So good, and friendly staff. The location is beautiful as well. Delicious desert, if you go in the sunset you will have the beach right there for you.

Food was amazing, service was just a little bit slow for our first dish to come out. Once the first dish came out we didn’t wait to long for mains. Just initial food.

All the food that we tried (both mains and dessert) were delicious and didn't have to wait long for it to arrive after placing our order.

Food and service was good. Loved the decor and surroundings. Only negative coffee was bitter and couldn't drink it. No one asked why I hadn't drunk it, but overall experience enjoyable.

High quality food in a lovely location. Thoroughly enjoyed both our entrees and mains. Had spatchcock from the specials menu which was delicious. Wine list is ok. Could do with a few more wines by the glass. Bit hard to gauge atmosphere as we were there Monday lunchtime but background music was at a good volume. Would definitely recommend this venue.

It was a good location however the food left a lot to be desired which was disappointing. The staff were friendly and attentive however which was great.

Great food and excellent service. Pizzas were interesting and tasty. Highly recommended. Perhaps a guide to parking in area on website as it cost $5.50 per hour out front.

Food was very nice. Mostly the service was good; but for a night when the restaurant was not particularly busy, the inordinate delay in food arriving was inexcusable. To say that the chef mixed things up (and then the waiter delivered another order to our table) is unsatisfactory to say the least. I have to say that based on reputation, Mr Lawrence did not live up to it on this occasion.

Lovely fresh dishes which we thoroughly enjoyed. Gorgeous views of the Spirit of Tasmania. Friendly & attentive staff. A problem with a smokey fireplace upstairs but they gladly moved us downstairs. Parking a problem.

Nice atmosphere and good service. We have always enjoyed coming here for their yummy pizza. This time decided to try the banquet offered through Scoopon and found it average.

We had a great night on Monday at the trivia night. The food was as usual very good. We will recommend it to our friends.

The food, service & atmosphere were wonderful. Not at all taking away from that great food & experience, we were quite surprised at an overall bill of $90/head which we checked and it was accurate (and we didn't feel we'd over ordered nor drunk very much). Our group of 5 dine out together regularly at a range of different types/levels of restaurant & this is much higher than other great experiences. In summary we loved it but would hesitate to come again based on likely cost.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, the food is scrumptious. Great choices for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. Brilliant setting and lovely spot on a sunny afternoon to look over the bay.

I met friends for lunch earlier this week. The service was excellent, our waiter was friendly and the food was delicious. It was Monday and not busy.

A delicious selection of mezze plates to share while seating window-side with a great view out over the bay. Will definitely be back some time soon.

Tasty food and great views of the sun setting and ships sailing from Station Pier. Friendly and helpful staff. Sadly no half-price pizzas on Monday nights anymore.

The Valentines dinner at Mr Lawrence could not be faulted. The food was delicious especially the grilled prawns with chermoula and the amazing Moroccan inspired eton mess, the chocolate truffles to finish off, were deliciously decadent. It was the perfect amount of food and good value at $140 for 5 courses.

Restaurant was great good food good staff and good service. What more needs to be said. why do you need have a minimum number of words?

Great food and even better cocktails, friendly efficient service. Hummus with chickpeas is a must have. Dessert servings very generous, easily split between two people!

Amazing menu. Good service. I took some colleagues here for dinner, who were visiting from Sydney. We had cocktails on the deck overlooking the beach before going inside for dinner. They were suitably impressed by the food and the location, and have been raving about both ever since.

Food was really tasty. Go for the tapas/small share plates as the choices are delicious. Service very good too. Lovely atmosphere and a recommended visit at lunch as quieter and more intimate.

Great fresh food, large serves, stunning views! Try the hummus, amazing meatballs or the delicious skewers. I’m not sure what is happening downstairs but upstairs is great.

It was easy to book. The staff were friendly and efficient. We really enjoyed our food. Very tasty and enough for the two of us. We will happily return.

Strangely, when we arrived there was no one around on the ground floor of the restaurant except empty tables and a chef out the back. A tip for new goers - don't wait and head straight up to the second floor.

Good service and good mezzo and wine lots of room and not too loud enjoyed the chicken wings and skewers as well as the pizzas

The atmosphere is stylish but relaxed and the food is always good with friendly service. Dinner at Mr Lawrence always results in an enjoyable evening.

Delightful food and share plates. The turkish lamb 'pizza' was delicoous, as well as the hummus. Had a table of 4 and sat by the window. The hostess was very attentive. Lovely middle eastern cuisine in a simple dining area.

We had a lovely meal and the menu choices were excellent .The wait staff were efficient and pleasant. Has become a favourite place to meet up.

I had been to Mr. Lawrence at the old premises (London Hotel site) and had enjoyed the food so it was nice to be in the new premises and have been allocated a great table as requested. Food was great and wine was good...view superb. Will be back again.

My choice meal here is there Turkish Pizza's although the other meals are great too - never been disappointed. Added bonus of half price pizzas on a Monday night.
