The Royal Oak Hotel - Double Bay

My advice - don’t order appetiser and main course at same time - as appetiser arrived after main course - steaks are lesser quality than before - been coming to the Oak since 1977 - disappointing

Fantastic Lunch!! Reasonable pricing, attentive service and good quality. Bistro is fantastic. Love the decor ambiance and atmosphere. Can't really fault at all. Just a good overall venue

Unbeknown to us the Oaks started renovations on Monday and the construction noise was quite loud. The staff I met were very nice and tried to oblige us but we chose to eat elsewhere. We look forward to returning there when the construction has finished.

Prompt service. Good pub food. Good value. Not too noisy for a Thursday night. They should stop people from smoking on footpath near the doors as the wind brings smoke into indoors.

We had a great night at the Royal Oak. Very friendly attentive staff and a great atmosphere. The food was great, we had lot's of share plates between friends.

Couldn't find my table or staff to direct me to my booked table. I ordered Lamb rump and received Beef Rump totally different to my order :(

After an initial mix up with our table they continually made up for it the rest of the evening with the most amazing service. Share plates were delicious especially the dumplings and dim sum.

Great attentive service...beautiful food and an atmosphere to mach...cheers...you know there are very few pubs these days that get the simple facts together...but when they do you know your in for a great night😃😃

Very nice dinner - food was good and the service friendly and the hotel had a good vibe without being overly loud. Really pleasant environment for a good local dinner and catch up with friends

we had a nice night. Nice staff, nice but average food. Reasonable prices but very noisy which was expected given that it was a Friday night. Toilets need attending to

Food was great, place was lively and staff were attentive, cocktails. Good wine list comfortable. Parking was easy and sports was on the TV for those interested

Relaxedness atmosphere with great food. Kids are made to feel welcome as meals come with an ice cream and there is also colouring pack available.

Thanks, great venue to catch up with old friends. Had the burger, great value at $15, delicious and enjoyed the large selection of beers on tap
