First time at Lago di Como, really enjoyed it, excellent service, suggest the tasting plate before a pizza, great combination, finish off with Gelato and Limoncillo Will definitely go again.
Atmosphere great. Food good. Went on a Friday night and in my opinion were understaffed. One poor waitress + the guy making pizza (he was flat out with take-aways) Food came out quickly, once we ordered, but after that, felt more like a number. And when leaving, was asked by the manager why we didn't have any dessert. That was a first. Many people don't have dessert for various reasons. They could be watching their weight. They may be full. Why was he concerned unless he just wanted to get more money out of us? Left a bad taste in our mouths. It is a good restaurant, but could be great if they just refined a few of the things they did.
The food was awesome as always. Service was a bit slow and those that ordered something other than pizza for mains were finished before the pizza mains arrived 😬 Love the atmosphere of authentic Italian though!
The food is always great @ Lago di Como, we had a new trainee waitress this time around, but the staff members’ attentiveness makes up for the slightly longer waiting time we experienced. The restaurant is great for friends and family gatherings, very cosy, and could be perfect if they could lower down the volume of the music. The kids really enjoyed their pizza too! Thank you, we’ll be back again soon.
The staff were attentive and highly skilled. The family group of six of us were utterly delighted with the food. Brilliant balance of texture and taste. Tactile delight and deep arousal of the superb Italian sensuality associated with fine food and wine. Nobody wanted to go home!
The service was very poor, slow, haphazard, we waited for any service at all, everything came out in spurts, did not make for an enjoyable night. Sorry we won’t be back
the service was amazing!! best customer service ive had at a restaurant in years... staff where so friendly, helpful and accommodating! food was delicious and came out fast and fresh... value for money was great! BYO also.. will be back for sure. highly recommend
The service was terrific, very friendly and helpful, Pizza, pasta and gnocchi are delicious, one of the dessert was creme brule it was grainy and overcooked we told the owner , and he apologised, he gave us a Nuttella dream dessert for our group ( 20ppl) , Tiramizu was so yummy and decadent, only minor flaw , we dont really make a big deal out of it , definitely keep coming back for a meal
Lago di Como has been a local favourite for many years. Consistently good menu, good cooking and good service. It's great to be served a lasagne and a fettucine with prawns, both dishes properly hot.
We were a very large group and were asked to choose a set menu. Tasting plates and pizza were fantastic. However the main meal was very disappointing. The main was suppose to be Marinara and Ravioli plus salad. We were served 1 plate of pasta to share between 2 people. The plates were very inconsistent, some had no sauce at all. Didn't like the fact we had to share between 2. It was Cannelloni not ravioli with no salad. Food was really slow coming out. Only BYO wine. No other BYO allowed! Beer was there to purchase.
Fresh and very tasty food, Friendly service also appreciated, Food prices are quite reasonable but I thought the corkage price of $8 per wine bottle seems a bit high.
Once again great food and awesome people. Thanks for making us feel special each visit.
Great food and good service but they didn't have our table ready and we had to wait for it to be set up . It ended up in the undercover outside area which was not what we wanted.
Noisy music, burnt pizzas and staff too young to pay attention to detail. Not worth it. Plenty of other choices are available in the Como and South Perth area.
The food was good and at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and provided great service. The tiramisu is a definitely dessert dish to try!
Even though we had booked well in advance, our table for four was not ready upon arrival (we were dead on time) and we had to improvise putting tables together and trying to fix wobbly tables for the first several minutes. Not a good start to a night out. Unless you want pizza its a pretty limited menu. Very friendly wait-people however it was very busy and we had to continually attract attention to get our orders in. Garlic bread was very good straight for the pizza oven. For the price paid the linguine were small serves for pasta and not many prawns. Fish of day (snapper) was pretty unexciting and plain. French cutlets were OK, but again plain and overpriced. Based on this experience we decided to give dessert a miss. Corkage of $4 was reasonable. Music was muffled, loud and indistinct and just added to the noise quotient. We don't feel we will be returning, there are plenty of better restaurants for the same value around. A shame, because it could be a top spot. Maybe it should just solely stick to being a pizzeria and dispense with other courses.
This was our second visit here, the first time we sat outdoors and was very pleasant. This visit there were no outdoor tables vacant and I found inside was quite noisy being such a big space. The food was lovely though and I recommend that for sure. The difficulty in talking to our friends made this visit a little off putting, but I would go again if I could sit outside.
We have been there 3 times now and it was better the first two times. Garlic bread wasn’t as good as before. For the wood fire pizza, we ordered the $18 magheritta pizza but wanted to exchange the mozzarella cheese for buffalo cheese so we paid $5 extra for the buffalo mozzarella cheese but of the six slices of pizza, only 3 pieces had buffalo cheese on it. So it was a bit disappointing. The pumpkin gnocchi was swimming in a pool of butter and there was only two tiny pieces of pumpkins. I wouldn’t recommend that dish. They charge a service fee for credit card payment which is very unusual. I have never got charged a credit card fee for Master Card in other restaurants. The service is good and food comes quickly but I am not sure if it is value for money.
Great restaurant good location freindly staff. Had a very enjoyable night out with friends. It can be a tad noisy though Good choice of food.
Great night great food wonderful staff Can recommend this restaurant The staff were brilliant, funny informative and excellent with children. Meals were so full of flavour
Friendly and attentive staff, good quality Italian food. Drinks list was limited but okay and one or two more vegetarian options would have been good. Overall, recommended as a good family venue with a nice atmosphere.
