Authentic Malaysian food that is prepared and served by authentic Malaysians. Love the food here - try any of the noodle soups if the weather is a bit colder. If not, try everything else!

i have to say this is the best restaurant in Perth by far that comes closest to the taste back home in Malaysia. Truly authentic! This will be my new place to have any fix for Malaysian cuisine. The only improvement is that it might be a bit of a wait for food (maybe them being new which can be resolved if they get more staff in). But trust me, the wait is worth it!

Went there and had Nasi Lemak beef rendang and char kuey teow. I can say that's as close as it can get to the penang ckt in Perth and the beef rendang is out of this world !! Also the teh tarik was so 'kau' and full of umphhh ... definitely my regular makan place from now on

Our second time back within the week to try other dishes. The prawn mee soup was delicious, the broth was tasty & portions generous. The curry laksa was good too except that they didn't have cockles.

Modern set up for Malaysian hawker food. The food came out quickly. The nasi lemak was a great shared dish. The teh tarik is delicious.

Over priced menu. The har mee prawn noodles had 3 slices fish cake, 4 small prawns and a boiled egg for $13.90. Likewise with curry mee and maggi goreng. We were in and out within 30 mins, a very unsatisfactory dinner. Paid $14.90 for steamed chicken with curry mee, it was just an over boiled, very dry drumstick that was cut into half placed on top the noodles.

Good food and quite busy... Best to book before going. Some of the items in the menu are not available yet so best to ask in doubt.

Excellent - great ambience and even better food. Would have given 6 but waitress forgot to bring water to the table. A bit cramped but otherwise near perfect. Best Malaysian food in Perth. Hope they will open a branch soon. Also hope they will start satay as well. Need to put menu prices on website

The shared nasi lemak platter with it's accompanied curries were great. Roti Canai was nicely charred but lacking in fluffiness. Reasonable pricing and great service made it a satisfying experience overall.

Great food, great prices! Busy night but we received our food quickly. Staff were polite, but it was busy so it took a little while to get their attention. Highly recommend!

The Malaysian cuisine was awesome. The egg & onion roti canai, traditional curry laksa, nasi lemak with beef rendang and hot Cham were very authentic and very nice.

Food was quick and delicious. Disappointing without sea cockles available but it was replaced with more prawns. Not suitable for 5 pple as they put a stool at the end of the table so it was not comfortable.

Having the Nasi Lemak Burger even if it was for a very short and limited period was a good move! Went with two friends hence got to try both versions of the burger - with chicken rendang & fried chicken. Both were equally good though I preferred the fried chicken of course.

Roti Telur was so good and so was the char kway teow. Also try the Kopi C - rich and frothy. A very authentic Malaysian flavour.

Best authentic Malaysian nasi lemak in Perth, hands down! Great ambience, not too expensive (compared to NLK). Many Malaysians agree the same. I will not be going to any other nasi lemak shop from now on :)

Ordered the mamak fried chicken, volcano laksa and both are good. The taste of the laksa is intense and flavoursome. The mamak fried chicken is tasteful too. Overall is good.

Great Malaysian selection and the service was impeccable. Me and my friends ordered the Chow Kuey Teow, Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang and Ipoh Ho Fund with Prawn Wanton. It was Excellent! Finished my meal with a "Teh Si" (Malaysian style Tea with evaporated milk ) without sugar

Pleasant wait staff and good food. The service was fast. The only discomfort I felt was the overall ambience rather dark and gloomy. The kuey teow soup is highly recommended.

Roti and fish curry sauce were lovely, the dhalcha not so much. The beef rendang was also pretty good, nice, thick, rich gravy... beef could have been cooked a little more to make it fall aparta bit more. My brother said his his nasi lemak was just ok. Service was fairly efficient and friendly. Overall would go back to try other dishes

We dined on Friday night, my second time at this place. The food was very nice and appreciate that the restaurant was busy but was disappointed that wait staff was clearing our table as soon as we finished eating. The feeling of being rush to vacate the table.

Service was good - friendly and fast. The shop is small and crowded though relatively well laid out. However, food wise - something seems to be lacking. Roti canai served with a rather 'sweet' dhall curry and oily red curry sauce. The laksa as palatable but mild and lack flavour. The ipoh hor fun was plain. The mamak noodles was probably the best of the 4 items we ordered.

Great service, volcanic laksa could of been spicier, ask for extra chilli if you like hot. Wonton soup a little bland could do with some extra flavour. Beef rendang, dish of the day, worth going back for!

the nasi lemak was a bit disappointing. We order the big one and the condiments lack lustre achar was dry and Sambal was very little. On the up side the fried kuey tuay was one of the best I've had for a long time.

It was our first visit at Sedap, all 5 of us loved it. Vegetarian options and true Malay flavours. The food, service and ambience all exceeded our expectations. The head lady waitress who served us was warm and welcoming. We ordered the nasi lemak to share, char koay teow (wok flavoured) and my favourite was the hot the tarik, rich strong tea not made from packaged 3 in 1. Will be back to try their 2 cylinder teh tarik good for 6-8 people $18.90. Wanted to order for the 4 of us but the waitress said we wont be able to sleep if we drank it all.
