Great food for price point! Would definitely recommend the salads and curry. Service was very friendly, a little slow to take order and provide bill.
Really lovely dining space! The food was great, and the service was lovely too. Some things are Abit pricey, but most of the food was fairly priced for what you get.
Food is fresh and delicious, service also excellent. Have been back several times since finding this hidden gem. Bonus.. BYO, with a bottle shop across the road.
Good food and a great atmosphere. Location is also perfect as there is heaps of available parking for dinner! Do also try the Pandan Green Tea!
Good service and yummy food. Would definitely recommend. Easy for a casual dinner for 2 as well as a group of friends. Loads of good dishes easy to share.
Third time at Nguyen Brothers and each time the meal is just right. Last night had the Caramelised fish plus the eggplant and tofu stir-fry with rice. Sufficient bite to accompany the sweetness of the fish and the tofu was delicate and the eggplant creamy. Perfect for a quick meal on a public holiday night and great value for money.
Great atmosphere & vibe to the place. The service was prompt & attentive. Food was tasty & definitely recommend others to try this place out
We came to Nguyen Brothers for a meas with friends on a friday night. The food was great, good atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Good simple vietnamese food, fast service, nice venue, good for a casual night out with no fuss and not too expensive. Friendly staff and good menu.
Love this restaurant for casual dinning, the interior in really cute, the food is consistently tasty and it has BYO which is great being right beside dan Murphy
Great food and great value in a great and casual space with BYO. The service was very attentive too. Would definitely be going back soon.
The service was excellent, the room was not overly crowded for a Saturday night, and there's easy parking. The food was amazing and tasted really fresh!
Value for what you get. No frills service. Great sounding menu with some dishes meeting expectation and others falling below. Would come back if I was in the area again.
Food was a nice - a little bland - felt like it lacked something. Service was a bit slow for a lunch time. Would try it again though.
I came here a bit sceptical of the pho, but was pleasantly surprised. I got the wagyu pho, and the beef was perfect, also the broth and noodles, everything was well balanced and very good.
Great quality food and good menu. The pho soup is excellent, a real measure of good Vietnamese, and the salt and pepper squid is the best I have had.
Went with group of 10 friends for lunch. Food was very tasty and service was absolutely brilliant. Couldn't fault anything. Will definitely go back again.
Greta contemporary Vietnamese food. Variety and quality were high. Service was excellent and the speed of the meal delivery was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant highly.
Beautiful fresh food! My local! Highly recommend this place. BYO too. Winning! Loved the baked fish - that was yum yum yummy! Thanks again for the food
Open plan space with high industrial ceilings. The service was attentive and the food was fresh. Salt and pepper squid had a great dipping sauce with good heat.
The service was fast. The food was really yummy. The decor made me feel warm & comfortable. I thoroughly recommend Nguyen Brothers to everyone, so don't delay!
Really great food - you must try and salt and pepper squid. I thought it was a bit pricey as there wasn't anything that out of the ordinary that you couldn't find at one of the authentic places in Marrickville (except maybe the squid). You are paying for the fit-out/ambiance but if you don't mind that you'll love it!
Great food options, fresh flavours, reasonably priced and nice wine selection. It was handy having Dan Murphy's across the road if wanting to BYO wine.
Food was great, good selection and interesting foods, all yummy. Their alcoholic drinks are not in menu, but rather on wall, so don't be confused (we didn't realise they had wine and beer so went to Dan Murphy's across the road and got a bottle). Service wasn't great, the waitress seemed to get our order confused and didn't put through half the order which meant they came out very spread out.
The food was really great and lots of options and really reasonably priced, the restaurant had a fantastic environment and the service was great. Overall had a fantastic experience
Great food - choice a bit limited unless your a pork fan, fortunately I am. Surroundings are a bit spartan and lack ambiance for my taste. Will definitely eat here again but probably mid-week rather than as a Saturday dinner date.
A nice meal but the food was a little too sweet. We missed the chilli kick and there was no option to order those beautiful pickled vegetables that the vietnamese do so well. We wished our pork in clay pot had pork that was slow cooked in the lovely sauce but instead they took a short cut and used pork lardons. Having said that the green papaya salad was delicious and worth coming back for. All in all a good local but doesn't make you want to rush back.
Great food, great service and great price. This place is a perfect cheap and cheerful just like many in Newtown. Dan murphys across the road for your BYO
We ordered four dishes - two beef phos and two sugarcane prawns (not share plates) - all on the same number, and the dishes came out one at a time, 10 minutes apart. The first person had finished their lunch before the last person's dish came out. We had to check on our food four times before at all arrived. Not a great experience for a one-hour lunch break.
Menu looked tasty, but lacked flavour. Service and atmosphere was pleasant. Rice paper rolls needs more herbs and chilli, slow cooked pork belly was quite fatty. Crispy pancake needed more flavour.
Beautiful surroundings, very modern. Great lighting, lovely atmosphere, Reasonably priced food. But the quality of food was average though. Would definitely go back with friends.
The food was ok. Nothing special but not bad at the same time. The nuoc mam cham was very weak in flavour. Nice decor and service was good.
