Best duck ever! We ate so much, we nearly popped. Juicy & flavourful with the most perfect skin. We will most definitely return! Perfect with the Martinborough Pinot we BYO'd

I sense there has been a change in the chefs at Roast Duck Inn. Two of the dishes ordered were totally incorrect as they came out individually. My order of roast duck and rice appeared rather poor with soggy rice and near to meatless duck comprising of bones. Within eight hours I believe I came down with food poisoning. Enough said.

Dining later appears a better option and ordering your Roast Duck with rice is also a bonus compared with ordering it with noodle soup.

Delicious roast duck, barbecue pork, roast crackling pork, soy chicken plus more. Take away or eat in. Before you leave take home some frozen packets of dim sum of your favourite variety to snack on by just steaming them when required.

Dining later after 8pm proved to be a better option on Saturday evenings as most of the larger family tables had vacated from an earlier sitting. A delicious meal of steamed scallops with XO sauce and garlic with vermicelli, fried rice with shrimp and roast duck, followed by stuffed prawns with Japanese silken tofu and shiitake mushrooms were all mouth watering and satisfied two hungry diners.

Saturday nights attracts large tables of eight or more with tables of families or friends out for dinner. Advised to make reservations ahead of time. Busy with queues at the door.

Be adventurous and try the crocodile dish, fried taro duck and other special dishes that are posted on the wall with images of the dish rather than items on the printed menu.

Great food, we loved the eggplant. Plenty of people interested in a meal- but our group was well looked after. Best bit- roast duck or pork belly with your own wine.

Delicious as usual. Some may prefer the roast duck breast to the leg and thigh. The choice can be yours for an additional charge of $2.00. Alternatively, just take pot luck what the chef at the bbq kitchen serves up!

Two of us went there for lunch. Very unpretentious, very busy and very quick. A complimentary bowl of soup and Chinese tea (which was consistently refilled) landed on our table just after we were seated. The specialty and centrepiece is BBQ meats with the roast duck hanging in the window with the show being expertly sliced up before your eyes. We had a Combination BBQ Meat plate of roast duck, soy sauce chicken and crispy skin roast pork. Delicious and moist! We also had Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce and Chicken and Vegetable Fried Noodles. A bit over the top, but only cost $26 each. We booked but tables seemed to be turned over quickly and there didn't seem to be any waiting

Foods were delicious and portions generous. Only problem was the dishes were a little too salty. Due to its popularity, the space in the restaurant was rather crowded. By the way, the prices for the foods were very reasonable.
