Mark and Vinny’s - Spaghetti & Spritz

Love vinny! met him upon entry last night what an excellent restaurant owner! he is an example of how all owners should be! Although, it was very cramped for our party i felt bad for my friend constantly had to keep moving for the people who sat next to us that kept going to the toilet ! But with that being said food was incredible and the spritz was even more better! we visited as spaghetti and spritz was our go to in europe 6 months ago and we thought we would go to mark and vinnys to relive that, so thank you for the experience vinny! we loved it !

Beautiful, delicious food and warm service. It doesn't get any better than this! I will absolutely be back and will bring all my friends to share the good vibes!

Mark and Vinny's is super atmospheric, with Sinatra's famous lyric in neon and cosy seating arrangements it looks and feels like the type of Italian restaurant where a good night takes place. With the friendly Vinny/Mark acting as a maître d′ of the evening assisting with drink order and asking if we wanted chilli oil for our meals which was a lovely touch. It was the hype around M&V that prompted a booking for group of 5 for a weekday catch up. We ordered a variety of dishes off the menu that was very experimental food with a vegetarian or vegan focus. We missed seeing a traditional Spaghetti bolognese or no alternative option to have a cow cheese rather than the vegan cheese paired with the bruschetta on the menu. But were impressed with the variety of spritz to choose from that were super refreshing. Super creative menu with gluten free options and chef specials but very limited meat options for non-vegos and dessert options are small. We were a bit disappointed in the way staff didn't describe the chef specials it was just left for us to suss out on our own without any guidance, there was a 20 minute wait in between entree and mains, and again staff were a bit rude in how they asked us to leave (or lackthereof asking) just bill on the table with our servings of dessert and 2 minutes later a card machine appeared. There was an extremely awkward moment when a waitress was in a hurry to move us along for the next sitting that our dessert was taken away half eaten. Not in a hurry to go back but the hype drew us in.

Always a great experience going to Mark and Vinnys! Vince is such a wonderful host. We started with the burrata which was delicious then tried to beetroot spaghetti which was also tasty!

Spritzer was great, ginger beer cider was good. Entre delicious and dessert was very tasty. Cutlery was unusual and a nice touch. Table proximity very cosie.

As always, an amazing dinner with Vince & his exemplary team. The food is fabulous, the flavors innovative and sublime. The cocktails are delicious too.

LOVE THE VEGAN OPTIONS! Exciting vegan dishes, more than one option, unlike other places that offer just a single substitute of what's on the menu. My pasta dish even came with dairy-free parmesan. Also, great cocktails!

The service, food and atmosphere is what is missing in Sydney. It is definitely not one to be missed, with so many delicious options to choose from

I don’t usually order vegan , ordered the vegan lasagne , charcoal bucatini and spaghetti with eggplant balls and it was all amazing the service was friendly and attentive and desserts were delicious. Especially the apple pie with salted caramel ice cream. Definitely 6 stars

The vegan pasta and eggplant balls exceptional, service spot on and friendly, warm welcoming environment and awesome vegan menu and wine selection. Only downfall is the price, costs a lot especially for the portion sizes but then the menu is creative and the chefs are clearly talented so that's reflected in the prices I guess. The dessert I think it was overcooked but my partner enjoyed it, so difference of opinion. Will definitely be back!

Delicious pasta! They made mistake with our order but gave us a digestive to make up for it which was cool. It had a fun ambiance

The restaurant was buzzing and vibrant, I almost felt like we were overseas in another country! We didn’t mind the noise but some people might. The high ceilings and beautiful interiors make up for it.

Great food and atmosphere - with friendly staff. Booking was easy online and they even sang happy birthday to my wife; which was a lovely touch.

The service was excellent, the spaghetti tasted nice but was possibly a little warm and not hot enough and the spritz has included a lot of different options which catored to everyone. Overall a good experience.

Lovely staff and delicious food. We had the zucchini flowers and burrata for entree and spaghetti with meatballs for main. Loved the passionfruit spritz, it was very refreshing.

Loved, loved, loved - everything from the food to the service! There is a reason they made the Sydney Good Food Guide :) Hot tip would be to try the Pannacotta!

There was lovely service and the food was absolutely delicious especially the lasagne and charcoal pasta Also enjoyed the great selection of sprites and cocktails.

Overall a good experience. We were celebrating our anniversary and booked 2 months ago but still got sat on a table of 4 with people we didn’t know (there were tables of 2 available). Food, drinks and staff were great!

Delicious food, however, we were stuck waiting for our mains for about an hour. We had to ask the wait staff to check on our order, once it came out it seemed like they had clearly forgotten because our dishes appeared slightly rushed. Entrees and dessert came out fairly quickly though and the owner was incredibly polite and greeted us at the door.

We don't mind sitting close to others in a small restaurant, but it was incredibly tight to sit at the same table as others...I couldn't get out to go to the bathroom without making three people move and a waiter help out. Also, we ordered the bruschetta and were told it wasn't available...despite it being only 6pm! And we had the caprese salad with other bread so technically the two main ingredients of Caprese? We enjoyed the cocktails and general vibe and liked meeting the owner Vince. Will come back with a larger group.

Always exceptional food and service everytime. My favourite restaurant. Vegan food and non vegan food there’s something for everyone. Enjoy a pretty spritz with your meal.

Get food as always, team were happy to accomodate when we were running late Little noisey but staff, food and drinks make up for this massively :) Will be back soon

Their dishes are really unique, healthy, and delicious! Best pasta in Sydney. Not only looks, but also tastes great! All staff are very friendly. We definitely come again.

The food was absolutely delicious!! We shared some entrée to begin with and then I had the Maccaruni Calabrese pasta for my main which was definitely they stand out dish of the night. Thank you Vinny for welcoming us into your restaurant, it was lovely!

Food was great, waiting staff are very attentive and the owner greats you at the door. The lasagne is amazing! Being vegan it’s been quite some time since I’d had one! Overall the experience was really nice!

Loved the spritz and pasta was good (but was sad the vegan kale pesto pasta had gone off the menu!) Noise levels are high but good buzz.

Really delicious food, great service, we'll definitely be back. Everything came out looking so pretty, the spritz combinations were lovely, one of our diners said it was the most amazing drink she's ever had!

This is such an innovative restaurant and it feels like home! Vinny and the staff were so hospitable. The spritz drinks were refreshing and artistic. Each plate we ordered was a delight. The pastas were so fresh and tasty. We loved the blue crab pasta and the beef ragu melted in our mouths. The zucchini flower appetizer was delicious and the cauliflower was the best I have ever had. The desserts were just as good as everything else. As we looked around, we watched others have the same happy experience that we did. Mark and Vinny’s is a happening place in Sydney.

Perfect venue for a girls nights or that romantic evening with your loved one. Service was 10/10, be ready to be charmed by the beautiful bartenders and waiters and literally flown to the moon on the delectable food. As a vegan, it is common to get used to only having one dish to choose from when eating out Italian - not here! 3-4 vegan options and enough spritz to keep you up til the morning. No faults, will be back for sure. Thank you for the easy reservation system and a night to remember with the girls!

Great atmosphere and food! A table of 11 with a set tasting menu meant we got to try a range of the pasta options and have ease of payment at the end. Fly me to the moon!!!!

The service at this little bsr was exceptional, and we were very appreciative of that. The ambience was a bit tiny and squishy, and the bar is tucked away in Surry Hills. We got the charcoal bucatini and beetroot spaghetti with basil pesto, both of which were amazing and were purely vegan! The dishes are a bit pricey however with smaller serving sizes, however the food was very fresh snd exquisite.

Delicious pasta... What a great little find! The perfect Friday lunch and with the option of bottomless Spritz...!!! It was good way to end the week and kick off the weekend vibes!

Absolutely incredible food and cocktails. I found it quite hard to hear my partner talking because it was very noisy, but our experience was nevertheless wonderful.
