Great food - as a long term client my observation was that the service was not as good as in the past. Will return to see if it was just our luck on the night..

Rated as a 6. Always very good, attentive staff, beautiful food and the table and room we were in was very good. Good to catch up with old friends, too.

Very enjoyable. Great service and food. Diced beef fantastic as was the Peking duck. First time there and will definitely go back there. Good ambience.

The service was great and the meals were lovely. All staff friendly and offer good advice. All 10 of us agreed it was a good night out.

Rude and surly waiters, noisy environment, poor ventilation and cold. Peking Duck was good, otherwise a disappointing experience! Not really the special birthday atmosphere we were looking for. Will try the Flower Drum

Bamboo House has to be one of the best Chinese Restaurants in Melbourne. The food is excellent. We started with Assorted Dim Sum which were delicious, Pekin Duck was excellent, meaty pieces of duck, crispy skin and minimal fat. Sliced beef with shallots was tasty and our friends ordered a combination noodle dish which was okay but not something we would usually order, a little bland for us, but they loved it. My husband tells me the wine was reasonably priced. Service was friendly, quick and waitress helpful. We are looking forward to our next visit to Bamboo House.

Went out with a bunch of mates for a long lunch. Food and service were absolutely outstanding. If you enjoy Chinese food you should definitely visit this restaurant.

Quality food and excellent atmosphere. Bamboo House has been there over 20 years but quality has not changed at all. A bit pricy so depends what's your occasion is.

Great restaurant serving the very best of Chinese cuisine. Nothing is too much for staff who provide excellent service. Suitable for any occasion from casual to fine dining

Great atmosphere, have been there before and loved there peking duck. This time with my son so we ordered more casual food, all very good. Service excellent.

The banquet is over priced. Best to order individual meals. Service is very slow. Will not be back any time soon. Food was nice though.

Bamboo House never fails to impress. Outstanding service, food and ambiance. My daughter wanted to celebrate her birthday there as it is her favourite restaurant.

Up to usual excellent standard... I have been dining at BH for a very long time indeed and never had less than a wonderful meal and experience.

The quality of the food was as usual, high. On this occasion however the service was not up to the usual high standard. It was a shame as I was out to impress someone from Sydney.

Everything was beautifully prepared, but I did wonder what they do with the rest of the Peking duck after we were served the tasty bits!

Wow, best Chinese in Melbourne, we normally eat at silks at crown casino but this is better. My favourite is eye fillet pan fry dumplings and peaking duck

Bamboo House is a family favorite - great food served by skilled pleasant staff. ideal for a special occasion or a relaxed dinner with friends.

Great service & food, recommended. Peking duck had excellent tasy crispy skin, inside delicdate thin pancakes. Ssauce was ok, but woukd have benefited from a bit more spring onion & cucumber, which were a bit lean leaving the excellent duck part a litttle unbalanced, but nonetheless, still excellent.

Consistently good food and service. There is good distance between tables so you do not feel crammed in and the noise level is always reasonable. Staff happy to accomodate menu requirements.

Amazing food every time. This was no different. Authentic Shanghaiese. Service was very attentive. My personal favourite is the Xiao Long Bao. Incredibly fresh and tasty!

Took overseas vistitors for dinner, food was wonderful. Wait staff were a little abrupt and not as wellcoming that enstablisment such as this should have.. But overall nice

We always come for Peking Duck & it never disappoints! We had to rush off to a show, but the staff were very accommodating to this!

From the moment we walked in we were blown away by the ambience of the restaurant and the hospitality and friendliness of the staff - food was wonderful and tasty - cannot fault it. There was a little misunderstanding re the main meals but once we pointed it out it was rectified very very quickly - will definitely return :)

As always, the Peking Duck was absolutely delicious. We also recommend the banana fritter for dessert, which we shared. Was a large serve & so yummy!

Wonderful food, wonderful service ......would absolutely go back time and time again. Loved the Cantonese noodles and the food overall. Dishes were of generous sizes and very fresh tasting. Definitely give this place a visit if you want a great meal out.

What a wonderful restaurant with fantastic staff! We were a group of 9 who had an early show to get to and had an hour to order, eat and get out. We explained this to the very accommodating staff and they did a wonderful job in ensuring that we were on time. We even had them decide our dishes for us to save time, and everything was delicious. Amongst others, we had Peking duck, which was prepared by the chef next to our table, and oysters 3 ways, which were eaten and enjoyed by everyone, even the few who "don't like oysters". One of our party is allergic to all seafood and was served, without fuss, his own equally delicious dishes. The wine list was impressive and reasonably priced. The food was exceptional value. We can't wait to go back and spend a more leisurely time enjoying the food and hospitality.

Service was a little bit slow when we first got there, however it did improve when the lady in charge took over. The food was great.

Fabulous. The best service and Peking duck in Melbourne in a great setting. Consistently excellent. This is a business favourite and we return again and again. Never been disappointed. Don't miss the superb salt and pepper squid either.
