feel both from the decor and the convivial atmosphere. Our servers are all friendly and cheerful and it is a great plus for a evening gathering with friends and family. The dishes are adapted french version. We were told the lobster and clams are locally sourced (farmed?) which makes sense from a carbon footprint point of view. We liked all the dishes we had: roasted eggplant caviar, lobster linguini, lamb rack (a bit too tender?), and rib eye steak. Leave room for the soufflé. It's certainly very well made a spongy soft texture.
The food is good but overall the price is a bit high. Excellent desserts though and the atmosphere was very like a Parisian bistro. Recommended.
Great food. Traditional bistro menu with a few specials every night. The bouillabaisse is a winner but need to pre order. Free corkage is a steal.
Good food, great services, good vibe. Lobster Linguine is solid in taste and texture, exceptional good. Iberico pork is cooked to perfection, juicy and tender, great wine selection too.
Ordered lobster linguine but a bit salty for me. My friend ordered spring chicken and was salty as well. When we made the reservation we have asked for a quiet corner table. They gave us a middle table despite the fact that the restaurant less than half filled.
Pleasant evening. Tables extremely close together butbfood very solid and well executed. Would certainly return. Be good for a large group also. Great steak frites. ..
We had lunch there several times. The last time we were there the service and food were not as good as before. We will still go there for lunch because it is convenient for us
I found the food very average and not of the quality I would expect of a french bistro. Service was also disappointing with food being plunked down rather than served. Given the prices, I found the experience disappointing.
