Very busy pre-show crowd. Very prompt service and lovely food, but not very hot. Sat at high table on stools which wouldn’t suit everyone.

Fast service before going to the STC theatre across the road. Booked a car spot across the road/booked a meal at Ventuno then off to the theatre - all good and very efficient - specially on a stormy night. Good stuff. Tasty with nice wine too.

We arrived 30 min early. I politely enquired if we could sit at the bar but was told there was a function so we were told to go sit outside on the couch, which was a nice spot. However, none of the staff came to offer drink orders, despite the restaurant being half empty. Then when it got to our booking time, I had to go back to the front to ask if the table was available. The fellow pointed at a table and said go and make yourself comfortable. From then on, the service was very good, and food was excellent. I was just very surprised that for such a lovey restaurant, staff didn’t take drinks orders from customers nor did the maitre d follow up with us. We felt like a bit of a burden.

Ate there with a group of friends , the service and food was average which was a shame as we have eaten there several times before and have always been happy. The chocolate lava desert ,which was heralded with great fanfare arrived cold with no flow at all 😒My coffee was cold . The general view from the group was mild disappointment especially as I had said how good it was usually.

The restaurant is amazing and the choice of food is impressive: the ingredients are fresh and the dishes are authentic, truly Italian! We have been there several times but yesterday we definitely had the best pizza ever at Ventuno.

Apart from the fact that we got mains before entrees it was fabulous. The waiter apologised and gave us a discount off the bill to compensate. The food is always delicious here. I would recommend it as a great place for dinner before a show at STC.

Staff very helpful in trying to meet our needs within short timeframe. We were sat outside on cold night : blankets were rushed to us but we would have appreciated being forewarned...and wouldn’t have come. Four had pizza: they all said’It’s not as good as it used to be’. Gnocchi and risotto good. We like Ventunos...

Wait staff were very friendly & welcoming. We would have preferred to be informed that it was a communal table - not a very romantic setting at all, however the food was exceptional! Would definately return. Thank you.

It must be new management, or owners. Have been there 5 times over last 2 years... worst service, and quality of food ever.. I’m sorry but cannot return

Lovely waterfront table (it was my birthday), attentive service and beautiful food. Skinny fries with black olives were to die for.

Food was fabulous but the service was average. You had to flag wait staff every time there was no checking in.

Incorrect billing and 10 percent surcharge on a Sunday not ideal. Food ok! Kids meals good! Great location

Very disappointing and best if you go only have the pizza which one of our party had and said it was quite good. Three of us ordered the Osso Bucco and couldn’t believe how bad it was. For something so simple to get right it was worst than cafeteria food. Firstly it was barely at room temperature, even second time round when we asked for the meal to be heated. Secondly, the meat was tough when usually it should be falling off the bone. Thirdly, it was all bone and hardly any meat. Lastly the sauce was flavourless and the whole dish didn’t feel as if it had been slow cooked. Having said that when we provided the feedback the one dessert and espresso that were ordered came at no charge followed by a courtesy lemoncello.

Food fantastic, service was average. Nice waiters but lacking quality service. Forgetting to take order and also bringing out sparkling water when we asked for still.

Service was good food nice and well the wine (glass of Pico Macario - Livigone Barbera) even better as it paired superbly with the Fettucini and Duck Ragu (a little bland though)

Unfortunately we were seated next to a family with a crying baby and close to a group who frequently got up to smoke nearby. Not much they can do about the crying but really why seat a group of two by a family? We therefore chose to leave after our mains and go elsewhere for drinks and dessert.

Seafood spaghetti was delicious with a lovely amount of chilli - not too much but a wonderful flavour.

As usual the food and wine were terrific. We were there for a pre-theatre dinner so it was pretty busy and very noisy and that was the only, but unavoidable, downside. It is so convenient for the Ros Packer theatre and we always know we'll get out in time for the show so we'll keep on coming

Extensive menu. Delicious food served swiftly as we had an early theatre booking. Waiters are outstanding and nothing is too much trouble for them. Good value.

Ventuno is an excellent restaurant. It never disappoints. Staff super!

We have been frequenting Cafe Ventuno pretty much since it was first opened. We always visit when we have an event to see at the Ros Packer Theatre in Hickson Road. The atmosphere is authentically italian and the food and wine is truly delicious and delightful!
