very good wagyu and excellent service. will definitely be back
very good food and excellent service. definitely will be back
Authentic bustling restaurant, with perfect service attitude and superb food. Many Japanese clientele reassuring! We tried Shabu shabu which was cooked to perfection, plus wagyu gyoza.
The food was excellent but the service was ok. A party of 6 was actually seated after us and they got their drinks and food before we did. We had grab MULTIPLE servers just to get what we wanted. Besides that, the food was amazing. The Wagyu was impeccable.
Very good Japanese food, good atmosphere and helpful staff. Have been there a few times, and never been disappointed. My tip is to have the BBQ rather than than the a la carte
this place has really good food! been here for a couple of times. try the wagyu oyster blade, hot served noodles and chunk roll. must always book in advance!
food and service was great, the best Wagyu I can find in Melbourne
The Wagyu beef here is delicious. They also have an exciting collection of mixed drinks. Even though they were so busy the night we went they made a big effort to find us a seat to wait.
very nice food, friendly service, highly recommend, will be back next time.
Food was amazing highly recommend to your traditional Japanese restaurant. However pity service does not match quality of the food. Lots of waiters no service
The food we ordered was really nice and all the staff were very friendly there. Definitely will go back and try different food again. 😊
Consistently good food and great service and advice. A little pricey but choose wisely and you'll enjoy your visit
Wagyu Ya have successfully replicated a typical grill restaurant in Japan in terms of layout, ambience and food quality. There is an extensive variety of premium quality meat cuts and Japanese beer, sake, shochu and whiskey. There is even a separate menu for marble 10+ wagyu which I highly recommend. The desserts are delicate yet have the subtle notes of typical japanese flavours of yuzu and matcha. The staff are very accommodating. Although the price is on the dearer side, it's worth it as this is the standard you receive in Japan. I highly recommend this place.
Excellent Food and friendly service. It's definitely not a cheap feed, however the quality and taste make it absolutely worth the cost. Would not hesitate to go again.
The best beef in Melbourne, best sauces, best kimchi, and best wafu salad. Take cash as you get 5% off At the end, which means more wagyu!
Nice food and atmosphere with friendly staff. loved the luxe set menu.
Wagyu ya is the best for bbq wagyu beef japanese restaurant that I've ever tried. Beef is super soft and tender. Nice atmosphere and great services. Would recommend this place.
The staff were very accommodating and the food was ridiculously good. Servings were much larger than expected as we came in a group of 5 and ordered the set for 4 but still couldn't finish. Bang for your buck.
no explain on menu, foods and staff was no follow up orders and looks so un proffessional. all staff was look tired and not managed on specific table order.
The food is good but you have to wait for a long time. I would really recommend you to try wagyu ox tongue which is very yummy.
Food full of flavour. My family thoroughly enjoyed it. Issue is its very compact and very, very busy, but its plain to see why- good food
The food was absolutely amazing, we had the meats and they were all cut to perfection and melted in your mouth! The atmosphere was beautiful and customer service was fantastic. Would definitely come back!
Delicious, high quality Japanese food and decent serving size. Their wagyu oyster blade and thin ox tongue is consistently good. Plus, they have the best nasu dengaku in Melbourne. Service is generally quite good. If you go during peak times, the waitstaff can be busy and sometimes doesn't notice you calling them, but they'll eventually get to you and are still courteous.
Excellent food, great service. The salmon maki rolls are always a highlight and a must order. Meat is seriously high quality too. Will come back for sure!
the service was terrible that night, after first order, we waited for 1 hour to be servied by second dish.and the waitress was just so unfriendly
Both food and services are great! very polite waitresses! The environment is great too. Love this place and will definitely come back with friends in future!
Ambient surroundings. The service was great and the food was absolutely divine. Wagyu Ya has never let me down. All the different cuts of the beef is mouth-wateringly amazing.
It’s only average, $130/person of valentine’s menu have no wagyu at all which is terrible promotion for a wagyu house! The steak was pretty awful! Other dishes are very average!
it the full fusion Japanese restaurant, having very quality beef and ox tongue. Nice food, nice service. Nice environment. fair price. worth to have it
Great food, Service was a little lacking and one of the dishes was very late in coming meaning on of the party was watching us eat.
Unfortunately was the customer service worst experience ever! From the drinks to the dessert! Quality of food was good, nothing exceptional in rapport of the price we paid! $90 per person with $30 sake, still water, 1 coke and 1 jus, 🤔🤔🤔. We are not understand how is possible to forget drink, plates, child request, sauce, ecc!!!
Wagyu ya had amazing service - waiters and waitresses were very kind and patient. The food was very good and delicious. 100% returning and introducing my parents to wagyu ya.
The dishes were all absolutely amazing. The punch was surprisingly nice too and didn't taste too strong even though we added 4 shots of vodka in. The meat is so soft and just melts in your mouth. Will definitely be back!
It's a good place to eat different beef cuts (charcoal grill) and have a couple of drinks. Reasonable price. Will be coming back here again.
The service was immaculate, with very helpful staff (it was my first time using the grill). The food was delicious and fresh! My family greatly enjoyed it.
It was great. Meat was delicious! Will go back there again ! The service by the waiters was also excellent. The fried prawns not so good tho!
The service was fantastic and food was delicious. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends. A friend suggested we go there and was an amazing experience.
Great food - we had the assorted sashimi and wagyu BBQ dishes! Very efficient service - food came out promptly; in fact the only negative feedback being the wait staff were too eager to clear our empty plates once we have finished and they kept doing that 4-5 times throughout our stay there. However, will definitely return!
Wasnt filling. Service ok. It was also a big pricy escpecially the scallop which were 20 bucks for only 4 pcs. Same with the dumplings.
I’ve been here several times and always enjoy the food and service. It’s usually busy and the staff are always friendly. The food is fresh and delicious!
The food is excellent, even though the price is a little bit higher than other Japanese stores. It's wagyu! Excellent service, nice staff, convenient location. Love it
Great dining experience great Wagu and good service. Would highly recommend this restaurant well worth it. Slightly expensive but well worth the money for Quality Food.
Love the food, sashimi are fresh, meats are wonderful. I can’t see what renovations they have done. 1st floor and 2nd floor looks the same.
Very good food. Awesome grill and good meat. Good staff
Restaurant food was good and delicious. However, restaurant staff should have be more friendly and smile on their face. I feel unwelcome. Staff has no expression on their face.
Quality ingredients, expertly prepared and impeccably presented. Special praise for the mushrooms and fish. Sound drinks list. Nice ambience. Professional, courteous service, reasonable prices. A top place.
Sake prices pretty reasonable. But don’t bother to ask the waitress which BBQ beef to order - they tend to point you to the most expensive ones
The lunch bento box was awesome! The shabu shabu was good but a tad salty... would be much better if they cut down on the sauce.
Great value for the special lunch set, got the wagyu beef bbq set and it was delicious. Would love to come back to try the dinner menu next time.
Small and cozy with really delicious good food. The experience is let down a little by fairly indifferent service... there’s little feeling of hospitality and being listened to, and out table interrupted mid-sentence more than once when they wanted to talk. But look past that, the food outweighs the service thing, we’ll go again.
