Banquet was fabulous. Beef was crispy and vegetables lovely and crunchy. Service impeccable.10/10
Very helpful and attentive staff. Delicious food and excellent wines
Excellent food as always. Prawns and duck were fresh, with tastey rice.
Some may find the restaurant's practice of serving individual portions of shared dishes to each diner unusual, but I imagine that's how the Emperors were served in ancient China. Certainly having all of the lobster meat served without any shell, including the leg meat, made eating easy, although I suspect that the extra labour involved might have inflated the price somewhat and, of course, without any shell the dish looks small, but it was an excellent eating experience!
The fluffy omelette with lobster meat is my favourite . The staff are so friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Great had a great time good food would like to go again
The banquet was delicious. Lots of food but all too delicious to say no to! They were very accommodating about our need to be out by a certain time. Great food and great service.
Food is amazing. Best tucked away hidden treasure! Highly recommend
The food was fantastic especially the stuffed Garfish and the Peking duck. Service was prompt ( not much personality) and the price reasonable. We will certainly be back.
Ready good food with fresh ingredients, great flavours and attentive service.
Great food and friendly service, a favourite place to go.
Excellent food, great service, well worth the visit. Will dine here again.
The food is always good, but the service is lacking. Greeted at the door by a seemingly annoyed female staff member. Seated and provided with tea. The gentleman who served me wasn't necessarily rude, he just wasn't anything. When asked for wine he practically raised his eyebrows like I asked for a unicorn. Food arrived with same level of disinterest and coldness. It's a shame because their food is great and the maitre'd has always been very polite (mostly to men). Paying the final bill was done at reception by same annoyed and disinterested female staff. Probably my last visit, and can't recommend anymore.
Excellent food and wines. Service first class. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The atmosphere good in that we were not distracted by noise and we could chat easily .
My very good friend and I had a lovely dinner at the Tea House. Apart from the food being spectacular, the service was next to none. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Booking was very easy and on arrival we received Very good service and really great food. Would highly recommend. Also a very relaxing environment. Staff were very intentitive and couldn’t have done any more for us !!! Kids loved the desert........
A lovely evening excellent service and great food highly recommend. Menu has everything you could want from a Chinese restaurant. Dumplings were a favourite as well as the san Choi boy.
This restaurant is always reliable. The Cantonese cuisine is excellent and the service is impeccable. The tables are not too close to each other. Some of the dishes on offer are particularly special such as the fluffy lobster omelet, quail san choi bow and the stuffed garfish. The Peking duck is delicious and meaty, not greasy like some other places. Prices are reasonable. Amongst our group of five we had a celiac person and there was no difficulty in catering for her.
It was the first time we had eaten here and I must say the food is amazing We will definitely be back the food is very fresh and the staff and very friendly and helpful
This is our favourite restaurant in Melbourne. Not overpriced. Excellent service. Meals are delivered super quick even when it's busy and the food is absolutely DELICIOUS. Looking forward to our next visit.
Lovely meal but very disappointed with staff when attending our bill. Declining giving a tip was met with our card and receipt being thrown our way and refusal to say goodbye.
Great food great service . Thank you Would defenitly return to this place the food was amazing easy to book online once again thank you.
The food was 10/10 The service good but could follow up with drinks better.. ie I said I didn’t want an alcoholic drink upon arrival so they assumed I didn’t want one all evening and never came back to me .. yes I could have asked but a good waiter would follow up
Was wonderful thank you carnt wait to Get back there for my sons birthday later on in the year and for my daughters birthday excellent 👏🥂✌️
Went there for Lunar New Year, Dancing Lion was very impressive as was the Lobster Omelette and Peking Duck. Our host was very attententive! Will be back soon!
The Tea House is one of my favourite restaurants. The food was excellent. It is not cheap, but not very expensive either. The stuffed Garfish was delicate and tasty. The fluffy lobster omelette delicate but flavoursome. Peking duck was both beautifully meaty, cooked to perfection with magnificently crisp skin. The crispy skin chicken was all beautiful plump and tender meat. There were many choices of wine by the glass. We were early as we had a five year old to get home but, even so, I was surprised that on a Friday night there were so few diners there. All those people who join the latest craze to queue in the street for Ramen or Singapore "street food" should try a real dining experience!
It was a really nice restaurant and the food was great. Didn’t totally “wow” me, but was a solid meal and the staff were professional!
The food was so good but we found the staff were rude and unwelcoming. Such a shame because the food and wine were amazing and reasonably priced.
Lovely service, fresh food, decent prices. We were expecting Yum Cha so we were a little disappointed that they didn't offer this service. They made up for this by providing our own version.
I have been going to the TH for many many years. The food and the service is still great after all those years. The wine list is good and the menu excellent
Fantastic restaurant off a quiet little lane in China town.Food was very authentic and the staff very professional, will definitely be revisiting.Try the fluffy lobster omelette just delicious.
The food was delicious and the staff were attentive without being annoying. We went after reading a positive cantonese duck review, and the duck truly was magnificent but so were the dumplings, spring rolls, steamed rice roll, chicken ribs and the stuffed garfish. We will definitely be going back!
Easy to book, very clean, magnificent food, good selection of quality wines, impeccable service from all staff from the welcome through to the food and wine waiters
We were a group of 7 and the service was very efficient and the food delicious. I would Highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy Asian cuisine.
The restaurant and food was great however they had no record of our booking. Luckily there was enough room given it was lunch to accommodate us.
The Staff were friendly, service was fantastic, very enjoyable night. Could not fault the night at all. We were celebrating our wedding Anniversary and my Birthday.
Food was excellent, particularly crispy skin duck and ginger and spring onion prawns. Everything about restaurant top notch. Will certainly be returning in the near future.
All the staff at the restaurant are very nice and accommodating. The food tastes absolutely fantastic and the portion sizes of each meal are so big.
