Bamboo house has always been reliable, nice ambience, staff always provide friendly service and very attentive. Food has always been good and consistent. will be returning!

Love it. Always loved it always will. Best Shanghai dumplings, Sichuan beef and fried rice. A little pricey but worth it for the service and attention to detail.

Bamboo House is always a pleasure. Professional yet unobtrusive staff look to your every need. Food is delicious, beautifully presented and not too hastily served. Our favourite dish is Peking Duck...yum!

Had been here a few times, smoked duck was great, however XO lobster did not taste the XO sauce at all, tasted more like a sweet and sour, lobster tail was fresh however the sauce was a let down.

An institution and rightly so. Wonderful food, service, wine list and ambience. A family favorite for special occasions and terrific for business lunches. Highly recommended.

Good ambience for a date night. The service was pretty decent even though the restaurant was packed. The food are served at the right interval and it is really delicious! Pricey but definitely the place to go if you want to impress someone!

The food was fresh, interesting and well presented. Service was professional although not exactly warm and inviting. Not quite up to Flowerdrum but well worth a visit.

Have been going to bamboo house for 17 years. Its great for business meals. I highly recommend this restaurant the food is always excellent and the service is very efficient. Tea smoked duck and southern rock lobster are my favorites. There is also an excellent wine list.

Amazing service and food as delicious as always .... Nothing was too hard for them to cater to ... Including a banquet for the adults and then different dishes for the kids. Perfect fun birthday venue for my mums 70th

Lovely food, service ok - might have been better if I wasn't on my own with two very well behaved children? Why is it that when you dine with children, the credibility of being "foodies" goes out the window!

Great food - we had cold meats and cold crystal noodles - scrumptious! Good wine list with a good spread of price and variety. Service is efficient, friendly and no-fuss. Great spot and a Melbourne icon in Chinatown.

Staff suggested meal selection for our group of 6, and all dishes were excellent. Several entree size and two main courses pleased everybody. We will go back again.

Great quality food as always and excellent service by Annie and her professional staff. Peking Duck is a great favourite and the San Choi Bow was a perfect combination of moist filling and crisp, fresh lettuce cup. Highly recommended.

They have the best crispy duck pancakes on the world. They bring the duck out while and then carve it up right in front of you.

Excellent service, outstanding food and pleasant setting at the top end of Melbourne's Chinatown. Best to book as the restaurant can get extremely busy although it does not affect the quality of the service.

We have the duck, it was amazing! The service was excellent, especially with the duck, where they come to the table and cut and serve it right in front of you.

The restaurant offers probably the best Peking duck comparing to even most Hong Kong restaurants. The favour is truly traditional. However, as the restaurant is maintaining first class service catering to the customers, there is never enough time. The hostess is most hospitable.

Food was delicious, but we were sat next to the servery and a very loud table. Despite asking to be moved, we were told that was not possible, despite the restaurant being not very full. I will return but will request a table near the front of the restaurant and if it's not I will never return.

normally a good place but this night food seemed off. not right. also meals came out 1 at a time 10 mins apart... would not go back.

Service was initially poor but improved as evening progressed. Welcome was the problem and then no menus given for quite some time. food was excellent.

Magnificent food and great service. We had lots of small dishes and the different tastes were superb. The oysters 3 ways are a must to have as are the lamb chops. A great night!
