Locale Mio restaurant

we were the first to arrive at the restaurant for dinner service and were seated in the doorway, even though we asked to be seated elsewhere. throughout our meal we had people opening and closing the door behind us and constant foot traffic around our table.

The food and service is always outstanding! One of my favourite places to eat out.

Went with my partner to celebrate a birthday. We had tapas and every dish tasted great. Only complaint would be that they were apparently all designed for sharing but most had an odd number of items so can’t share equally between a couple. The service was very friendly and personable and the menu and dishes were all explained to us. We didn’t have to wait very long after ordering and staff checked we were happy several times. The restaurant was comfortable and a good temperature considering it’s winter. We would definitely eat here again to try some more of the menu and probably take some friends.

Beautiful food, great wine list, excellent service. What more could you ask for? A great find. We are looking forward to returning.

We chose this as our first restaurant to experience following the restrictions being lifted after Covid19 and it was worth every little tasty morsel. This is by far the best Italian in Perth and we loved the authentic tapas style of dining. The service is amazing (generally greeted by the smiling and friendly owner), the crew are knowledgeable and happy to offer suggestions if you are not familiar with tapas style dining. They handled the restrictions extremely well. I wanted to keep how good it is a secret but I feel it would be an injustice to all the foodies out there. There wasn’t a crumb left on any of our plates. The waitress and barman (for those non drinkers out there the free falling mocktail is Divine!) were also super friendly plus the service was immaculate and quick. The crew as a team seemed to work well together always keeping an eye out to ensure service standards were kept high. The cider porchetta for savoury and the pannacotta for dessert are my personal faves (so many compliments to the chef on all dishes though!) but my husband couldn’t choose a fave, he simply noted he was glad the restaurant was so close to where we live so we can make visits more often! For the quality of food I believe it to be well priced and the servings are just right for tapas. Perhaps some will see it as on the expensive side but this is not your average Italian, it’s a home cooked style - perfected family recipe - lots of care and explosion of flavours type of Italian and I believe you’ll find it worth every penny and more. Love it and will most definitely be back again and again! Thank you.

Wonderful family night out where service was friendly and very welcoming. Everyone loved the tapas especially squid ink tempura calamari, the gamberi, fried mozzarella balls and of course the melt in your mouth suckling pig. We had silky smooth pasta - definitely try the crab spaghetti. Yum! Awesome dessert - the the salted caramel doughnuts were a hit. Great cocktail list with the adults enjoying a couple of cheeky cocktails and top marks for the coffee. Thoroughly recommended!

This was our second visit, this time we had a number of various cold and hot tapas, the food was absolute perfection, full of flavour. Brilliant way to try a range of dishes and still end up very full at the end of the night. Locale Mio has become our favourite 👌

This was our first restaurant visit after the easing of Covid restrictions and it didn't disappoint. They also did a brilliant delivered menu during lockdown. Its our local and we love it.

Glad to be back at our favourite spot now we can dine in. My favourite food goes even better with my fabourite limoncello mule cocktail!
