Wonderful food wonderful service so glad i stumbled onto this Restaurant

you see, we are from Argentina and in South America we love the good times, good atmosphere and good food so Thaleia was the best!!!

Have been coming here for years and after tonight I won’t be coming back! We had to add another table to our booking and the man that seemed like the boss was not to happy about having to add another table he even said his tables were already all organised to plan. For main I ordered salt and pepper prawns and some prawn dish came out with a red sauce and I said to the waiter I did not order that, she took it back to the kitchen and then the boss came out and said that I did order it.. obviously I didn’t as I did not even know what the dish was called so there was a definite miscommunication and instead of him apologising he stood there looking at me with the dish in front of everyone so I said ok just leave it and I’ll try it. I did not like the dish which he could clearly tell as I had one bite and left the rest. Everyone else at the table enjoyed there food as they got what they ordered. My partner also found a bug in his food but by that point I was over the whole experience and could not be bothered to bring that up with the boss as I was sick of his attitude he gave me the whole night.

The food was very disappointing and the amounts for the banquet didn’t match what was advertised. We ordered for 5 ppl & got food enough for 2. The presentation was poor. I instantly felt it was a ripoff e.g. got a small bowl of chips for the 5 ppl and small dish of salad. The meat plate had a few skewers enough for 2 only. I felt embarrassed infront of my guests. We left the place hungry and upset.

Wonderful food, good price and and excellent quick friendly service. Try out this restaurant and experience the best.

Great food but they tried to fit as many people in on Saturday night which meant we were quite cramped. And barely any space to move while you ate. Other than that the food was great and the staff on point.

The BBQ octopus, salsa prawns, beef and slow-cooked lamb were absolutely delicious. Large helpings of home-cooked style Greek food.

Oh my god the food was delicious. The prices are a bit high but the food was so good. If you’re after a cheap meal this place isn’t for you. But if you’re after quality food that is nothing less than fireworks in your mouth than this place is for you. A bit disappointed it was my daughter‘s birthday and we didn’t get even a happy birthday from the staff I think the staff need to be a little bit more hospitable towards their customers . I am Greek and tried to speak Greek to one of the workers there and all he could do was smile which is making me think they weren’t Greek . Kind of disappointing because I’m second-generation Greek and hardly speak Greek myself but when trying to reach out to your roots and show your kids what it’s like it was kind of a let down .

Unfortunately, we were initially seated at the worst table in the restaurant, I would think this particular table should be left as a last resort for a walk in when the restaurant was full. We did ask if we could be moved and they did, but could tell that they were not happy. This is not the first time this has happened to me at Thalia

Staff were friendly, food was good, would like 2 see more prawns on the plate for what we paid, but otherwise thought the food was quite good

Terrible the restaurant has changed owners There were 2 waiters for a full restaurant impossible for them to look after customers in a timely manner. I requested a particular table which was given to someone else We waited 1/2 hour for someone to just come and take a drink order Waited 2 hours for our meal because they had the order wrong To the new owners all I can say icost cutting at the expense of your customers will send you down the gurgler within 6 months

Amazing food and great service. Easy booking and friendly, helpful staff. There was a great variety of food for everyone and all the dishes were fantastic.

We really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service here. We got a banquet platter for two which had plenty of food for two people and reasonably priced.

We had a variety of banquet menus which was great value. The food was great, the staff were very friendly and prompt service. Great atmosphere. Only downside was live music was a touch too loud which impeded conversation.

My husband and I have been there a couple of times and the staff are always attentive and friendly. The food is delicious and generous, we always leave feeling so full. Definitely would go again.

A lovely evening eating delicious Greek food. The service was amazing with friendly staff. We had the Greek salad, calamari, halumi and lamb/chicken souklavi plate. They were all amazing. Highly recommended. The restaurant can be a bit noisy with Greek band playing ( on the Saturday night) making conversation a little difficult.

Great food and great service. We realised when we got to the restaurant that we were going to be late for the movie session we had booked. We explained our dilemma and the staff made sure we got our food with time to spare. Will definitely book again and give ourselves plenty of time to savour the food and enjoy the atmosphere. I was definitely transported back to Greece for a short time.

Could not rate this restaurant high enough. Dinner with four adults and a child. Got the $49 banquet and slow cooked lamb. Amazing food and fantastic service. We will definitely be back.

The food is fresh and delicious，the quality of dishs are nice, the service is very good. My family always enjoy everything in this restaurant. Thaleia Greek Taverna is my favorite restaurant.

Excellent Greek food. Excellent quantity of food at a very good price. Excellent service. The only down side is the busy traffic on the King George's Rd. Otherwise, this restaurant is a must.

Great food great service , great little restaurant. Traditional greek food with a modern twist. Would definitely attend again. The skordalia is a must as is the grilled octopus and the slow cooked lamb.

Food was very good. Affordable and the service was good. We recommend the special banquets. It was quite noisy right on the very busy King Georges Road though.

Amazing food, and very good service! Simple home cooked meals. Highly recommended if you enjoy Greek food. It would have been nice if they had their own parking space for their customer.

Banquets we're great. The flavours were amazing and the atmosphere there was enjoyable. The meats were slightly overcooked and hence a bit dry, however that is not always the case (I have been there before and the meat was cooked perfectly).
