Our visit was excellent we often go to the Melbs and we have never been disappointed. It is always amazing

The restaurant was, as always, up to expectations. We had a friend from California who currently lives in Sydney. We wanted her to experience the best of restaurants here in Melbourne. It did not disappoint. Thankyou for a great evening.

Everything delicious, our favourite has always been the Peking Duck would have preferred to make our own pancakes that are not the same now, more hoisin sauce required and duck skin not in them.

overall I was very impressed. the only downside was the crayfish was overcooked otherwise all the other food was delicious and good value

The food and service were absolutely amazing. Had recently been to the conservatory at Crown, no where near as good as Melba, will definitely be telling friends and returning. Thank you.

Indian vegetarian food was repeat of previous day and in general food was cold

Food was fresh and delicious! The chefs and wait staff are absolutely brilliant! Our 5th time tonight and we will keep coming back!

Love the ambience and service. The Chinese food can be better. The Peking duck pancake was dry and the fried noodle was salty - not much flavour.

Upon arrival, the waiter in charge could not find my booking. Waiting for ages whilst he flicked through his iPad. I told him, I could go look around because my other dining companions had already arrived and I was late - which seemed to have made a big difference to being able to find my table/friends. But he never asked me anything other than what my name was when I arrived?! We were served by a large asian gentleman who was nothing but intrusive throughout our entire meal. He'd fill our water glasses up, if only by 1cm every so often leaning right across everyone and breaking conversation every time! We got up to get dessert and he rushed over to us with the bill!!!! Really, why?? When it came time for the bill, I gestured for him to give it to me (it was my treat) and he just placed it in front of my guests on the other side of the table. Customer service I would give 0/0 for an establishment which should pride themselves on customer service. Now to the food - it was good. However nothing special. All of the spoons, tongs other servicing utensils needed to be cleaned/replaced throughout the dinner service as some were greasy and messy from being put back into the food dishes - this needs smartening up!! Dessert was misleading, it looked like there were so many sweets to choose from, however upon further inspection, there was ice cream (and again the ice cream scoops were covered in sticky melted ice cream - yuk!), sticky date pudding, chocolate fountain and then approx. 6 small desserts in the refrigerated case and most of double quantities, so you thought there were more than there actually was. Disappointing. Won't go back.

Always love going there to dine, especially with family and friends. Lovely atmosphere and variety of dishes.

We were a party of 7 but one of our friends cancelled, Melba Restaurant were fine with that and quickly changed the table setting. We used the valet parking which was really handy as parking around the city during the day is pretty expensive (Melba charged $19 for 4 hour stay) the food is always freshly made to order!

It was exellent. Food was fresh and big variety. We can hardly move after eating so much. We got discount as hotel residents.

It was a 60th birthday and it was fantastic. The food was excellent, fresh and plenty of diverse options. The special touch of a cake for the birthday person was appreciated

Eaten here 4 times in the past and everytime its been amazing so brought my family who were here on holiday hoping to impress them but unfortunately for me the food on this occasion was very average and definitely not worth the money it costs

Melba is marvellous it’s very welcoming did enjoy the food especially the oysters. I would recommend to anyone

Went there on a public holiday, there were not too many people so we didn’t have to queue for too long for food. Food was great but desserts were average and fruits were not sweet.

Food was very nice Indian would have been better if they had a better variety beef vindaloo chicken tikka masala ect not just goat curry with bones and vegetarian curries

very good value for money, selection isnt wide ranging but the quality is very good. Certainly quality over quantity

Service was great. Some of the food stations excellent whilst others were average. The ambience needs abit of a spruce up I would also encourage a smart dress code to pick up the standard.

Great service but overall standard has dropped from previous visit

Some of the food wasn’t as hot as I would have liked, may have partly been due to cold plates. We ate fairly early and the restaurant was mostly empty which did impact on the atmosphere. Our table was overlooking the River and Melbourne skyline which was lovely. The service was exceptional
