Taxiboat offers a fantastic dining experience! The menu offers a variety of excellent meals, the wine list really good wines and the service with friendly, professional waitresses outstanding. I have dined there once a week for the past three weeks and will go again Doreen

I have never experienced more atrocious customer service than at this establishment. Tonight my three friends and I dined here, with three of us consuming one glass of wine each with our meals. It was a busy Friday night. The waiter came up to us during our meal and told us that we were being too loud. We felt quite uncomfortable and finished our mediocre meals as quickly as possible. When paying the $160 bill, I politely stated that I found it quite odd that we were told we were loud, as we were regular customers and that it wasn’t a wild night (two of us were going home to young babies). I said that after our experience, we would not be customers in the future and would write a review. Upon leaving the counter, the waitress chased me back to the table. I said, ‘It’s ok, we’re leaving’, to which the waitress irately stated that she remembered us from previous visits and that it was our problem that we didn’t want feedback. I find it amusing that the wait staff would chase down paying customers and become angry that the customers wouldn’t take on ‘feedback’. My three feiends and I have been dining out together for over 20 years and have never been told we were too loud before. There are plenty of average Thai restaurants in Northcote. This will be the last time I ever frequent Taxiboat.

Great food ,value for money and will go again. Perfect spot post cinema and great ice cream next door . As a local it’s a easy choice no disappointment

Great variety of food, very tasty and inexpensive ,excellent attentive service ..clean place, highly recommended. Dishes looked and tested very good. presentation outstanding. Well balanced

The food was very tasty however I felt the duck dish we ordered was light on in the amount of duck we got. The rockling was highlight for me. The service was good with the staff being very friendly. Will return again.

One dish we chose was really enjoyable but the other was very ordinary. Tables are very close together. Staff very attentive. Have been here a few times

Cosy space, some booths. Lots of variety on menu - all we ordered was delicious, in particular, the Mongolian Lamb Ribs. Only negative- a little too noisy for conversation.

Beautiful tasty dishes in both entree and mains. Fish in teriyaki was moist and spicy. My wife and sister and I enjoyed the informal but attentive service.

Excellent service and delicious food. We couldnt have asked for better hosts. The appetiser and mains at $25.80 were very good value. The mains of Calamari and the Pad Thai were delicious. Thank you Kim for your excellent company.

Great food and lovely service. The green curry is always a fav. Also really enjoyed the curry puffs and the spring rolls. Nice wine by the glass too.

Had a great evening with great food and a very good service staff. Food was tasty with delicate flavours, with indivdual dishes being fresh and enjoyed by all. Would have no hesitation in returning to try other dishes. Highly recommend.

Food was nice, but service was really slow. Had to gain attention of waitress to place order, get water, but in saying that, they were friendly.

the menue stated which dish was gluten free. Being Coeliac I understand what gluten is and the ingredients used in dishes that are gluten free and those that aren’t. This is an important factor for me. The waitress had no idea what gluten meant and stated that two of the dishes on the menue even though they were marked gluten free were not. This concerned me because it can me detrimental to a persons health. I asked her if she understood what gluten was and she had no idea. I had to explain it to her. I think you should educate your staff about allergies to make it safe.

Taxiboat was a great experience, the food was lovely and our servers were extremely helpful. I would definitely go back for a meal again sometime.

The service first of all was incredible, very attentive staff. The food though, could not fault it. All really fresh and super delicious. The curry puffs were probably the best i have ever eaten! Will definately be going back again.

Did not end up going, got there with a few bottles of wine only to learn that they don’t have BYO anymore. A little disappointing, that’s one of the things that made this place ideal with a group of friend! Went somewhere else instead.

The food is reasonable but not very exciting. It’s convenient to the Westgarth which is why we went but I wouldn’t go back just for the food.

The food is terrific - full of flavours and always consistently high quality. The venue is relaxed but a real buzz from the clientele. Only way to improve would be to allow BYO wine, which is the most expensive part of the meal.

Very good food (reasonable prices)and a well thought-out wine selection (not super cheap). Good atmosphere and perfect decor for sub-white tablecloth dining. Some good FOH staff make this a really positive experience.

A great experience with attentive waiting staff. Best of all the food is fantastic and plenty of choice. Best asian food ever. Try the dumplings or duck or calamari. Our second visit and we will be back.

great food, well priced for the quality. dim sum was excellent. very convenient location for those who want a quick quality meal before going to Palace westgarth acroos the road also great for a longer night out dining experience

Our evening here was full of delicious food. We were welcomed and served by griendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is aesthetically lovely, and the general vibe is very welcoming.

The noise level made conversation somewhat of a strain, made worse by being on a small table sandwiched between two larger tables

The food was excellent, my Rockling and Sake sauce on a Bok Choy bas was to die for. The wine was very reasonable which is always a lovely surprise for fully licenced restaurants. And the waiter who attended to us all night was an absolutely delightful professional (happy, friendly, not pushy but attentive). What more could eight people want for a birthday dinner?

This was our second time and it was a better than the first. The food is still amazing and the service fantastic! The staff are very friendly and attentive. Only negative it’s not byo wine.

Excellent food, wine, service and atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and welcoming the food is tasty fresh and great value for money and the atmosphere is cosy intimate and perfect for special occasions. Every dining experience I’ve had there has been a special occasion!

The food was amazing but waited forever for it! I think they take way too many Uber Eats orders and the kitchen can’t cope and drivers are coming and going in the restaurant all night and in the meantime all the diners are waiting for their meals!!

Tasty food and good attentive service. Not over priced by Melbourne standards. It's a little bit cramped in terms of space, but on the plus side, it means that the wait staff are attentive but don't have to hover.

Exceptional food and decent wine list. Very busy at 7pm. If you want a more intimate experience, go for 8pm. Friendly attentive staff. One more thing....toilets were very clean.

This is a great restaurant with excellent food and flavours the service was very good. The wine list is limited but has some excellent choices I think BYO would be ideal for them.

Fantastic Food and service. Warm welcoming ambience. We will be back. My local Thai restaurant has paled into insignificance & I probably won't ever go any where else locally except to Taxiboat.
