A little quick taking away the starters, but the food was excellent - particularly the duck. Try to spend some time on the rooftop if you can!

Very friendly and prompt service. The food was tasty. The portions were generous. The atmosphere of the restaurant was comfortable, casual and lively but not loud. It was a nice experience.

Great service, nice decor, decent wine selection but average food - especially beef tartare and signature flank steak; slightly better for burrata & ham and truffle tagliatelle.

The restaurant itself is well fitted out and nicely styled on the 30th floor. Staff were somewhat attentive, but didn't really appreciate that we wanted to be left alone for a while to catch up after we'd ordered entree and revisited the table every 5 mins or so to check. Unfortunately once ordered, the mains (tasty and inventive pasta dishes, especially the liquid ravioli) were served a considerable time apart - about 20 mins between the first one and the last one (of four). No idea why this happened, and no excuses or follow up offered by the staff. This meant our party either had to share or were forced to eat at separate times. Perhaps the concept of sharing the larger mains as listed in the menu (as opposed to pasta dishes) had the staff a bit confused. No major issue for us as friends but could be awkward if a business oriented meal. Otherwise an overall pretty good experience.

Nice place, have a good bottle of Italian red wine but the pasta a little bit salty, the services are quite good too, will follow up the feedback with the customers at once.

Thought every dish was consistently executed. You could tell the ingredients used are of high quality and the hand made pastas were simply delicious! Would definitely go back.

Although we booked at least a month in advance, we were given a high table in the hot sun and told the restaurant was very busy. Luckily we managed to get a different table out of the sun and the food was great.

Great food! Particularly the buratta and parma ham, as well as steak. Service was a little slow as it was a busy Sunday night. Definitely will go back again.

Located the 30th floor of an office building that houses several other restaurants, Pirata is very intimate, cozy and serves authentic Italian food. Small bar and a dozen tables with great views. We had amazing mussels, octopus salad and bruschetta to start. Then roasted chicken served in a hot skillet with potatoes and veggies was over the top. Eggplant parmigiana was sinful. Well priced wine list and excellent service.

Moving from Tokyo where is a battle field of good restauratns, and being an Italian food lover (we spend summer in Italy every few years as we love the food so much!), it has been really difficult to find a GOOD Italian restaurant in Hong Kong. I have been to some well known pricy ones in HK but was not satisfied. Then I tried here, Pirata, for lunch and was really happy with the quality of the food. Cold cuts & salad buffet was delicious, pasta was done al dente, and especially the bread was awesome, crispy outside and soft & moist inside. I would definitely come back again! Thanks for the nice meal.

Great venue but the service a little disjointed. Had to ask for water, took ages for staff to take a drinks order, food took a while and we had to ask for condiments. Attention to detail not there - it was as if the staff were all young trainees. Even getting their attention to pay the bill was painful. The Italian sausage was good and the prawn risotto very tasty. Would go back but not for a while - staff need more training on observing customers and being attentive.

Great ambience, nice setting, particularly at the bar level. Food ok. Worth trying again But the rooftop setting and decoration it too simple, can't create a bar/clubbing area.

One of the best restaurants I have been to in Hong Kong. Superb! Great value, service, and atmosphere. The food was perfect. Lasagna is one of my absolute favorite meals and this was one of the most delicious I have had. I will certainly be going back to Pirata.

Nice decor, food were alright for that price tag. But boy their service was shit. Our booking was at 19h. While the whole night the host kept reminding we have to return the table before 21h30, it took them 30 min before their "manager" could came get our food order - apparently everyone on the floor was not allowed to do so. No one ever check on us. Truffle pasta was way over cooked. The butchers cut was served cold. I wish I could tell them but it is not like they'd care!

I went there for Brunch this time and discovered that it is a really great value for great food - the fettuccine with shaved black truffles was excellent! For only $298 at brunch, you really get a lot of food! This was my second time at Pirata and I will definitely be back!

Food was excellent. We went on a Sunday lunch so it was buffet style. I don't like "buffets" as I tend to overeat and can't really enjoy the food. Nevertheless, appetizer (asparagus flan, cheese mozzarella sandwich) was excellent. Cold cuts, pasta and salad served at the open table was fresh and delicious. I ordered beef steak for main dish. It was alright but I was 85% full by the time it was served that I couldn't enjoy the food properly. Dessert was amazing however. Too full to even remember the names of the dessert unfortunately. I have to mention that the manager, a mandarin speaking Spanish, was extremely friendly. He made sure everything was well taken cared of and the experience was a memorable one.

Great place, love the vibe and the food (especially love the purple gnocci). Only downer was finding a couple of short curly hairs in my dessert... that was disgusting. Glad it came at the end or it would have ruined the experience. Would come back but will probably skip dessert in future!

Gathering friendly place, the food and cocktail are pretty good for the price. The only problem is there need to hire more serving staff as is hard to find some waiter/ waitress to ask for refills or order extra things without waiting for quite some time.
