Whats not to love. Thursday nights are locals and members nights - half priced food! And what delicious food it is. Definitely go for the Colonel's Fried Chicken. The Betel Leaf salad is also a must try - both the fish and the vegetarian ones are great. I prefer the veggie one as it is fresher.

This is one of my favourite places to have my birthday and celebrate with friends. The vibe is amazing, the food is delicious and the service beyond fantastic.

Nice place with a good atmosphere. But you have to wait a wile for the food to arrive and the music were a bit loud. Okay prices too. Overall a good restaurant

Such a fantastic option for dinner on Thursdays. Local's night means 50% off food. The perfect service combined with a brilliant dinner DJ makes this one of my favourite things to do on Thursday evening.

Food was excellent, but some items from our order were missed. It was super busy on a Thursday night and felt the service could have been better. But great atmosphere and tasty food! It’s my third time here!

Had a permanent booking every Thursday since 2012....it’s brilliant, always good, always delicious. If you haven’t been then you’re missing out, try the fat duck noodles, lamb curry, the fried chicken, the lamb cigars just try everything.

Great food. Chinese broccoli with pork belly was really good, and so was the popcorn chicken. My partner had the satay burger with roti, and loved it also.

Good food. Good table service. The music and environment can get a little loud, but it’s okay. Just don’t expect a quiet dining experience. Bangkok bolognese is a must-try!

Delicious food, accommodating my food preferences and allergies. I'm not a big drinker but I loved the Cocktails! Need to go back to try more of the menu! Very friendly and helpful staff!

Awesome venue and the food is to die for, highly recommended, Locals night just ices the cake. There are multiple venues up stairs if you want to stay after hours.

food is yum and service is very accomodating and friendly. our food was delayed but the staff made sure we were comfortable and did their best to get us fed as quickly ad possible.

Great food, really helpful staff and great atmosphere, was just a bit disappointed in the papaya salad. Would have been a perfect score apart from that.

The food was very good and service was attentive and friendly. However there was a smell of urine which prompted us to leave after one hour.

The food very disappointing. I've been to Colonel Tan's a few years ago and it was sensational. This time the meal was very bad. The service was really average as well. Don't know what happened to that place...

Love this place! We are regulars for Thursday locals nights. We love to take friends along too. Staff are usually great, we’ve had one disappointing experience but in about 20 visits that is not bad odds. Food is ALWAYS perfect.

Delicious food. Service was great but they did forget our dessert order. As other comments I’ve seen definitely worth going but don’t expect a completely flawless experience.

Always a great time at this venue. The Thai food is incredible. We nearly get the 5 spice friedchicken every time we come here. The new snapper mains are also very delicious. I prefer the Freid Snapper with BokChoy and Tamarind sauce. Cannot wait for the next time!

Service a little slow and waitress did forget some of the sides we ordered. However , great atmosphere and food was amazing so we didn’t mind.

ALWAYS the best food and atmosphere make sure you try the fat duck noodles & their fried chicken...there’s nothing I haven’t loved off their menu...so friggen delicious

Such an excellent time as always at Colonel Tans. The servers are so accomodating. There is great music and great food. With the local's special on Thursday, it is the perfect Thursday evening hang out.

Amazing cuisine yet again, hence why I continue to return. Staff are always pleasant considering the amount of customers flock to this exceptional restaurant. I haven't come across anyone that has been disappointed

This is the second time I’ve eaten at the colonels, easily one of the best Thai venues I’ve been. Recommended it to some friend and they loved it too. So good!

Very unique and different interesting Thai food and decor. Service was good and was a quiet night. Music was good. A little bit too much pepper in the duck.

Always a good time at Colonel Tans! I have a new favorite dish now, the snapper with greens. Cannot wait to come back to try the other snapper dish! The monthly specials (inspired by DJs) are also something to look forward to.

Colonel Tan never disappoints. We love the spicy Asian flavours. Consistently delicious. Lots of stairs to this hidden culinary treat, but well worth the climb.

Great food and atmosphere! Staff were friendly and professionally but definitely understaffed. Had to wait to be seated and served and even get some water for the table! Might be a one off but despite that I’d definitely go back.

After seeing this restaurant being reviewed on TV, I was excited to give this place a try as I love Thai food. Overall, it was a bad experience. We found the location smelly, old and dirty especially walking up a long staircase to get to the restaurant. Once we got to the top, we waited awhile to be seated as there was no one to greet us. We also had to get the attention of the waitress to order our food once the menu was given and suggestions made. When the food arrived, we felt it lacked the authentic flavours of Thai food. The lighting could have been better, we couldn’t see what we were eating, too dark ! For me, to make matters worst my favourite cocktail was also pretty ordinary ! An expensive night for our experience.

Love the place and the discount for locals is genius. It really gives a sense of belonging. Food always is good too. I return again and again. Very friendly.

Beautiful food and amazing arty flair But when you walk in they are not in a hurry to seat you and leave people standing around.Its a poor set up upon entry but a worthwhile visit.

I dine here every Thursday. Colonel Tan’s have a great service, amazing food and best fibes! It’s a local’s night every Thursday and you get good deals for being a resident of Prahran and Windsor.

Always an excellent feed and a great vibe. Easily one of my favourite venues to eat at on chapel street.

Always a pleasure coming here for dinner, especially on Thursdays. Fantastic service and very delicious food. The pork belly with red curry was exceptional tonight. We tried a the lamb cigars with avocado sauce - they were delicious.

This place is great! I always love coming here. Great music, great vibes, great food. The new Fried Snapper dish is my new favourite dish. Super delicious! Of course you must get the fried chicken and the snapper betel leaf salad. I am excited to return soon to try more of the new menu!

Too noisy, the entrance has a million stairs to climb - not good if you’re heavily pregnant, the place is stuffy and filthy. Pretty much killer my appetite and we left.
