Good service, generous servings and the food was excellent. Hard to beat at a cheap price. We'll definitely be back and would recommend highly for a quick easy meal.
The prawn mee soup is very tasty and authentic. It's one of the best broth I've tasted. Generous portions of noodles as well as fish cake and prawns.
Went back for our favourites. The place is packed on Sundays so advisable to book.
The deep fried chicken wings are extremely crispy and delicious.
We’ve been coming here for awhile now. Our favourites include sweet and sour pork rice, char kway teow & prawn noodle soup. Tried a new dish, claypot yee mien which was nice too!
Great Malaysian meals of rice, noodles and dishes. The sweet and sour pork rice was delicious with good size portions. They also have a self service station for water and condiments.
One of the best prawn noodle soup... broth is tasty and spicy and ingredients are generous. You can opt to change the noodles into beehoon or vermicelli. Definitely a must try!
Loved the sweet and sour pork with rice. The egg gravy hor fun is pretty good too. Will definitely return as it has become a family favourite.
Tried a new dish - fried glass noodles with seafood. Hubby enjoyed it. So far most of the dishes we tried are tasty. Service is prompt too.
Good value as the Hakka noodles come in a huge bowl and a bowl of soup with 5 meat balls. Condiments are free which is great!
Mr hawker is located along Guildford road in maylands with ample parking and close to the city. The wan tan hor (fried kway teow with egg gravy) is very tasty.
Back for more delicious food, the Hakka noodles was very good, noodles soft & tangy. The sauce was flavourful and comes with a bowl of soup. Yee mee with pork & lard was also very appetising!
Second time here, decided to try the rice dishes, the sweet and sour rice is good! The marmite pork rib rice was not bad but prefer more gravy otherwise quite dry. Lor mee was average as sauce not sticky enough
Restaurant located along busy Guildford road in Maylands. Good variety of dishes and prompt service. Tried the char kway teow which was fantastic. Roti canai was average but the curry chicken was tasty. The hokkien noodle was braised and not the KL style I craved for.
We visited with a group of friends, after being impressed with the food during our previous visits. One again the food was delish. Service was good and the price very reasonable. Thanks
had the roti canai that was sensational - hokkien noodle with the most sweet luscious sauce ever and sweet and sour pork with rice - that too was big chunks of lovely pork with not much batter chinese tea pot for 1 ($1) total just under $30 for 2- will definitely be going back!
Great Malaysian food. Help yourself service, but very quick. All the food is cooked fresh and is wonderfully Malaysian. Ambience is a bit cafeteria like with TV going and lots of people everywhere, but with such good food, who needs anything else!
Penang char kway teow is delicious as it has the 'wok Wei' critical to the final taste!
The prawn noodle soup is very authentic and tasty and being a little spicy is perfect for cold weather. The Ipoh Kway Teow soup has a clear, simple broth that complements the fish balls and cakes very well.
Great dishes and value for money. BYO and service is friendly & efficient.
The menu has changed! The Hakka noodles have been scrapped. Tried the bbq pork noodles (dry) with a bowl of wonton soup, it was good.
