food was great as usual, this is our go to jbbq

lovely food and staff. the food came out promptly. we enjoyed it.

everyone was complaining and ended up waiting 15 minutes for a platter just for them to get the order mixed up

Definitely the best bbq you can go too, food quality, freshness, taste, and overall service and quantity is by far the best bbq I’ve been too and I’ve tried out several over Sydney. I have come back to this place about 12 times and never have I wanted to return to any other one. I recommend this place to everyone and anyone who takes on my advice and visits this place is not disappointed. It ends up being one of their favourite places to eat at too. The selection is amazing there is something for everyone. The staff are quick and do what they have to do there’s no stuffing around. Sometimes there is about a 10 minute wait on rice but that’s standard u can’t rush a rice cooker 😂 but over all for price of what you get honestly you can’t ask for more it’s amazing. (Soft drinks are included in this one😱)

Had an unexpected extended wait time, however, we were a group of 11. They also provided us with reasonable redress upon the conclusion of the evening. It could at times be hard to get a waitress to place our orders with and the plates became progressively smaller as the evening went on. That all said, overall a pleasant enough dining experience and one that I am sure we will repeat at a late daet/time.

Good value for the price you pay here in Hurstville. In the city area, similar buffet would cost at least $100. But I’d say, quality of sashimi could improve.

This place is amazing! The quality is good for Wagyu beef and not too expensive. It’s definitely worth it visiting Rokko if you’re craving Yakiniku and in the area. Service is also 🙌🏼

Once again, Rokko did not disappoint! Tried a few things I’d never had before and was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend the AAALLLLL the wagyu options. I usually can’t stand the taste of kimchi but I couldn’t get enough of the kimchi here. Service, once again, top tier 👌🏼 Rokko has definitely fast become our favourite date night spot.

We went for the AYCE buffet - $79/adult .. absolutely worth every dollar. Huge variety of meats, seafood, veg and sides, sodas included, though limited to Coke/Zero, Lemonade and Lemon Lime and Bitters. The food quality was impeccable, the atmosphere was inviting, the staff were friendly but I do have to give a special mention to the guy who waited on us first. VERY friendly and helpful, gave us excellent recommendations as we were first timers and had no clue whatsoever lol - I can’t, for the life of me, remember his name but I believe he said he’s only been working there 3 months, had the most positive attitude, even when we were taking a little longer to order/eat than we would’ve liked. Would highly recommend going on a Monday night as it is fairly quiet and relaxed, service was quick and there was no wait time as it wasn’t too busy. Thank you, Rokko, for making our very first Japanese BBQ experience absolutely perfect. 10/10, highly recommend.

The service was bad, I asked for an extra bowl and the waiter didn't even give to me, and very impatient at the check because I couldn't open the dine voucher. The food wasn't that good either, the source for BBQ doesn't taste good.never go back again.

Good food but Place too cramped and noisy. Service not too good. Our entree came after we almost finished our meal so that's a bit disappointing.

Great local yakiniku - very authentic food. Warm and fun atmosphere. Great for groups.

it was great, my friends thoroughly enjoyed the experience, although they need to know how to give you change.

Restaurant staff don’t care for social distancing at all, we went at 5.40pm there was a good 15 tables empty and forced us to sit in between 2 other groups of 2 where I could easily extend my arm out and touch the person next to me. I complained and asked to be moved but they said ALL the other tables are booked and will be full including the huge area at the back with a good 10 tables. By the time we finished our meal the other 15 tables were still empty except for 2 so realistically they just don’t want us to sit at a slightly bigger space incase a bigger walk in group comes. They also never had any intention of opening the back area as it would mean more cleaning for them. All of this is understandable but not acceptable during covid. Local business and all and want to support them but they clearly don’t care about the health and well-being of their customers nor do they respect Government guidelines. I pointed that out to them and the waitress just shrugged, she could not care less. Upon paying the bill we were hit with a $2 surcharge for card payments, including EFTPOS. I told her this is not right and wanted to speak to the manager, she said we have no manager and again she could not care less. Then handed me a $20 voucher for next time, I said there won’t be a next time. Doesn’t matter if the food was good or not, bad service, disregard for social distancing and the sheer greed on the card payments is a huge turn off.
