The food was excellent. The noise level was a little high due to the wooden floor boards I suspect, but manageable. The young man who waited our table was excellent - polite and very helpful. However, I felt so sorry for him. There must have been at least 30 people in the restaurant and he was the only one serving apart from the person making the coffees. Hence the coffees and meals took some time. Then one coffee came out for one of us, followed some time later by another for my companion and mine was forgotten until I raised it with the young man. Not sure if there was a last minute problem with staff. We will try again.

Most of the meals were cold. Some at our table complained and were given another meal, but I suspect there was a long delay between when the cook made the meal and when it was delivered to our table

Always a great dinning experience at Bensons. Prompt service and good selection of meals.

Unusually had to wait for over half an hour for our food which, when we did get it, was not the usual moist fish we have been served on previous visits. We were also asked if we enjoyed our meal whilst we were waiting and said that we had not been served. She apologised and said that it would not be long...it was anothet 15 minutes after that. Patrons on an adjoining table were heard to say that they were not happy to have been waiting for 35 minutes. Today was a COMPLETE exception to our previous experiences and we WILL be coming back

Been at Benson's a number of times already but realised the quantity dwindling. Also, I had Asian salad - the chicken was burnt. Apparently there was a new chef.

The service and food were excellent as was the wine. It was especially pleasing that we could have three small children with us and we had a table where we were not annoying other guests. I will definitely go back to Benson's Mount Waverley.

Excellent service..Great food. We come here often. Easy parking too and they reconfigure tables to accomodate numbers and do split the bill up to 6 patrons which is great for catching up with friends.
