Okami - Albury

The 2 seat tables along the wall in the corner are too close to the next row of tables, it feels really cramped and the people sitting there pull their chair out onto you and are basically right on top of you. Also the waitresses can hardly stand in there to take your order and deliver your food. I understand trying to fit as many people in the place to get more paying customers in, there was a whole room next door not being used at all, so instead of cramping everyone in, give them a bit of space in between each other to want to come back again. I recommended the place and came in a big group another time and was not a great experience at all, so i am trying again with just 2 of us and asking not be placed near that big row in the corner, the last set of tables has nothing next to it so maybe that might feel more comfortable. But other than that, the service and food was amazing, fast and fresh.

The food is yummy, good value, and excellent service. We’ll be going back again.

Amazing service and amazing food! Within 5 minutes of being seated and we ordered and had our drinks and 2 entrees brought out to the table within another 5 minutes. Delicious food and well priced! My husband and I think we've found our new favourite restaurant!

Food was nice, when it finally arrived. The table in front of us were seated well after we arrived and consistently had dishes arriving whilst we sat for 20mins or more a few times waiting for our next dish. The main gripe was where we were seated, right next to the entrance door that smashed into the room divider spilling everything on our tiny table that was only cleared 3 times in 2hrs we were there... plus the fact I had to get up and constantly shut the thing to stop the cold coming in. Overall it wasnt really a birthday meal we will fondly remember because even though the food was quite good the service was lacking and the environment was less than acceptable.

We were really unimpressed with our visit, we hadn’t been before and told the waitress this, she didn’t explain anything just said you order but you agree to pay $10 surcharge if any left over food, we were like what ? She said $10 surcharge for left over 200g food, The coke was flat in all 4 of our drinks, the food was so basic and under dressed(not enough sauces) the sushi had slivers of salmon, the squid was so tough we couldn’t cut it let alone eat it, the Karage chicken was not tender. we told the waiter he just said so you want me to take it away ?? All in all it was hugely disappointing, we will not be recommending this place to anyone or returning, just not nice.

Very nice visit. Liked the food very much although a couple of dishes didn't arrive. However the food was still really good. Service was great by most of the staff. Overall really happy and will definitely be returning.

Eleven of our family celebrated my wife’s 75 birthday and from start to finish , the food was excellent and the service was the best , and to top it all of the price was very reasonable
