OKAMI Pakenham

The standard of food has definitely dropped since our last visit 12 months ago. Dishes are now half the size & less quality, which is disappointing so probably won’t be back. Now over priced given the quality

It would have been nice to have steamed rice served with main meals, the same with the fried rice. The staff are very good, just how the meals were served was very average.

Good service and fast friendly staff and well trained 👍

Great value! Though make sure you order big in the beginning as portions are small and takes a while in between orders to get more food!

The service was super slow, the food was slow, the drinks were super slow. Food was okay, in my opinion not as good as it used to be.

Service was amazing, they were busy but kept up with all tables waiting. Polite, friendly, clean and the best part, amazing food!

Very disappointing. Went here with family for my birthday dinner, we were the first table to be seated and the last to be approached for ordering. Waited over half an hour to order food and drinks, and then waited almost another half hour for drinks to arrive. Food took a really long time then only received tiny portions, not enough for the table. Most staff were grumpy, one to the extent of being rude. We were presented with the bill before dessert finally arrived...which again, took almost half an hour even though they were pre-packaged ice cream servings! Don't advertise as 'all you can eat' for 2 hour timed sessions where it's almost impossible to order, and then hardly any food arrives... We won't be back.

Amazing is all I can say. Accommodating those who can't eat the buffet, options are available. Food is amazing!

Great food, maybe a little under staffed though and a few things didn't come out to the table and we needed to reorder them, but overall the food really made up for it.

Food was absolutely amazing. Service was excellent but the food coming out was a little bit slow to start with but they were very busy. Overall a really good night. I would recommend you go and taste some amazing dishes.

Half the dishes were cold or didn’t feel authentic, wouldn’t go Pakenham location again. It feels like a robbery, not being able to complain without coming across like a difficult consumer so I’m glad I’m able give feedback through this survey. 3.5/10 - Food 5.5/10 - Service

Had dinner at Okami pakenham, 11 adults, one child, the night was ok till the end, they kept bringing food to the table we didn't want and as you have to pay extra if it is waste we did not want the food. Getting the bill was the shock, not easy to understand and charged an extra $150.00. Added stress to an otherwise good night, lesson, check your bill. Another note, they do not split bills.

Restaurant was pretty full and our table was just inside the entrance with the doors open the whole time - it was loud and quite cold. We did ask to move and the staff were polite and checked but said we couldn’t move. I will specifically request a booth seat next time, I think.

Service is always terrible. We always wait too long for wine glasses & to order food.

Got seated and a few minutes the waitress took our order, we did order a few meat and seafood plates with one steam veges and 7 steam rice so we can have the meat with and there were 7of us, we got our order in 10minutes or less, and then the rest of the order we got it with 20 minutes but still waiting for the 7 steam rice. At this stage I asked the same waitress for our steam rice as we needed to have the meat with but some of the meat/fish we ordered were already eaten as the kids were hungry. She didn’t say why there was a delay but said that she’ll get them, at this same time I ordered more meat/fish plates but at almost 9pm we got our 7 steam rice, and the steam rice was the first one we ordered but it was the last we got after making multiple orders of meat and other plates apart from the dessert . At that time everyone was full of the main and ready for the dessert except for my husband. So when we ordered dessert we also ordered two more plates to eat the rice with and my husband was trying to finish because he didn’t want to waste them, and when we got the 7 steam rice I returned the other 3 and keep only 4. It was very disappointing to discover that we had to wait for over an hour for the rice. And when I revealed my disappointment to the waitress about the long wait for the rice, we waited for so long to come back to us so we can order our dessert and the two plates to eat the steam rice with but instead a different waitress came. We never had an issue with the Narre Warren Okami but we chose the Pakenham because it’s closer to us. Very disappointed with the service….waitress that looked after us on the night is the one with blue dye on the hair.

We had a lovely time, the only thing that I would change is the cost for children to eat at the restaurant. There’s no way a 4-6 year old can eat $20 worth of food. Even if that was half price. I think that’s way too high. I don’t even have little children but that too much.

Your service is usually really good however this time we had to wait 20 minutes before placing our first order, and whilst the venue was still busy the food being served was cold.

To be honest,Food taste not really good. Fried veggie taste nothing, Tofu came without sauce.beef was over cooked not tender and soft … both us wasn’t enjoy the food.

Very enjoyable, but the air conditioner was on a little to much.

Long waiting times for dishes to come out, then hot dishes were cold. Drinks were forgotten. Dishes came out randomly, not starters then mains etc. Service was terrible! Would not go back or recommend!

We loved it tonight and will definitely be back again
