In terms of value for money the Crown Conservatory is slightly better value when they offer a free glass of wine and free coffee.

Amazing food, service & atmosphere. The place was packed, the layout of service stations was very easy to follow. Food was very well present and tasted so yummy. Customer service was fantastic throughout the lunch. Will definitely be back.

Have been having lunch at the Melba Room for many years including on special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries and have always come away satisfied.

The food and wait staff we're lovely. The restaurant could do with an update and make it a little brighter. I think jugs of tap water should be offered on the table and not sparkling or flat water that we have to pay for, which we were not advised of, we did have tap water refilled by wait staff but no jugs of water. I mean we are already spending $100 per head and to be charged for water is pretty bad, tea and coffee should be included in $100 too.

Food was good but not quite up to our expectation.

Our waiter was fantastic and decor lovely, but we specifically chose Melba Restaurant for its seafood buffet and carvery, only to have overcooked scallops, the carvery understaffed (1 chef trying to serve 10 people) and we were charged $70 for a $19 bottle of wine!

It was a special occasion and the food, service and ambience met my expectations.

Mai , it was in April this year when we visit the restaurant.Everything were exceptional , especially the services. This time service was horrible,foods not fresh.

Great in all aspects of Dining apart from being understaffed. The Staff did their best but not sufficient on duty to be able to keep all the Patrons happy most of the time.

The staff and service was very good. The selection of food was underwhelming and the desserts need to be improved. I don’t think the cost is suitable for the food, in a city like Melbourne where you can get better food for the same price.

Went on a night they had abalone and crayfish. They also had really fresh seafood!

Feel great to have lunch there to celebrate my son finished his VCE. There were 3 old ladies next table to celebrate one's 85 years old. Sweet!

A good range of food on offer lots of it freshly cooked, but you ran out of veggies to go with the roast.

Not bad overall, service let them down this visit. Waited over 20mins to get in which is unusual and chasing for drinks all night. Food was great as usual.

My first experience at The Melba for their Buffet Luncheon. Thoroughly enjoyed the selection of foods available. Will definitely book again and bring along some new friends to experience this wonderful venue.

Handful of deserts only, not many options compared to other buffets. Service was ok as expected from a hotel buffet. Too expensive and not enough value for money.

Buffet dinner, with a great selection seafood, roast meat and a yummy chocolate fountain for dessert.
