good experience everyone enjoyed food and good time enjoyed by all.
It’s been 18 years that we’ve been celebrating our pre Christmas function at the Sheraton now Langhams. I was extremely dissatisfied with both the lack of smorgasboard variety and the overall service. I’ve seen a constant decline in both over the years, this will be our last!
Waitperson looking after us was efficient and pleasant. Really missed the Rogan Josh indian, sashimi bar was good,

Beautiful location, very hospitable staff. Seating was in a lovely location. Food was excellent with lots of choices.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Love the Christmas decor Good location
My group of 4 was located near some huge tables with 16-20 people so it was a little noisy. I was also little disappointed in the service as no one seemed to be attending to our table. We had to flag someone more than once . We ordered drinks 10 minutes after we arrived and was left waiting for 35 mins for the order to arrive. This isn't the first time I have used Melba's and have always found to staff to be very attentive, so it was a little disappointing as I had my parents with me for the first time, so it didn't leave them with a good impression of Melba's unfortunately.
Value for money was not there for me. All my friends said they would prefer the Conservatory, fresh food and more fish variety
Found level of seafood wasn’t great as prawns not fresh and not cold enough - found meat carvery area was very dry at second sitting . Variety of salad wasn’t to a 5 star level . More quality salads would be highly suggested . Also fresh salmon slices wasn’t cold.
Staff were attentive and friendly and most of all the food was fantastic. Will definitely go again. :)
absolutely enjoyed the total variety of food. great services friendly staff
Amazing food, friendly welcoming staff. Well worth the price tag.
We had a Lovely lunch enjoyed that was enjoyed by all.

Excellent restaurant. Great service and beautiful food. We will definitely be back.
The overcooked lobster was something I could not expect from a high priced restaurant.
Every year, (at least two or three times a year) my friends and I visit the Melba for a catch-up lunch or dinner. We are also regular participants in the Christmas buffet over the past 20 years. Last night's offerings were overall not as enjoyable/unusual as in previous years for quality and variety in offerings. While some dishes were excellent, the crayfish were disappointing in that the sauce overwhelmed the flavour which was very 'fishy', while the range of Desserts was 'ordinary' for the price and the season. nevertheless - the service was excellent and the quantity of food was excellent.
Food was fantastic but service at tables was slow. We had to keep asking where our drinks were as they kept forgetting them.
I have been going to this restaurant over the last 30 years well before it was the Langham and today’s breakfast was disappointing. I found the variety and quality of fruit well down on other years. Today we spoke about trying other places because of our experience. I did plan to come and stay overnight in the next 2-3 months and not sure if I will now.
I found that the restaurant had dropped its standards food was not of the same quality I have experienced in the past. Also this has been a venue and setting that had expected a higher dress code to fir with a special ambiance. Unfortunately it has dropped it standards with people in track suits trainers and caps not really a dress code that is for a higher end restaurant at 140 a head.
Although pasta was available to be made when you order, didn’t get the choice make a pasta that you would like to eat, but everything else was good
Food great, do not expect to have a few drinks. Lucky to have 1. Drink staff poor
Nice sushi bar, friendly stuff. Sweets, so cute. Very comfortable .
Food were excellent. Disappointed in staff. More training is needed
Obviously the location is fabulous although we had the view of the roof. Overall the food was satisfactory but very little fruit selection and disappointing dessert options compared to what we have eaten at The Conservatory. A little B class and not cheap at $110 a person. The sea food however, was amazing...a little disappointed overall. We would rate this a 6/10
Loved it! Expensive but worth it for a special occasion
Great selection of food, great service but the price was very expensive for a Sunday in December.
Outstanding buffet. Great service. Great value and ambience. Thoroughly recommend.
Slow is removing dishes. Seems to be getting worst and worst

Good value for money if you are a seafood lover, however still a great experience for all.
Team Breakfast, and everyone really enjoyed it. Will be making this an annual visit :)
Loved every moment of it. The staff were very polite and attentive. Overall, my friends and I had a fabulous time.
Four young ladies met nealy 50 years ago celebrated another delightful christmas lunch at the Langham.we feel so welcomed.
Vegetable often luke-warm at best - crowding at stir-fry counter because of proximity to end of roast counter causes delay & confusion - noise level annoying but it was a very busy day
Waited a while before having drinks order taken, dirty plates left too long on the table, had to ask for a hot stronger coffee!
Crayfish and abalone sashimi. Amazing buffet with good price. Love it
Great ambience, excellent service, variety choice of mouth watering food.
Everything was extremely good. Found the cost a bit high when compared to other well known restaurants around Melbourne We go out a lot to eat and have never got to the $300.00 mark for two with the wine. But the fact you have so much diverse food is a major PLUS to you. We have been there numerous times and enjoy it. We could come more often if the price tag was not as high.
Stayed the night, so experienced both dinner and breakfast. Great selection of tasty dishes - even the fussiest eater will find something to eat. Staff were courteous and helpful. Waiting for 15 minutes for a free table at breakfast was a bit annoying but everything else was perfect. We'll be back.
It was a lovely night, service was great. Thanks :)
The servicr was great, and atmosphere was amazing, but the food was slightly limited. Option wise.
Restaurant was clean & tasteful. Staff exceptional, polite & well presented. Will be heading back there on a monthly basis we could not sample all the foods available.

Great night. Food great. Those on my table did say lobster was overcooked but everything else was lovely.
Excellent and value for money ENJOYED BY ALL WHO ATTENDED
Was very nice food great friendly staff Wine was good
Food quality was fresh and superb, certainly come back soon.
Staff in attentive but pleasant. Had to continue to ask for a drink. Never approached us once. Had to try and get her attention each time. Food not as good as previous experience.
Busy Saturday breakfast with long queues and wait for table service.
We went for breakfast at Melba to celebrate our 34th Wedding Anniversary. The buffet was nice but not as good as it used to be (compared to a number of years ago), in regards to the variety of food. The wait staff were VERY friendly and helpful, but as it was a Saturday it was VERY busy with lots of queues. I’d recommend Melba to those who are looking for a nice breakfast with a beautiful view of the Yarra and the city.
Service was 10/10 & the food overall was good. A great family experience.
Good experience overall, no further comments on this visit of ours.
Brilliant array of fresh international cuisine. Attentive service. Lovely setting.
