It was my birthday. I was surprised when I received an ice cream dish with members of your staff singing happy birthday to me. In the past, I would either bring a cake or say I will take the cake home with me. Have you always given a free ice cream dish to the birthday customer if they had not brought in a cake?

This was an excellent evening the food was tasty, delicious and the sea food cooked perfectly. Service was great attentive but not overbearing. A great dinning experience.

Best Thai food and service in Sydney - no doubt

Great as usual. Tip: Food comes out quick so if you would make it a bit of a dinner and stay for longer I recommend taking your time ordering, drinks first etc because food literally arrives 5 mins after ordering it

Staff and food were excellent. One of our favourite places to eat in Newtown.

Massaman lamb was too dry even with curry this time. Otherwise all good.

Great good and service. Very noisy restaurant though that makes it hard to have a conversation with your fellow diners.

Extremely good service, waiters well attentive to customers, busy restaurant & amazingly no waiting time between dishes. Wide variety of dishes, nicely presented & tasty. Received a complimentary dessert for all my guests on my birthday, was surprised with a cheerful happy birthday song from all waiters, pictures, a couple of gift vouchers & a gift from Thai Pothong. I could not have expected any better. All my guests were impressed. A place to eat again. Thanks to all Thai Pothong staff.

It was a small birthday and they do the best, the staff sing to you as they present a desert. There was about 6 birthdays so it clearly the place to be.

We have been going for over a decade and this is like a local spot for us. We love it & are surprised by how it actually gets better over the years! Best service in Sydney for any restaurant that I’ve know. We had a birthday over the weekend & the present was even more beautiful this year, thank you! The free photos they send you, friendly, positive staff and new dining area downstairs were all amazing :) Definitely recommend this is the best Thai food experience in Sydney.
