OKAMI - Footscray

I have visited Okami for dinner at least 15 times. The first 8-10 visits were really nice and then things started to change. Food orders are always late and once they arrive they are nearly half the size, not energy staff for the amount of people in the restaurant. You do not always receive what you order and then when you complain and order again, the food ends up coming out whilst there telling you last orders. In spite of all this, I keep attending and inviting my family and friends because the quality of the food and the attitude of the staff are great.

It was very nice last night, better then usual. Food came out in dribs and drabs but was prompt enough and the service was great as usual.

As Usual the food is great, service of timing of food has dropped due to not enough staff. Loyalty points have never been used, I generally book tables of 8-10 people and then find out that I’m making a review for a table of 2 people that I supposedly booked. Didn’t ever only book a table for two people.

I was a little disappointed on that particular occasion as I ordered first and did not receive my food till 30min into the night, and then the food was coming out in limited servings.

Delayed food, long waiting time, but food is amazing !!

Food was great, especially the sushi. Tempura had a bit too much batter. Overall had a nice time.

Not the best experience here. We were pounced on as soon as we arrived to make an order. We all hadn’t visited before so this was a bit overwhelming. The food wasn’t that great. Most of it was bland. We did try 6 different dishes between us. Maybe we just got them on a bad night but I’m not sure I would go back.

Pleasant dining experience again as always. It was so jice to be able to eat out again and Okami Footscray did not dissapoint.

Always fresh tasty food, great friendly service, one of our favorite go to resturants, keep up the fantastic work.

It's always a pleasure to dine at Okami, this was the one place we craved most during restrictions. Okami have done a great job adapting to the easing restrictions with suitable spacing in place & hygiene measure adhered to. The staff (as always) were friendly & accommodating. We will be back for sure!

Food and service are both great and efficient. Sometimes orders are lost in the bustle of such a busy place but you are forgiving for the price of the experience and mistakes are always rectified quickly.

We weren’t blown away. Dishes didn’t arrive, sushi and sashimi pretty overage. No dish made me think “yum, that was great”.
