Amazing food and great atmosphere. Meat balls were incredible and the lamb pizza was delicious. And very reasonably priced. My date was pretty cute too.

Nice ambience, great dishes and service was good when the floor staff eventually got around to serving us. I suggest better resourcing. Great place to dine on lazy summer nights.

Loved the décor and ambience. Booked online requesting a table near a window and was happy to have been seated upstairs with a view of the Spirit of Tasmania all lit up. And getting the sea-breeze on such a hot night was great! All dishes we ordered were delicious and a good size serve. Service was a little poor though - we had to wait quite some time to be seated and a long time for our food to come out, even though the restaurant didn't appear to be busy, and over 20 mins to get our coffee at the end of the night.

Food was good. unfortunately we did not think to ask and we were not told by the wait staff that everything we ordered would arrive at the same time. Lacked some atmosphere. It was OK .. not great.. Another thing.. Food with three items should not be served to 2 people. explain this at the time of ordering. Probably would not return. Nothing to set it apart but, OK.

Absolutely delicious food! Recommend the borek and eggplant pizza. Staff are attentive and friendly. Also great views of the bay and station pier. Please try this place

I used to love Mr Lawrence, but it seemed to have gone downhill when I last went. The menu was cut down and they don't open for lunch most days. A pity, but there are quite a few fish in the sea.

Tempting and tasty cocktails perfect for a warm Christmas Eve looking out over Port Melbourne beach. Absolutely beautiful share plates. Highlights for us were the haloumi and the potato sides! Thank you to accommodating staff. A new Christmas Eve tradition?

Nice atmosphere, great tasting food (particularly mezze). Unfortunately let down by slow service (missed drinks, very slow to take orders). Suited our purpose but likely won’t return.

Mr Lawrence is always great. Their Moroccan twist add lots of flavour to their menu. My favourite is to share plates and the lamb meat balls are a must. Their pizzas are also the best. They make their own light and airy based and top it with fresh ingredients.

We sat on the balcony while the sun was setting over the bay. Beautiful warm night, great food and great views, good service too, what else could you ask for.

Food was delicious and comforting. The wait was longer than we expected but the food was worth the wait. We will definitely visit again when we can.

The food was really good and we had a nice view of the bay . They communicated well when organising the booking and set menu for a larger group. They gave us plenty of time over lunch. We were there from 12:45 to 5:00pm and were never rushed or felt pushed to leave. Maybe, if anything, the food was a little bit slow coming but this did give us time to digest between courses. A pleasant and positive experience.

Food was lovely but service was non existent. Took our order and never returned to the table unless delivering food and the restaurant wasn’t even busy yet.

Fantastic food at a reasonable prices and friendly but never pushy service - love this place! Next time will try for a seat upstairs so we can take in the view over the bay.

Mr Lawrence has consistently served excellent food over the years I've been going there. It is the place I take all my visitors and I've always had positive comments on both the food, service and location.

My favourite place in Port Melbourne. Service is always nice and friendly. The pizzas are delicious. I like the maze best...We.do a mix of meze and pizza or 2. Love the broccolini. Didn't give it a 6 because I find the chairs uncomfortable and portions of sides - fattouche and broccolini - seem to be getting smaller. But my 1st go to place always.

Staff are always friendly, helpful and accomodating. And the food and atmosphere is always great! No matter how busy the restaurant is, we’ve always received the same great service with the same fresh food!

Easy to get a booking on the day. Service was great and friendly. Food was delicious. We had the beetroot dip, mushroom pizza and a salad. Always enjoy coming here.

We eat here couple times a month and love everything about Mr Lawerence. Staff are happy and helpful and the food is delicious, fresh and full of flavour. Live the meze platter and the lamb shishkebabs.

We have been to Mr Lawerence several times now and have tried many items from the menu. We love it, food it really delicious, we love the meze platter, the slow cooked lamb and the eggplant pizza. Staff are very attentive and the venue is a lovely comfortable space. We will return often.

Never a disappointment in many many visits to Mr L. Took some overseas guests there for casual night out and they were super impressed with the mixture of pizzas and dips that we shared

Service was on the slow side, but food was excellent and quality made up for it. Cocktails in particular were very good and staff very polite. Would recommend.

Me Lawrence in its new location has gone off badly. Food still tasty but very little of it. Service was poor. Very disappointed. Won’t be returning.

The. food is always interesting and tasty. We had Avery nice Temperanllo and a particularly delicious dessert made with preserved lemons. Looking forward to next time!
