We usually go to this restaurant prior to a show at the Astor theatre. Service is always good and prompt. What we do is we order dishes from the Entree menu and share them. This gives a variety of tastes and they are generous enough to share out and taste a bit of everything. Pair these with some Nasi Goreng, and it is great. They do not have tea or coffee, so we usually head 50 metres down the road for waffles and coffee afterwards. Really tasty food at reasonable prices.
Hospitable service and great food. The setting was great for hosting guests, family and friends. I will definitely be coming back again soon for the duck dishes
Very disappointing. Small portions of uninteresting food. We ordered a chicken/vegetable dish. It was dull, minuscule pieces of chicken and not many of them in a broth with very small pieces of vegetable. The raita was excellent. We won't be going back.
I think they present a menu to a price, won't ever do their Scoopon again. Their normal menu looked much more interesting, I don't feel there should be a separate & special Scoopon menu for Scoopon customers!! It was weird especially for share dishes eg a piece of chicken leg, some piece of chicken sitting on some sort of puréed sauce, some strange anemic strips of prawn cracker stuff with a small touch of chilli dipping chutney. No just wasn't good enough
When arrived with a voucher purchased through Deals. At first it seemed we were not going to be allowed to use it, although I had informed the restuarant through email. Eventually it was decided they would allow us to use it. The restuarant was empty at the time so not sure why they would cause embarrassment over it. It was perfectly legitimate. As I had a guest that was an uncomfortable start. The food - It was called a banquet but it was a long way from being a banquet. Lucky we were both small eaters. The food was tasty so that sort of saved the day. We waited so long for the sweets to come out that we left in the end as we were booked for a show. ( waited about 20mins after the main meal was cleared. Nothing was ever said about the delay. I got the impression the waiter was overworked and couldn't service all the customers as it did get quite busy after a while and he was the only one working. Probably not returning.
Delicious! Plenty on the menu, I had the Gado Gado which was very yummy. Friends ordered the Nasi Goreng which they should have got with the optional egg (+$2.50). Desserts were really good as well, lovely and light and fresh and not too sweet. Love that they had raw, vegan cheesecake as a dessert option, they were delicious and a generous serve. The warm banana layer cake with coconut ice cream was really good too!
Great food good service and great prices A good Food would definitely recommend to anyone Very friendly and nice decor Staff friendly and attentive Go there
Enjoyed the Indonesian based food. Huge amount of choice of dishes. The staff were friendly and attentive. Buzzing. A bit noisy later, but a most enjoyable evening.
Fantastic! Beautiful food and atmophere, a real little taste of Indonesia. A really good find. Will definitely go back for another date night and the price is so reasonable.
Food was excellent as usual. The only setback was the long wait. There was only one person running the whole show and this was on a Saturday night. Not sure of how many people were in the kitchen though. Would I go back? Yes, if I am not in a rush to go somewhere after dinner.
The food was great and there is lots of good choices, but I had a table of 8 and the meals came out at different times, so some were eating when others had finished. Still, the food was worth waiting for.
