The beer is always cold, the food is always fast and fresh; the service top notch at The Mercantile! :-) My favourite pub for atmosphere.
Good pub food at reasonable prices with also a good choice of finger food. Gf options also on offer. Fantastic atmosphere great craic! I could come here every night.
Great food, reasonable price, nice staff. My only complaint is that the mussels were really tiny this time. When ordered previous visits they were large and plump.
The food and staff were both amazing. It was very busy with the markets but the staff were always available to help. I was a little disappointed to not get soda bread with the stew, but think they had run out but everything else was great! Thank you!
Booked Christmas in July set menu, food was fabulous particularly the pumpkin soup was amazing! We really enjoyed our evening with nice decorations and music :) only suggestion I would have is to offer mulled wine to have after!
Delicious hearty food & cosy atmosphere. Love the Irish feel & the heaters throughout the bar in this cold weather! Will be back to try more menu items - both food & drinks.
Best pub in The Rocks! Friendly staff, great food and awesome live music. It's so good to be able to have a boogie / dance in the city. Totally recommend The Mercantile at The Rocks in Sydney, it never fails to give us a happy memorable night.
Amazing place! Great atmosphere and really good food ! I really enjoyed the live band on a Friday night. Would definitely go back again !
Lovely, friendly staff, good music, food is average but they have great chips, in our party of 6 one meal needed to be sent back as the Shamrock pie was still frozen in the middle, the superfast replacement was perfect, very loud and happy atmosphere, well done to the staff :)
They have Guinness on draft!!! Good food, service and band. I definitely plan to be back here again soon with friends for dinner and drinks.
Always a great place to visit. Friendly staff and great tasting food not to mention the great live music. Will certainly be back in the near future.
We had a nice meal for three. Was loud because it was a pub, but food was alright and it was a nice environment. Would go again.
We went there for the live music and a meal, and weren't disappointed. The mussels in white wine sauce (we added Chili) were fantastic. Enjoyed the fish and chips as well. Recommended!
We had a great time at the Mercantile. We met friends and family for lunch on Australia Day. As always the food was great, as was the hospitality. It’s become our family favourite!
We had the WED special, glass of shiraz and Steak. Totally delish, quality and served by a gorgeous girl to us sitting in the breeze. Another super little Sydney find..
Fantastic food enjoyed by everyone and great service from all of the staff and had a great time sampling of the different types of beers and ciders.
Food selection was good for pub. We requested a quiet area which we got and it was very good. Service friendly and helpful. Would go again for a bite out
Great Pie with good beers on tap. It is fantastic being able to sit outside in the glorious sunshine. The waitress bought food and beer to the table which was helpful.
As always there was great service from staff, exceptional music from both bands as usual and the food and atmosphere was very Christmassy, Santa was also fery friendly
Very friendly service and great food, will definitely go back again soon. best place to go for Fridays' lunch with a group of work's colugues
Good value and hearty food. Great for a casual meal and drink with friends. Lovely friendly service from the staff as well. Reliable and won't hurt the wallet either.
Good pub food; with some Irish menu choices, good service; very friendly & accomodating, fantastic Irish band on Saturday afternoon. Whole place has a wonderful vibe. Just comes alive with music & people. The Irish know how to enjoy themselves.
Delicious food and great atmosphere. Nothing better than the feels of a home cooked meal on a cold winter's night. Great old pub with a great atmosphere! Will be back!
Great Irish pub located in a fabulous part of the historic Sydney Rocks precinct. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was great and of good value. Will definitely head back!
Our booking was all there at the allocated time. Good meals and vibe, though the live music made it a little loud to talk while having our dinner. We moved table and then it was fine.
Was there celebrating my birthday.. and I couldn't have asked for a better night despite the rain. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, the band were getting everyone dancing. It really is one of my favourite places to go!
Great venue, lovely food and wonderful service. Saturday night was really busy but a wonderful venue with live music .We will definitely be back and highly recommend
Very good. Helpful service & great pub food. Enjoyed a pleasant afternoon with old friends. Would recommend it for any type of lunchtime reunion. Thanks.
Lovely old irish pub with lots character and charm. Perfect for a casual drink and bite. Won't break the bank, not even close. You'll go home happy and satisfied and have change left over.
Very nice meal and pleasant staff. Not far from hotel so was convenient. Prices are good too. Had sirloin steak with mash potatoes and was lovely. Husband had fish n chips off special board and he enjoyed too. Would go back.
Very nice food , drinks and friendly service. I have been coming here since the 1980's and love the atmosphere of a real pub with an Irish feel.
You can't go wrong with this good value pub tucker. Friendly and helpful staff , great old style atmosphere....the band was great last night too
Great Irish pub atmosphere with live music, fast and friendly table service. Great beer battered chips and Kilkenny. Perfect location for an evening with Vivid.
It's a great spot, the service was excellent, and the food was great. What more could you ask for on a Friday catch up with the guys.
A great menu which appealed to the whole family and wonderful hospitality. This is a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon in the rocks.
