Authentic Italian bistro with delicious home-made elements. The gnocchi di fungi was sensational, my partner really like the generosity in size of each individual gnocchi.

Disappointing. Pizzas were average and meals not worth their price tag. Chilli on everything doesn't make it taste better. First time customers and won't be returning.

Staff are friendly but it’s over priced. Chicken was way over cooked but the pizza bases were nice if not a little too much cheese. Not into running places down so I’d recommend giving it a go.

The food was delicious and the service spot on. There was a good range of drinks to choose from. My father particularly enjoyed the bread and butter pudding, and my husband and i tried the semifroddo for the first time. It won't be the last. Overall, good value for a good meal.

Good service. Friendly staff who were attentive to all guests. Well presented food. Nice layout of the restaurant gave plenty of space to spread out.

3 out of the 4 meals were great. The 4th was not. It was the lamb shoulder special and it was way over cooked and dried out.

The Roman Empire Bar Restaurant featured excellent food and service. Situated in a hidden corner of Carina, Roman Empire lived up to expectations and gave us a great night out.

We were a party of 8 for lunch. We were warmly greeted on our arrival and offered a choice of seating inside the restaurant or outside in the sun as it was a cool day. Water arrived immediately without any request. The lunch menu offered a good variety and also there were specials. Everyone likes specials. There is a good variety of drinks on offer. We did not have dessert but there we plenty to choose from. The coffee is very good.

Service was very friendly and welcoming. Great menu, and the meals we ordered arrived quickly and were fresh and delicious. Great value for money too.

Three friends went for lunch on a Friday. We were early and the place was pretty empty. Staff were attentive to a degree and two of us enjoyed our meal. One ordered the Mariana fettuccine but wasn't overly impressed. My chicken was a bit chewy but had a nice flavour. It is years since we had been to Roman Empire, and clearly it has been taken over from the Italian family who used to run it , very successfully. Not sure if we will return, but I was impressed by the look of their pizzas, so that might persuade me to try again. Not a total loss but could have been better, but not too expensive either. Cant have everything it appears.

Easy access and parking to restaurant; good staff and great food. Great ambiance. Reasonably priced and food came relatively quickly so not a long wait to eat even though the restaurant was full. So overall, a very good experience.

We were very pleased with the food and service. We had heard the restaurant was under new management, so wondered whether it would be as good as our last visit. We needn't have worried, it was a great experience.

We went for a family birthday celebration and the food was really tasty and excellent, the service was great and we didn't have to wait long for the meal to come out.

It has changed a lot over the years. The meals used to be massive and hearty however, doesn't seem to be the same anymore. I hope it gets better again.

This was my first visit. The food was really delicious and a good size serving. The service was a bit slow and indifferent and not much atmosphere. I'd go again based on the food to see if the service is any better.

Staff are very friendly and prompt with bringing orders. Entree's taste great! We had the Garlic Pizza Bread and the meatballs. Very tasty. My dinner was really good. I had the Fettucine Marinara. Someone else at the table had the Veal Scallopine. The might was a little on the tough side which can ruin a scallopine dish. Meat also didn't taste fresh. The Moreton Bay Bug Risotto was also ordered. Bugs were salty and the rice was non-existant. Overall the night was pleasing. Last time I was here was 4 years ago and I remember walking away quite content. This time...don't expect anything amazing. Great for a quick bite.

Nice casual ambience, meals were tasty a little rushed maybe. All in all a good dining experience. Deserts, especially the Tiramisu was very nice. Prices quite reasonable.

Unpretentious busy restaurant with friendly service and fantastic food. It's a real favourite with locals. The pasta dishes are just beautiful. Our kids enjoyed their pizzas and desserts.

Met friends for lunch and as always, very good service and excellent food. We have been here quite a few times now and have never been disappointed.

Food was great as per usual. Waitress got our drinks order wrong twice. Pork belly was delicious. Highly recommend. Good value and will go again.

Not as good as usual I always get bug risotto this time very little risotto and scorched bugs. Chicken was dry, service was slow. Disappointing!

Food was great, service was good, but need to have more flexibility with payment method. We had a party of 7 friends and everyone had either an eftpos card or credit card. The sign indicated only one bill per table, no split bills. When we questioned the waitress, her response was to go over to the teller machine in the convenience store which was totally inconvenient. We just settled in at our table on a cold winter's night and there was no way we were going to get up and walk a fair distance to go get money out. Many people these days don't carry cash and pay by credit card. We didn't order any share plates and only had a main and our own drinks to make it easy to pay for our own meals. As a large group of girlfriends, we all pay for our own meals so we will use cafes where you can either split the bill or have counter service where everyone pays at the counter.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. Cracked pepper would have been nice and corkage is a bit high but you can't have everything I guess.

Fabulous food and amazing service. What more could you want? Well it's byo wine only so it's even better. Which is great if you have that special bottle of champagne to enjoy for your friends big birthday. How good is that? It's great amazing and fabulous I say.

Great restaurant that never disappoints. They cater for kids and for special occasions. Staff are always friendly. Varied and interesting menu and excellent food. Tops!

All 4 meals were reasonably good, especially the 2 pizzas. However, the portion size of the other 2 mains - chicken saltimboca, seafood risotto were quite small for the price. Service wasn't the best. Fortunately we had pizza bread starter, otherwise we would have been still been hungry after dinner.
