Ventuno Restaurant

Pizzas were delicious and plentiful. Very nice atmosphere with lights on tables at night by the waterfront. Service was quick and efficient on a busy night.

Always delicious pastas and lovely produce turned into great dishes. This is our favourite pre-theatre and now that they take bookings it makes the night stress free.

Ventuno is the best and most consistently run restaurant I regularly go to for both food and service and the atmosphere in Walsh Bay is so relaxed.

My husband and I dined at Ventuno before attending a show at the Sydney Theatre Company as it is situated in very close proximity to the theatre. We received excellent, quick service and were seated in an ideal spot overlooking the tranquil waters of Walsh Bay. The food was absolutely delicious: my husband had the beef fillet and I had the pork loin with prosciutto; for dessert he had sorbet and I had creme caramel. With drinks, our meal cost approximately $100. There were only a few things that I feel could be considered by management. Whilst there were of pizza options on the menu, there were not many choices for other main courses. My husband is lactose intolerant. It would have been much easier for him if a code to indicate suitable dishes was marked on the menu; in the same way that gluten free meals were designated. We will certainly return to Ventuno when we book our next play as it was most memorable in terms of ambience and scrumptious food!

Atmosphere and food was great, however on paying the bill which was quite large due to the amount of my people in the party, we felt rushed and pushed to leave the restaurant, which left a sour tone with everyone, Wednesday the restaurant was starting to close for the night

the service was good the food was ok nothing out of the box .the place is cold no heating inside or out which made it unpleasant for us as it was a cold night.

Nice and casual venue. Great spot to catch up with friends and colleagues. Good causal menu to share or have individual serving. try and sit outside if the weather is nice.

Fantastic service and food was beautiful. We sat outside and it was very romantic and peaceful. Inside was quite noisy and had a few groups.

Ventuno is one of our favourite restaurants. The service is always welcoming and friendly, the food is good and the location is hard to beat. It is quieter and more relaxing after the post-theatre crowd has left but also great for getting a nice meal before theatre. Highly recommended!

Good fresh Italian food in a classic Sydney waterfront location with efficient friendly staff. Good for any occasion whether business, family or personal. Really enjoyable.

The food was tasty, lovely view/outlook, very nice ambience, service was friendly but very hard to get. We waited a very long time (maybe an hour) for our meals to arrive. No greeting when we left, so disappointing service over-shadowed food and overall experience.

Usual very friendly and welcoming atmosphere; good quality food and prompt service; a little noisy due to some larger groups; overall one of our favourites!

Fabulous service and meal for us all at our family dinner. Having a baby at the table not a problem They were ready with a high chair and served us quickly. Loved the pasta and the calamari.

Authentic, fresh Italian food. Great location - tranquil setting on the waterfront with a nice view. Such a pleasant change to the mayhem of Circular Quay. We will be back.

Upon arrival, we were promptly taken to our seats with a magnificent view across Walsh Bay. The service was efficient and unobtrusive and our meal was brought out within 15 minutes of ordering, which was perfect for pre-theatre. Wonderful food and great service!

A great position with a relaxed atmosphere. Great for both pre show meals if going to the Rosalind Packer theatre but also for a more slow paced romantic evening. The food is excellent although maybe a few more choices on the menu would be a plus. The wine list is magnificent and has been created to really only have the very best wines for the food. I have been three times and each time just as good as the last, with attentive and friendly service by those who clearly care about what they are doing.

Nice food and great location. Put us on an indoor table even though we asked for outdoor when booking and outdoor was not full which was disappointing.

We took mum (6 in total) for a Mother's Day dinner Great food, great service, great atmosphere. They accommodated our request for an inside table.

Great location especially for international visitors, service great, food great but rich. Food came out very fast and no pressure to leave the table once we had finished

Excellent food but felt very rushed our booking was at 8:15pm no time between entree wnd mains. Restaurant closes at 11pm and we were asked to leave a few times.

Great views, good service, and pretty good pizza. An extensive list of mostly Italian wines, but probably overpriced for the quality. Worth a pre-theatre visit.

Great, very filling and delicious. Good quick service too. Pizzas were pretty big. We had a lovely table overlooking the water. Great choice of wines. Nice.

You would be hard pressed to find a better location along with the usual excellent service, delicious food and beautiful proseco. My favourite in Sydney.

Great Italian food and wine, good selection with a carefully selected wine list. Perfectly attentive service which is not too pushy, just right! The perfect close-to-City location for a sunny day.

I always enjoy eating at this restaurant. Great food, friendly staff and not overpriced. Not to mention the stunning setting. A pleasant way to spend my time before going to the theatre.

food was as always GREAT 9/10. However given two courses and we were done in under an hour, ...basically felt like we were an inconvenience , to be rushed out the door. mains in 10 mins from order, asked for orders 3 times in first 10 mins etc. Slow down, let people enjyo the great view and food.....after all there were LOTS of empty tables available at the time we were there, so it was no pre theatre rush..slowwwwww down . :-)

We had an excellent evening. Good food. Good atmosphere. A Great setting looking over the harbour. The lamb ragu tagliatelle was a hit with everyone. Pizza was also very good. Highly recommended.

Food was good, but service was average at best. The ravioli and risotto were both quite good, while my ragu with sausage meat ragu was reasonable. Waited long periods at times for service.

The service was friendly and efficient as we were going to theatre. The view and ambiance of restaurant was beautiful and the food was delicious

Venturi is a busy restaurant with not enough staff to cater for the amount of tables. Food and severs were both good. Thank you to the staff that did their best.

Excellent restaurant, food was great and view of harbour most enjoyable. Prices were reasonable and quantity of food on the antipasto was very generous and all our meals were tasty.

Lovely food, great service. We told them we were going to the theatre and there was no problem with getting served quickly in plenty of time. We even had time for a desert, which was yummy

Speedy, friendly service and great recommendations on food and wine to ensure we made it to our theatre booking on time. Although very busy, the staff made us feel most welcome.

We eat at Ventuno regularly before attending the theatre and find the food consistently good. A real Italian restaurant with excellent gluten-free and low-carb options despite being a pizzeria. Great salads and seafood expecially the calamari. The food is always beautifully presented and fresh. A very good wine list with a lot of by-the glass choices to sip as you watch the boats go by.

A great venue for eating at if going to see a play. Waiters were helpful and polite. Food was delicious and a a wide selections to choose from on the menu. Felt the gelato was over priced for two scoops.

The restaurant is well located with a view over the water. We went early so it was quiet but it was as filling up as we left for the theatre. Food was very tasty. Not a cheap meal $100 for 3 entrees, bread and 2 glasses of wine.

The restaurant is in a beautiful location great atmosphere and the entrees were exceptional my spatchcock was a little dry I would definitely be back perfect pre theatre venue.

Always great. Fast pre theatre service, delicious food, professional servers, excellent wine list. Love the pizzas! We meet here at least once a month for family dinners or lunch.

Very attentive staff.Good menu,good wines and all good value. Italian influence was the theme. Plenty to choose from and as we were there with vegetarians good choices for them as well.
