Food is average and not much choices considering it is on a high end price range.

My partner and I were greeted by the lovely staff and were seated by the window with a beautiful view. Most of the food was really yummy! Gyoza was a bit cold. Some of the pastries didn't feel as fresh and the tiny cupcakes didn't taste good at all! Had quite a strong cheap product taste to them with a strong aftertaste. Overall, great experience!

Had an 8.30 seating, wasn't seated until 9 due to massive slow delayed queue to get in. Table service was extremely slow for the drinks service the whole night. The drinks package is an absolute waste of money as you aren’t served. Waitress completely forgot about our table it seemed better service elsewhere. My advice order bottled wine for table instead; Drinks package where you only served a couple if times is a rort Seafood waste bowls and first & second coarse plates remained on our table of six for almost the entire evening only being removed after several times of asking. At end of meal we were not asked if we wanted coffee and had to go and ask another waiter for these as our waitress was inattentive. Food was great, however mini dessert bar fell short on restocking perhaps due to last seating of evening which is not good enough. This is not ideal in a restaurant of this caliber but our advice is to select these before starting first course to keep on table before starting first course.

Great selection of food and staff were very accommodating. The setting was very outdated and felt very much like your morning buffet breakfast. I thought it was over priced for what you got. We had heaps of kids near our table making noise and it's not what you want when you are paying $105 each for dinner.

Food I think, is not up too the standard it was a few years ago. I had quite a bit of fat on some of the roast meats. Also found the cutlery not sharp enough. Melba Room starting to look a bit tired, and is in need of an upgrade.

Good food - lots of variety. Ambiance is nice. Staff are also atttentive.

Service staff was very good, unfortunately she had to look after so many table. It is not value for money compared to exclusive restaurants in the city. Our finger bowl had two chipped and Asian action lady was not interactive and kind of rude and no smile at all. Hosting was not consistent had to wait for too long to be seated.

The food was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was so lovely. We ordered 3 glasses of apple juice with ice...only one was given with ice the other 2 without. She saw this and immediately told us she would get the ice added to the other 2 glasses. She went out of her way to make us happy. Exellent customer service. Thumbs up.

Pricy. Food was not worth the money. Lack of variety, sashimi wasn’t fresh.

had a farewell lunch for two colleagues and they received a card and cupcake each in a cute little box. was a very nice surprise when we were seated. thanks melba! will be back.

A great first time experience, will definitely return. A little noisy and not very private as you are seated so close to other diners.

love there sushi and sashimi section , raw oysters are fresh. wok fried food are salty , hope they can change the seasoning recipe.

Great experience and we enjoyed the food. As we walked in someone escorted us and explained everything on the menu. So happy with our first ever dinner at Melba.

Long queues especially for the sushi/sashimi station made this impractical for us. We unfortunately missed out on this lovely station. The line also blocked the nice fresh seafood station which was a pity. Loved the indian guys doing the naan. Always a highlight.
