The food was beautiful however the service was really poor, wait staff did not seem to listen or were paying much attention to taking orders.

My third visit to Mama Mulan. It was my favourite, but not this time. Ridiculously short-staffed. We waited for over 5 minutes to get seated. Waved for so long to get the staff to fill the water and ended up giving up. None of the staffs was attended to film the glass themselves. Quite disappointed by their service.

Although a bit difficult to find on the otherwise quiet 1 st floor of Chatswood’s Concourse, the restaurant’s ambience was pleasantly elegant. The yum cha dishes we ordered from the memo (not from rolling carts, which I actually enjoy) were tasteful, delicious, and novel. Mama Mulan is more expensive than the many Asian and Asian fusion restaurants that surround it in Chatswood, but my limited experience suggests it is worth the extra coin for a performance or special occasion night. It was full for Saturday lunch, with locals, always a good sign.

Came here for my birthday dinner with family on a Sunday night (table for 8 people). Food was great, very tasty, well-presented and adequate portion sizes. The only negative was that the noise level was too loud - I hate going to restaurants where you have to shout at the dinner table. Won't be coming back for dinner because of the noise level but maybe lunch.

Loved the atmosphere, decor and service. The food was such a fantastic but slightly unusual version of familiar chinese dishes. We had a lovely corner table and were left to chat and the service was very attentive to our needs

Overall very good, just the lunch time was really busy and the air con can work bit harder.

It was a weekday lunch, I was there with a business associate and it was very hard to hear. There was a group of ladies with their children in the next table in the middle of the restaurant, and the kids were running about. It would have helped to put groups especially with children in a separate room or area. Otherwise, we enjoyed the food.

the serving size was inadequate, the staff tried, but they seemed overworked. We asked for a pot of hot water which was refused, resulting the staff had to constantly refill of our cups, noise level was very high. Its a hybrid modern Chinese, and ended neither the traditional vibrant Chinese nor the sedate pleasant Western. i

Great food and service for a business lunch, however we had to move tables to a quieter place at the front of the restaurant.

It’s my second time this week... everything was ok except the steam cod fish was a bit fishy in taste. And I was a bit embarrassed as I mention to them as that australia produce are of high standards!!

Been here a few times since Mulan opened, the food is good but the service is slowly improving.

Food arrived very quickly and was delicious as always. Waited a couple of times for drinks service and for our plates to be cleared but service always friendly and warm. Will definitely be back.

We booked at 6:00pm table for 3. After we settled down at the table which close to the front door (which I think the location should not set a table at all), there are nobody sit at our next table. After we ordered, some people sit down. After half hour, our next able got all dishes and we got nothing. Which I have to question the waitress did she put our order into the system. (I think she didn't), after I complained, in 10 mins all my dishes came at one go. The Deep fried Mongolian lamb ribs are too dry to eatable. It cost $45. It's a mistake to order it. Noise was fine. 2 Adults with one kid, we spent $145 without ordered seafood. Nice to try and would not come back. (This review will be shared in google)
