Food was great, the beef were up to expectation! Service was ok, made a booking for 2 at 7.30pm but ended up got seated down at around 8pm.

The food quality is excellent!and the price is pretty worth for it. The location is easy to find. Will definitely come back in my next travel to MEL.

When we arrived we were seated right away and we weren't rush to make orders. The quality of the food was exceptional and your staff was super friendly. It was our our 4th year anniversary and it couldn't of been anymore perfect thank you.

Never disappointed for people who want a great great surprise

One of the best Japanese BBQ restaurant in Melbourne. Restaurant is too small (or too busy) so it's not for first date. Nice meats slightly expensive.

Food was great albeit a little expensive. Atmosphere also great; staff very helpful and when ordered, food was brought out and cooked quickly. Expect to spend over $150 per person; the set meals can be a less expensive option.

We had a great dinner at Wagyu Ya. We had the charcoal grill which was fun and something we hadn't experienced before at a Japanese restaurant. The service was good too. We were a group of 8 and the only thing I found a bit annoying was when confirming our booking it was stated we only had the table for 1.5 hours. When doing a set menu or several courses with a group of people this is a tight time frame and makes the experience less enjoyable if you feel pushed for time. In the end the restaurant wasn't that busy so it didn't matter. However I think its a current trend that is very off-putting.

The service was rather slow and the wait staff appeared to be quite forgetful. Understandably, it was quite a busy evening, but this was still a bit of a disappointment given Wagyu Ya was always one of our favourite places to go and celebrate.

Meat was very tender and tasty. Atmosphere was comfortable with good lighting. Price is quite high but to be expected with the quality of meat.

Good food, but a bit small. On the pricey side, but would be nice for special occasions. If you generally enjoy Japanese BBQ's, definitely try this place.

Amazing food and cozy atmosphere. The variety was fantastic and every dish (even including the fruit punch we ordered) was delicious. Only downside is that we waited quite a while to be seated despite booking beforehand, and as they are so busy, were only allowed a limited time for you to be seated at the restaurant.

Good wagyu dumpling. Nice customer service. Fantastic ox tongue. The discount offered for cash payment was very nice. The delivery of dishes was not very in time and the wagyu beef has cooled down.

Great food and vibe, customer service was good as well. I have to mention that I really love the Green tea cheese cake with red bean.

The food was great. The staff were very Helpful for meat selection and cooking tips. We had a great night out. Would recommend this place to anyone.

The foods were delicious and we like the eye roll steak. It cook perfectly. However the customer service was so disappointed. We raised our hands few time but still no one noticed us. And then we ask for water when taking order but she forgot it until we finished the first course then we ask for the other staff. We saw the staff were busy to serve the table upstairs. Is it the reason that they don’t need to pay attention to the table downstairs?

Prefect foods. But the environment still need to be improved. Too much people standing near entrance and I just sit there.

delicious wagyu beef and nice food, great environment for family and friends gathering, although a bit overpriced, the quality of food still worth trying again. The thing made me unhappy is the holiday 10% surcharge on Mother’s Day, it is ridiculous.

There was good service, loud atmosphere though so not good for intimate conversation. Food was beautiful. You'll enjoy a large assortment of well prepared food.

Nice atmosphere, it was fun to grill your own meat! Waiters and waitressed were all very friendly. Great food and presentation of wood was nice!

I had dinner with my mum at wagyu ya tonight and we had a great time. We ordered three different types of wagyu and they all taste fantastic! Love wagyu ya and will definitely come again. :))

The meal's beautiful except the waiting time is too long. I booked online at 7:30 but I didn't get sat until 8 or past 8. It would be great if there's sits for people on waiting other than standing there. but beautiful food for 100%

A tiny busy restaurant that serves superb authentic Japanese food. Friendly bilingual staffs who are fluent in both Japanese and English. No complaints about the food at all, we ordered eleven dishes and they all tasted delicious!

Amazing experience here. The atmosphere was perfect for a casual girls night. The price a little bit more than we expected, but overall it was worth it

The food was okay, I don't feel it was worth the $$$. We spent 300 between 4 adults and 1 child on a cook yourself, no alcohol and left still hungry, the service wasn't in line with the pricing either. I wouldn't rush back, there are better options in South Yarra.

The food was great. The table service was not bad. The cashier lady looks like she hates the job and dislikes customers. Overall, great restaurant if the cashier lady show some hospitality.

Extremely busy restaurant and quite noisy but service was good and the food quality is great. We enjoyed the sashimi and the BBQ dishes. Overall a nice place to dine.
