Always reliable home style Italian food...great service....it’s best to book though...it’s very busy at every sitting....outside as well as inside tables and happy to cater for big groups in a special area.

After passing this eatery on the tram and seeing how busy it always is we finally visited Definitely lived up to our expectations Great atmosphere,friendly service and wonderful food A treasure Will be back

It felt like a sausage factory, food were pre cooked and heated, huge pressure to order fast, last time i had a meal there was in 2008 and that was hearty, unrushed and great. this was a rushed experience with average quality food

Indeed, La Trattoria has the look and feel of a family-run Italian restaurant. The food was very good and the service, from experienced and mature staff, was excellent. Overall, I rate it highly and I would have no hesitation in going back there and/or recommending it to my mates!

Greeted hospitably, served with efficiency and friendliness. The food was delicious and the wine list had a good range of South Australian quality wines by the glass as well as bottle. An enjoyable evening.

The penne with broccoli was delish. Just the right amount of chilli. The garlic bread is an absolute must. The wine list was extensive and the service was excellent.

Fantastic food and service. Loved it. Our first visit yet were greeted by all the staff as though we were life long regulars. Fantastic value as well - bottle of wine and two pizzas was $70

My partner and I just went to the theatre and then stopped at LaTattoria for a pasta and wine. I've travelled extensively around the world and dined at Italian restaurants both here and in Italy, including Rome at the famous Restauant alfredo's....La Trattoria's pasta is the best Italian food I have ever had...period! The only thing that comes close to the freshness and quality of the food, is LaTrattoria's staff, our reception greeting on arrival and the subsequent service was nothing short of brilliant! Funny, charming and professional....I cant wait to get back and try other things on the menu....Thank you Trattoria, what a great feed! Paul and Sue.

This great enduring institution is a testimony to the results of constantly providing excellent food and service all at reasonable prices over many years . Many other well known eateries have faded away over the years .

Excellent service and tasty food. The price is also vrey reasonable. Booked for 7pm but due to some working reason we called them to dealy for a half hour, really had a great night there.

Absolutely delicious food, once ordered arrived quickly, tasty pizza, delightful pasta with a slight wait for the calzone. On such a busy night not unexpected at all. Thank you for a very enjoyable meal.

Food is wonderful. My veal was tender and cooked perfectly. Huge choice of meals. We all had different and everyone was very happy with their food Servings are very big. Best to share if you can. Staff are attentive and friendly.

Great atmosphere. The dinner was exepionally good and so was the very friendly and at tentative staff. We will definitely go back very soon for a great meal.

Tonight 6 of us had a fantastic night celebrating my husband and our friends birthday. The food was excellent and the service was brilliant. Once Bill heard we had 2 birthday celebrations happening he brought over a complimentary beer for them both and then after dinner he gave us all an ice cream. Every year we celebrate the boys birthdays at La Tratoria. We all highly recommend it!

Went to La Trattoria on a Sunday night, Service was great, food was beautiful, large servings.. would def go again next time I’m in Adelaide 😊

Everything was great! The staff was happy to assist us and even ran after me to give me my glasses as I left it.

Staff are very friendly and professional, service was very quick. Food was great and serves generous, it is always consistent. Always a lot of people in the restaurant. Decor provides a pleasant ambience, it has not changed for a long time and could do with a spruce up (especially the ladies loo)

I regularly say with this restaurant “it’s about the food “ fantastic quality and traditional Italian tastes. The flavours and freshness make for a fabulous experience.

Fantastic food, attentive but unobtrusive service. Great to see a restaurant sooooo busy on a Thursday night. They must be doing something right. Would definitely recommend.

Outstanding service & food. Although the restaurant was packed and tables were being turned over the staff didn’t miss a thing. Food was served quick, hot and exactly as requested!

It's 25 years since I was last at La Trattoria and the food, service and friendliness of staff have only improved ten-fold. I'll start going back regularly.

The food came out very quickly and was of a very high standard, the staff are extremely attentive, knowledgeable and even better friendly! We had a great time and enjoyed everything thank you for making the evening wonderful :)

The garlic bread was hot, buttery & garlicy. Our veal dishes were great. Staff were lovely, friendly, chatty. Hubby wanted a cappacino in a mug which they don’t have but they brought him one in a tall glass which was just lovely. Decent wine list as well. Kid friendly & casual. Enjoyed it immensely

It was lovely sitting outside in perfect sunny winter weather, enjoying good food, good wine and great customer service today. Never disappoints whenever I visit.

Poor customer service and attitude from the waiters, dishes were thrown on the table, food wasn’t presented well at all and tasted very bland for a “Italian” restaurant.

Great service and welcoming with a relaxed, warm atmosphere. The menu is broad and the food is authentic and full of flavour. Wine list also broad. This is my favourite restaurant. I always pay a visit when in Adelaide.

Couldn't believe how popular it was for a Tuesday night, must mean the food is good. We had an enjoyable experience celebrating birthday and sending off friends on their holiday

Fantastic food and service. Really enjoyable experience. Very authentic Italian feel and sense of family throughout. Would definitely go back. I recommend you give this place a go, it's an Adelaide institution.

I have always had a great experience at this restaurant. It is good, it is consistent and the service is friendly and attentive no matter how busy they are. And they are always busy.

Excellent food and the mains were huge. Weren’t able to get through everything. It may be a bit on the pricy side but definitely worth it.

The food was very good, there was a large selection to choose from. The service was great. The waiters seemed to be happy in their work and bent over backwards to please us. We had 2 people with special food requirements, and we were catered for extremely well.

Great food, service and old world family atmosphere. Been there 3 time snow and always good. The bruschetta is a must. Good wine list, too.

Great service and good old fashioned Italian food. The decor is old but welcoming. The restaurant was a hive of activity but you didn't have to wait long for our yummy food. Reccomend.
