Montezuma's - Crows Nest

Very busy with a large group that ordered just before us, so our food took over an hour. Luckily we booked an early table anyway, and had some starters to tide us over. The food was lovely as usual, and even those in our group who hadn’t tried it before enjoyed it and want to return.

Montezumas always delivers reliably tasty food, nice sangria, delicious margaritas, good value for money and good service. Have been coming here regularly for over ten years now!

Delicious food. My favourite dish is the Chicken Mexican, it's so tender!! The sangria and margaritas are delicious. Churros are tasty too!

As usual, Montezuma food is really good. My plate was super full that I couldn’t even finished it all. The atmosphere is nice and it’s close to my home :)

Our food took really long to be served, we waited for about 45 minutes-1 hour to get our food and other tables that came before us got their food before us too.

We had to wait for a long time to actually place our orders even though the place was not full. This was the same the last time we have been there.

It’s akways good experience overall here. Just wish they have Salsa added to main dish rather than keep ordering bowls. Ambience is nice at this place.

Food and service were excellent. Only gripe was the long wait between receiving our guacamole for starter and the next dish, which should have been simple to prepare, namely 2 soft shelled pulled-pork tortillas. Especially enjoyed the guacamole and home-made spicy sauce.

Not a lot of information was given as to the sizes of all of the meals. For the price, we thought we’d receive a lot more. We were still hungry after! We got dessert and the chocolate mousse was DISGUSTING. It tasted like water mixed with drinking chocolate. It was all separated. Wouldn’t go again.

Food is great. Had to wait 45 minutes for the entree to arrive as it was very busy. Lucky I checked my bill as they made a mistake and charged me for someone else’s food bill which was much more expensive.

There was great service and amazing food. The decor was nice although wish I came at a busier period because there was no atmosphere and although staff were great they were out the back cleaning.

Delicious food and a nice atmosphere for family or friends alike. It's hard to choose what to order since everything on the menu sounds delicious.

Brought wrong order several times. Did not mention on the menu full ingredients on cocktails so ended up with one I was intolereant to and still had to pay for it. Overcharged everyone by at least $10-20. They were apologetic for getting orders wrong and gave a free dessert, but two of us were intolerant to dairy. I spent the rest of the day 'reacting' to it. The service was generally decent and the food nice but it was not a good experience.

My favourite Mexican Restaurant by far... love coming to this place food is always great , with good size servings and always leave satisfied & full.

Margarita's were poor quality, food came out cold and not fresh or well prepared. Another very nice mexican meal here at montezumas , really enjoyed the San Francisco beef burrito, chicken enchilada and mexican rice. Big serving and very tasty.

The food is always great and the atmosphere appealing. You are not sitting on top of other guests especially when in the booths. We travel from one end of the city to the other just to dine here.

Great place for a good Mexican feed, very big menu selection with heaps of great meal options to choose from. A good drinks selection also.

Food was great, atmosphere was fun and the service was extremely friendly. They brought out a sombrero, and ice cream and sang to our birthday boy. A lovely evening and the meal was great value as well. We will definitely return!

Took my parents for dinner, and my father's comment was "this is the best Mexican food i've have since we liced in North Sydney" (which was 35 years ago before i was born!). Suffice to say, they now love the food at Montezuma's as much as we do!

I chose Montezumas for my birthday lunch with some friends. We were a group of 5 & we were warmly welcomed by the lovely lady that served us. She made suggestions regarding the menu, 3 in our group had never eaten Mexican food before. She took photos of our group when asked & even appeared with a desert complete with a sparkler & sang happy birthday at the end of our meal. Everyone was very impressed with both the food & the service. We will be coming back!!

Above average mexican food for Australia. Mexican Flan was delicious. Margaritas were pretty good. Would be keen to go back and try the vegan fajitas.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, entree was a bit slow to come out but being a saturday night and busy was not an issue. Mains came soon after. Food was good but could do with a bit more flavour/spice.
