Fantastic place.... delicious food ... and very unusual... could not fault any dishes... our second visit there..... will be back again with more friends soon

Love this place! Great food, great service and excellent drinks menu. I highly recommend it! The gyoza is my favourite dish and the sashimi is so fresh!

Staff were nice. The food was good but was a little over priced. Glad we went but not in a rush to go back. No complaints.

(1) Phoned me at 3pm on the day of my reservation to inform me that they only have spots available at the bar (made the reservation the previous day); (2) Once arrived we had to wait for 10mins to get our table + they seated other customers while we were standing in the lobby area and waiting to be seated; (3) All our food was very delayed.

Atmosphere is amazing. Place are filled with Japanese people so it felt like the foods are authentic. Place is a bit too dark and menu writing is too small - Makes it hard for us to choose the food that we're going to order. Food taste are mixed - There are some amazing dishes but some are just so-so ... I would recommend a visit nevertheless to see whether it suits your taste or not and then you can decide to come back again or not afterwards.

octopus tempura was very small and different menu photo! its 22$. better change photo from menu because i am not comfortable different photo. look like mini-takoyaki.(only octopus)

Food was ok. The service was ok. None of it though was worth the prices in my opinion. Certainly not the best Japanese I've had in Perth and with prices like $47 for tempura I'd be expecting higher quality in all aspects of the experience.

Expensive and fairly bland food - l really don't think it's worth the money. And l can't understand why James Parker is so popular - style over substance

Everything was great, however towards the end of the dinner we were dropped on with the "bill" and asked to leave because there was another booking. We were still eating and drinking and it felt like they were rushing us out, even though I had made the reservation a week in advance.

We went here with a group of friends. Everyone was very happy with their orders. I ordered a traditional soba noodle dish which I was very impress with.

Food was great as always. Only negative was that we only got 9 pieces of Sushi,but got charged for 10. Well it was a busy night, and food was very good anyway, so we will go back and recommend the place to our friends.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Perth. Food is excellent and reasonbly priced. The Sushi rolls are so tasty and fresh. Service is personable and very tentative. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Fantastic food. Loved the umeshu recommendation. Wagyu sushi roll was good. The tarp chips with anchovy sauce was a nice surprise. We will be back again !!

James Parker is the ONLY restaurant we go to regularly. We think the quality of the sushi/sashimi is the best in Perth. The service is excellent and the interior design quite unique with novel use of wood to define the various sections of the restaurant. Always an enjoyable dinner out!!

Still a place where one gets good food and good service. Been going there for years and did not see anything new in the menu. Not necessary a bad thing, just boring.

The food was beautifully presented, fresh and flavoursome and served by staff who were attentive, pleasant and efficient. We enjoyed the ambience although thought the tables were a little too close together. All in all a most enjoyable experience.

Very nice place to eat, easy location although parking can be a hassle. The food menu was more limited than what i would have liked. Drinks menu was good though

This is our 2nd time dining at James Parker. The food is exceptional, the presentation is beautiful and the service is outstanding. I recommend you do your taste buds a “flavour” and book your next dinner date here.

Authentic food, good service in the nice atmosphere, but a little pricey. A big plate of assorted sashimi was $72. It was really fresh & tasty and we shared it with 4 adults. Just enough to taste different types of sashimi, but still expensive.

Food is fantastic although slightly overpriced. Love the unagi bento and lotus root chips. Would be nice to have some cocktails in the drinks menu.

We had a very good night and excellent experience. Service is good. If you could consider customers first come and give some introductions or suggestions that would be more expectations.

Food was amazing. Sake range was incredible. Service was bordering on terrible. Would have loved to have stayed for dessert and more sake but for the staffs lack of attention was obvious. We left to find something sweet and continue drinking elsewhere.....

Great dining experience and love the Japanese atmosphere. The wait staff is super friendly and professional. I would certainly go back there during the day and try dining at the bar area.
