Great food and brought us home to Malaysia. We ordered nasi lemak and mee goreng mamak. It was authentic and full of flavour. The Ipoh hoe fun was great too. Cheers!

During our stay the food was good and the service was fast and efficient. The servings were very large and it is a good place for lunch. I would recommend that you book a table over the weekend as when we arrived our table was waiting but others in front of us who just walked in were told that they were fully booked and that they would have to wait.

Food was so delicious and generous portions. Staff were friendly and lovely. Prices are good, less than you'd expect at a venue that is presented this well and menunis fun and cleverly designed. Will definitely be back!

Dishes were toward the overly sweet or salty side. Nevertheless not too bad. The owner is personable so that's a plus. Nice atmosphere with nice crockeries etc

Service is speedy and perhaps this is the organising principle of this restaurant. Portion size is generous and the price not unreasonable. The food is not particularly tasty and seems pre-cooked and less than sparkling.

I grew up till my teens in Malaysia, eating a lot of the dishes that Sedap Place sell. I tried their Nasi Lemak, Roti Telur Bawang and Teh Tarik. I found that whatever flavour was present wasn't what I remembered from my time in Malaysia. In fact, most of the dishes, including curries and dhal were flavourless. The exceptions were the rendang (which though flavourful, was not the traditional "dry" style), roti (freshly made, which is rare to find in Perth) and fried chicken. Even the teh tarik wasn't the right flavour - and was rather bland. The service was good and portion sizes were large (too large - I'd prefer smaller servings with lower prices).

Very impressed. Food was amazing and the service was very attentive. Only down side was how close the tables were initially but they fixed it as soon as possible. Will be back again very soon.

Food is good, but we were led to a table where I was constantly bumped into by wait staff passing by. Immediatly after sitting down for a 6.15pm booking, we were asked "did we think we could leave by 7pm?" so that they could confirm another booking. I didn't like having to decide this, we still hadn't placed our order and wanted to relax not hurry. However, we felt obliged to leave earlier than I would have liked, despite the cramped table for two. When the meal arrived, I asked for a small saucer of kecap manis. The waiter didn't know what this was, went to check in the kitchen and came back with soy sauce. When I said this was not kecap manis, he returned to the kitchen and then came back to tell me they didn't have any kecap manis. A Malay/Indonesian restaurant without kecap manis? Staff were friendly but we didn't like the hustle or cramped table. Can do better!!!

Excellent food (traditional laksa, Ipoh Kueh Teow and iced Milo), great, friendly and quick service. Nice surrounds although my table was a bit too near the one next to it. Well worth visiting.

Nasi Lemak overall need lots of improvement. Presentation is too 'busy...' focus more on taste than looks. Teh Tarik was good. Ambience and service perfect.

Food was great but too spicy. Should give a choice of having mild rather than having everything extra spicy. Interested to try their huge milk tea tho.

Service is ok. But even though you book reservation on a weekend , you may have to wait extra 15-20mins till table is clear. My Nasi rendang special wasn't bad but I thought it had three spoons instead two spoons sides. Rendang had nice flavour. My friends kuay teow look ok, just needs cut chill on the side. Look forward in trying other dishes. Not bad for a Malay restaurant. So far taste is better than makan makan .

The plus - generous portion size, great place for family dining or big group of friends. The let down - the food was average (coconut rice was not that fragrant, the curry fry chicken tasted More like cumin fry chicken), in terms of cost it's the pricier end of Malaysian Chinese food in Perth.

Restaurant has a nice ambience, food is tasty and presentation is appealing. Only negative is the place is not big enough to accommodate big groups at once and must always book in advance as it is almost always full - not a total deal breaker though.

Nasi lemak was OK, fried chicken was not good, cold, and didn't look anything like the picture in the menu. The curry chicken was better. Used cheap imported prawns in the har mee, will no be going back.
