Yuzu at Church Lane

Food was delicious, staff were super friendly. We arrived early and was surprised by an amazing Happy Hour. We'll be going back to try more of the menu.

We chose Yuzu for our special occasion dinner and we were incredibly impressed. Service, atmosphere, food and drinks were all fantastic! They have great happy hour specials too. Highly recommend and can't wait to return!

Traditional Japanese food but slightly modern environment. Fresh ingredients, prepared expertly, just right and very tasty. Pork Gyoza were really good. Good menu - not very lengthy. There was a "cheat note" for some Japanese food and those who can't identify some options, but it was slightly strange it didn't cover everything and in particular two items which I hadn't seen before so assume are rare and warrant a translation. But that's hardly an important issue because the helpful waitstaff explained it very clearly and happily. Service attentive and pleasant. Would be very pleased to go again. Price was fair, about right, maybe upper limit but ok and any more would be too much. I noticed a wine list wasn't given to me, but didn't care because I wasn't ordering. Maybe that's on purpose so as not to make customer feel pressured (and that's good) but maybe there's a middle ground of having a drinks list on table somewhere. Again - didn't effect my experience at all, which was very positive overall.

This is our second time to this restaurant. The skewers platter was tasty but the super kale salad had too much dressing so it was very salty. Beef fillet and mushroom was very nice and the tiramisu was excellent.

really great food. had a great atmosphere too, will come back again. Staff took a while to serve, which was frustrating during busy lunch time.

The food was very tasty and the happy hour drinks were great! Excellent value for money. Service was not the best as we would often be asked whether we wanted drinks by three different waiters. Overall a lovely meal

Great Beef and seafood Bento box for lunch with excellent service and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend and will be returning again with other friends.

Really nice Japanese restaurant in the heart of the city. This restaurant is a regular for my colleagues and I, and we have been going for years.

Friendly staff, good food (Japanese standard rather than gastronomic), good prices, large and hence noisy but with high ceilings - so easy to have a private or business conversation without being overheard. Great sake selection. Go there regularly with clients and even friends with babies (they have a couple of baby seats), who seem fascinated by all the sights, sounds and smells. I just wish they would learn to deliver plates not as they make them, but as ordered and not all at once, which seems common in many Japanese restaurants I guess.

Service was very poor. We had to ask to menus multiple times. We had to ask about our food multiple times, part of our order never even arrived. I really wanted to like this place but the service was so poor that I just couldn’t. People who arrived after us had their food come before ours, others seemed to enjoy their experience.

Food was really good. Crème Brulee black tea was really tasty. Just was bit slow at food delivering but waiter were very friendly so overall experience was great.

Good Food for a decent price quite quiet on a Saturday as I think it’s much busier during the week being closer to offices the the foodies flinders lane

Great Japanese in the city. Well priced food, and great alcohol selection. Happy hour is 5-7pm on week nights and super handy location near southern cross and Flinders street station.

The quality of the food was exceptional. Takaki beef was something special. Fantastic value for money (especially if you make it for happy hour!). Service was brilliant. Will definitely come back.

The food is very delicous. Love the happy hour 5-7pm which great deal on drinks and entree combo. Also the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Food was really yummy. The sashimi was thick and fresh. My favourite dish was the kingfish carpaccio. Also the udon broth was quite spectacular too.

Not many people on a Saturday night. Service was efficient and food was good. Chicken Karaage was crunchy outside and moist inside. Matcha tiramisu is really really nice .

Hidden in the little alley but has great food with options to suit everyone, fast service. friendly staff. Love the refreshing drinks. Definitely visit again

Delicious as always. Great food and service. Will be back. Takoyaki, sushi/sashimi platter with the matcha noodle salad. Glass of bubbles wasn't too bad either!
