Food was good but nothing special. Service was extremely slow, it took an hour for our pasta to arrive and on top of that we were charged a public holiday surcharge (which is always acceptable in most cases, but service was shockingly slow).

We ordered entree and main meals, food was too rush out, main was out within minutes of having entree. Rice balls overcooked and dry. My gnocchi wasn’t certainly fluffy and tender it was too hard and the sauce tasted like it came out of a leggos jar.

Really friendly service at lunch and a great meal. The location is perfect.

Service was really subpar. Waitresses were rude and abrasive. When picking up the menus after ordering, she dragged the menu out from under my dad's plate and nearly tipped his food over into his lap. When placing the garlic bread board down, the same waitress didn't move anything and nearly knocked over the wine. Caprese and the truffle pasta were lovely but the gnocchi was far too cheesy, bland and disappointing. Portions were good and the coffee was hot and strong.

pizza was bland, overcooked, tasted like it was not fresh at all.

Delicious food. Attentive but sensitive service. Great place for a catchup with friends but sadly music a little too loud.

Very pleasant evening in the heart of Melbourne city today

Unfortunately the specials menu they gave us wasn't the current one so then we had to re-order. The music was too loud so everyone had to compete with it which made noise levels high and you couldn't hear others across the table which makes it an effort to catch up with friends. Food was tasty and good price for a lunch special and staff were attentive

I've been going to Maccaroni Trattoria Italiana for a number of years now - the staff and food are excellent. Pricing is very reasonable. One of my favourite places.

We had a great night at Maccaroni Trattoria. The menu has a good variety of meals for all, the pasta being the highlight. Staff were friendly and helpful. I’d recommend Maccaroni Trattoria for family catch ups. We’ll be back.

Very busy and popular. Good range of dishes, and very friendly service. Tasty dishes and great pizzas. Nice desserts, especially the Tiramisu. Portions are fairly generous, but can look deceiving. Slightly above-average prices on my opinion. Great vibe and good range of cocktails as well.

The pasta was amazing! Really great food and arrived quickly. Was quite noisy in the restaurant and service could have been better. Staff were lovely and friendly, but were a little slow to take order and refill/reorder drinks. But overall, with food as good as it was, can over look that.
