Half the dishes were cold or didn’t feel authentic, wouldn’t go Pakenham location again. It feels like a robbery, not being able to complain without coming across like a difficult consumer so I’m glad I’m able give feedback through this survey. 3.5/10 - Food 5.5/10 - Service

Had dinner at Okami pakenham, 11 adults, one child, the night was ok till the end, they kept bringing food to the table we didn't want and as you have to pay extra if it is waste we did not want the food. Getting the bill was the shock, not easy to understand and charged an extra $150.00. Added stress to an otherwise good night, lesson, check your bill. Another note, they do not split bills.

Restaurant was pretty full and our table was just inside the entrance with the doors open the whole time - it was loud and quite cold. We did ask to move and the staff were polite and checked but said we couldn’t move. I will specifically request a booth seat next time, I think.

Service is always terrible. We always wait too long for wine glasses & to order food.

Got seated and a few minutes the waitress took our order, we did order a few meat and seafood plates with one steam veges and 7 steam rice so we can have the meat with and there were 7of us, we got our order in 10minutes or less, and then the rest of the order we got it with 20 minutes but still waiting for the 7 steam rice. At this stage I asked the same waitress for our steam rice as we needed to have the meat with but some of the meat/fish we ordered were already eaten as the kids were hungry. She didn’t say why there was a delay but said that she’ll get them, at this same time I ordered more meat/fish plates but at almost 9pm we got our 7 steam rice, and the steam rice was the first one we ordered but it was the last we got after making multiple orders of meat and other plates apart from the dessert . At that time everyone was full of the main and ready for the dessert except for my husband. So when we ordered dessert we also ordered two more plates to eat the rice with and my husband was trying to finish because he didn’t want to waste them, and when we got the 7 steam rice I returned the other 3 and keep only 4. It was very disappointing to discover that we had to wait for over an hour for the rice. And when I revealed my disappointment to the waitress about the long wait for the rice, we waited for so long to come back to us so we can order our dessert and the two plates to eat the steam rice with but instead a different waitress came. We never had an issue with the Narre Warren Okami but we chose the Pakenham because it’s closer to us. Very disappointed with the service….waitress that looked after us on the night is the one with blue dye on the hair.

We had a lovely time, the only thing that I would change is the cost for children to eat at the restaurant. There’s no way a 4-6 year old can eat $20 worth of food. Even if that was half price. I think that’s way too high. I don’t even have little children but that too much.

Your service is usually really good however this time we had to wait 20 minutes before placing our first order, and whilst the venue was still busy the food being served was cold.

To be honest,Food taste not really good. Fried veggie taste nothing, Tofu came without sauce.beef was over cooked not tender and soft … both us wasn’t enjoy the food.

Great evening, lots of food coming out and we had a big table of 14. They seemed to cope with the continuous stream of people coming in as well. Great night

Very enjoyable, but the air conditioner was on a little to much.

Long waiting times for dishes to come out, then hot dishes were cold. Drinks were forgotten. Dishes came out randomly, not starters then mains etc. Service was terrible! Would not go back or recommend!

Nice food. Icecream a bit of a surprise in Dixie cups. Black sesame icecream nice. Plum wine sweet but that's what I like. Service a little slow given the place wasn't packed.

We had a great lunch and the foods are delicious

Food was amazing, we will be back. Was a little hard to get the attention of someone to take out orders at the start but fine after that.

My only criticism is not being able to split the bill. I can see why there is any difference using two debit cards. Or as we had to do use half cash and half card. Please explain as it is very annoying. Regards

Excellent level of food and service. Alert and friendly service team. Walk in? Service staff advised us to wait until booked in guest had arrived and we were allowed to get in next.

Poor customer service. Had to go to the receptionist to order as they didn’t come to the table.

Extremely slow and very poor customer service, multiple times asked for service and walked off on. Took ages to get food out or even take an order. Had to ask for plates to be cleared as they were left to stack up. This restaurant needs some help ASAP

Meal was ok, we ordered miseo soup at the start & received it near the end of our meal, some dishes were cold. Not the best meal we have had & yet we have dined there a lot. Maybe the chef has changed.

Was amazingly delicious food, would 100% definitely come back often

We have been to Okami Pakenham many times, we have always been so positive about going here and always recommend. We invited our parents as they’d never tried it before…. I feel embarrassed they had to pay for such a disappointing dinner. Arrived at 5:30 drinks and food ordered. Two drinks took 15 minutes. First lot of food came half an hour later; half what we ordered never arrived. Re-ordered missing items, and double of the next lot. An hour and half later we still didn’t have 1/3 of what we ordered. Rice was cold and hard, octopus balls cold and small. Beef was tough and cold with hardly any seasoning. Service was terrible; no one apologised for long wait, at one stage we had been waiting 30mins for food. Tables around us who ordered after us getting served first. Obviously feedback is falling on deaf ears because same feedback has been left but no improvement made. Won’t be returning to this Okami ever again.

The food was fantastic but the service was very slow. A annoying part was not being able to pay 50 / 50 of the bill total with the couple that we had the meal with. It would have been more helpfull if we could have paid half half

The service and the food was amazing. Dishes came out really quickly. The only thing is for a child, probably a bit expensive as they really don't each much, but in perspective the adult meals were reasonably priced being all you can eat.
