Yuuma Japanese Restaurant

The reason I decided to try this restaurant was because a wagyu distributor referred me to try their wagyu beef here. However this was very disappointing as I was given bad cuts. It was probably more suitable for stew rather than steak cut for teriyaki beef. I however can totally recommend their sushi bar, very fresh and clean.

The head chef Sean has a warm personality and takes pride into making sure you have a great meal and an experience.

Great selection of bento boxes for lunch, including the miso cod and karaage chicken!

Everything was very average. I was a bit disappointed since it wasn’t as authentic as it seemed like. Seems like they put a lot of effort into marketing but the food wasn’t as good as we expected.

Delicious food, as always. We have prawn tempura sushi and pork belly gyoza as entrees each time we go, so good. It's a challenge for the staff managing the demand and the restricted numbers, but they do it really well.

This little restaurant was highly recommended to us and didn't disappoint.

A great gem at Vic Park, good for a small group booking, and they also do awesome grazing platter for take-away!

Located next to the IMP, it's a great place to have Japanese food for lunch or dinner, as well as Japanese-style desserts!

Always love dining at Yuuma, especially with the variety of items for their Chef Selection option!

It's a great place to host a business meeting, especially the food here is really delicious!

Overall nice ambience - nice food but feel rushed as we had only 1 hour and had to leave. We were also reminded a few times and reason of social distancing was used however the tables were close to each other so not sure about social distancing. I cant imagine they could have fit more tables in there before social distancing.

You never disappoint, the freshness of the food. You can taste the difference. All the staff are friendly and welcoming.

The food is high quality and the service is lovely. We really wish the degustation menu was available (usually $45 pp) as that is what kept us coming back time and time again

We enjoyed our food overall. However the limited dining time was not informed prior to arrival and only told when we just sat down to vacate our table within 60 mins (though we arrived 10 mins late). Our mains came 20 mins before the time we were suppose to vacate and we had to rush to finish off our mains. Overall rushed experience.

Food was fantastic however they will have to work on their table service to make it a better dining experience. Nevertheless worth the visit.

We enjoyed entree but were disappointed with mains. We informed the waitress that we don’t eat raw meat and that one person in pregnant. They assured that they can make cooked fish instead of raw. When we received the bento boxes one order was incorrect (which they have replaced after 20 mins) and the other cooked fish was only lightly cook on top (not cooked through). Also seating time is only for one hour which means everyone has to rush when main takes about 30 mins to come out.

Friendly staff! Good quality and presentation of food but I didn't like that we were told that they needed the table back after just over an hour as we were a bigger group and takes longer to order etc. It's BYO and you get a 10% discount voucher at the nearby bottlo if you pop into the restaurant first for your reservation. Great idea.

As always, the food was exceptional! Comparable to Nobu or Marumo. The service was good. My only comment is that staff need to slow down the service in the setto meal option, diners like to enjoy the experience and a gap between each course is desirable. I had requested this but courses still came out rapidly.

Food was great - we had the duck breast for main and it was cooked perfectly. Taro balls with houjicha icecream very nice combination as well. In particular we liked the simple wooden decor with the greenery on the wall - nice touch.
