The Governor Hotel

It was very enjoyable, although the service was a little slow, perhaps the staff are still finding their feet. The atmophere was great and loved the decor, very pleasing to the eye. It is a breath of fresh air to the Macquarie Park area and I must say long overdue as a resident in this area. Now we have a local to and meet up with friends for drinks or something to eat, yah !!

Very overpriced food and drinks.....$14 for a Pint of Peroni! Dining area has no atmosphere. The prices charged should at least include table service.......I’m guessing it’s catering for mid week corporate clients. As a family of 4 it cost us $105 for 2 burgers, a pizza and a steak. We won’t be back!

Awesome fit out, food was great but was a bit expensive. Wish there was an area for the kids to run around safely and out of the way

Great venue with great choice of menu. Good choice of seating areas in 4 different zones. Great range of beer on tap. Easy parking options.

Food was great, but the discounts didn’t extend to drinks, a little pricing for food including drinks and finally they close too early. Location was good, however parking is restrictive.

The food was good but disappointed the lift at the rooftop wasn’t working and there wasn’t variety in food at the rooftop, we needed to go down stairs to eat.

Over priced and not even close for value for money. Staff were very polite which is the only thing going for this venue. Food was average

Fabulous dining area with plenty of different zones - menu has a good range of options too. Recommend the pumpkin ravioli and DIY chicken taco plate.

Friendly staff, good food and spacious. The only thing is that the place opens early, so if they offer breakfast as well, would be perfect!

Amazing staff, great food and atmosphere! The architecture is beautiful with lots of detail and huge space! Gets busy so book ahead if you can :) Highly recommend and the next best for the Northside is the city!

Great new destination. Small hiccup on table reservation but rectified by fantastic manager. Food was very good. Would like to see menu diversify from RSL type food to make a point of difference. Highly recommended.

The thing I like the most about the Governor is the friendly staff. But also the foods not bad the cocktails are good. And there’s a courtesy bus to take you home.

I visited with work friends for lunch. Floor staff were friendly and efficient. We waited about a 30 min wait for our food, which we found pricey for the quality. The interior is spacious, clean and modern, although I didn't appreciate the wall-mounted animal head decorations.

Amazing - best venue in Macquarie Park. We will return for both personal and work events. Great food, staff and atmosphere. Highly recommended and worth the visit! Thank you

Incredibly over-priced drinks and food. The food is good, but still too expensive compared to...well, anywhere else in Sydney. They've got a bit of a captive audience in their current location, but these prices wouldn't fly if there was any competition within a 10km radius. A real mash up of styles too...you're greeted by faux marble busts at the door as though you're in the Las Vegas approximation of Rome, and then handed a laminated place-mat menu as though you've turned up to Pizza Hut on all you can eat night. All of this could easily be over-looked if the pricing was more reasonable. It's hard to enjoy a meal when you feel like you've been fleeced.

Great facility, very modern and classy. Food was good, staff very friendly and helpful. Great range of beer on tap and variety of alcohol. Two bars, private booths will be back

We went for a small lunch for my Dads Birthday, Great service, food and atmosphere. Really lovely, friendly staff. We will be back to try the upstairs bar!

Great interior & cool rooftop bar with great music, and yummy food. The big drawback is that both times I have attended coffee & dessert stops at 9pm?!? Too early! Would’ve killed for a coffee before driving home :(

Food was lovely, really great experience. We were seated in a booth so it was nice and private but large enough for a group of 7.

Food excellent but told has to wait 10 minutes because they weren't trashing order so give the chefs a chance to catch up. Too noisy!

Great new venue, I dont know what the obsession is with the animal heads, the feel of the place is very fresh and modern, then there are dead animal heads (even if they are replicas) are a strange fit. Food was good, and cocktail menu fun. Looking forward to checking out the roof top bar.

Nice space, welcoming staff, good food. The parking is going to be an issue, though, ie there is hardly any! Would be better if they had real plants, not fake ones.

Lovely environment and terrific pumpkin ravioli! Music is a little to loud for a setting where dining and talking is the focus. Staff are friendly, helpful and professional

Came on Friday, enjoyed it so much we invited the inlaws to check it out today for lunch. Fantastic food so far, really liked everything so far. And i put in a feedback card, but fantastic service from Alex (i think there's two - one with glasses) on Friday night. Looking forward to making The Gov our new local as we live in Waterloo Road ourselves.

the service was incredible, all staff were so lovely and very friendly and the food was delicious! Only wish they had more parking and it’s easy to get to via train, I’ll definitely be back!

Toilet rolls needed to be replaced in toilets more frequently rather than leaving it on top on toilet . Lighting was a bit to bright everywhere, would be nice if a little more warmly lit in places . Apart from that great food and excelent services .

Loved it. Keen to see how the rooftop bar will be when it opens. Food was good but on the pricey side. Plenty of room to move around, especially outside

The entire venue isn't open yet and there are still a high number of contractors on site. Looking forward to the rooftop bar opening for spring / summer.

Great atmosphere with a wide cross section of people in attendance from singles catching up to families celebrating. Food was excellent and there was ample parking.

Nice interior and good menu although not extensive (drinks menu much longer!) and no kids’ menu despite several kids there. I think it will become very popular.

very beautiful space, enjoyed the food and ambiance. Really nice styling of the venue. would definitely go again for either a lunch or dinner. We went with another couple and they also enjoyed it.

Amazingly stylish place, food was good and drinks were reasonably selected placed. The place was brimming with music and people. A live dj was there on a friday playing cool tunes. Only thing was we were placed near the high chairs near the bar and they weren't the best for seating for a long time as they had no foot rest for short people. Overall good first experience.

Great venue! Food was lovely, some drinks a little pricey for the area but all in all its great to have a trendy bar to finally go to in the area! It's well overdue for the Ryde area. Big thumbs up!!!

Good food and atmosphere. Wait staff were lovely and helpful. The space looks lovely.grt the fried chicken, it's gooooood. Very limited on site parking though, and surround streets are metered.

Great new addition to the area and staff really went above and beyond to make it a personable dining experience. The manager on Sunday was attentive & accomodating & made sure we were looked after along with the team

Lovely warm welcome from the gentlemen at the front door, especially "The Governor" who made our wee girl feel special. However there is no children's menu. Different prices for V and M on the menu and no footnote to say what that meant (V = visitor, M = member). This was irrelevant as there are no memberships available yet but we were still charged Visitor (extra cost) prices. The food was nice but pricey for what we ate - a cheeseburger, schnitzel and poke bowl for $72. Decor is nice and I'm sure the garden area will be nice in the summer. Nice to have somewhere new but won't be rushing back unless adults only.

Amazing atmosphere with fabulous cocktails - very unique and stylish venue! Everything is drawn to The Governor - style, colour and especially love the private areas to sit in.

A little expensive but otherwise lovely! Food was tasty, bathrooms very fancy. Cocktail list was extensive although the one we wanted they didn't have the ingredients for but the one we had was good

Great brand new location! MUST GO TO! Really good food, different entertainment areas inside and outside. Friendly staff, and although only opened the day before already well organized!

Great service, Food was beautiful and cooked to perfection, service was on point. The staff were friendly and welcoming. venue over all looked amazing and would highly recommend the visit. definitely will be back.
