great customer service. Foods quality one of the best in Perth. Plenty of Japanese sake options which are well matched with food. Nice atmosphere too!

The food combination flavour & services were great, but there were still some tendon & small pieces of fish bones left in two pieces of the sushi. It would be even better if chef can master his skinning skills further.

We were there on a Friday evening. Service was average. It was pricey but not bad by Perth's Japanese cuisine standards. We will be back.

Always a great meal here and the service is also really good. The desserts were delicious but portions sizes a little small for what you pay for.

We ordered the aburi tuna, which we have had before and was delicious. This time however it didnt look fresh at all and the meat itself was very light coloured. There was no flavour to the dish whatsoever. When confronting a member of staff about it, she barely understood any english. Anyways she took it back to the kitchen and we ended up getting the same dish back but just more cooked. So instead of seared fish we now had fully cooked tuna. When bringing this up at the end with the lady behind the counter she was extremely rude. Basically saying that it was fresh but that it was a different cut of tuna. This should not be happening when you order a dish, it should always be the same consistency and flavour. Anyways she did not care for our feedback and was just looking at us that we should just pay our bill and leave. Incredibly dissappointed!

Outstanding restaurant to dine in. Overall Service was good with a waiter always around and attentive to the guests need. Food was outstanding with incredible Japanese flavour.

Very fresh sashimi and a tasty soft shell crab roll. Elegant interior and attentive, friendly staff. Good range of sake and Japanese beer, as well as Australian wine.

Food is always good here. Just a shame there’s a two hour limit for our reservation. We’ll be back.

Always an absolutely amazing experience at James Parker. The food is wonderfully prepared and so so fresh. The staff are always lovely. You can tell you're in a fantastic japanese restaurant when there are japanese people dining all around you!!!

Very good service and very good food. The seafood was fresh and the aburi was cooked perfectly with amazing sauce. The beef tataki was my favourite. The meat just melts in your mouth and it was even richer if you eat it with the jellied sauce. Will come again.

Excellent service. Nice atmosphere. It was a bit noisy and cramp as it was quite full. If you have a tablet next to you, you can kind of hear their conversation which is a bit unpleasant as it feels like you are eavesdropping. But overall, excellent!

Excellent sashimi and grilled fish, very fresh! We also ordered sushi, a salad and the Matcha fondue for dessert. Every dish was above my expectation. Ambience is lovely and service was great. Will definitely be back :)

Prices are slightly higher than other places but you get exceptional service, good food, best Japanese restaurant in Perth. Never disappointing. Sashimi platter is a win.

Excellent service. Excellent food. Food comes out fast. Quiet little hidden restaurant, dark mood lighting so not great for pictures or celebrations but great for dates. Pity about 2 hour seating we had to leave.

The environment was good but do get slight noisy when full house. Food and drinks very great. Very fresh sashimi and sushi. Happy to found a good Japanese restaurant here in Perth.

Used to frequent this place very often. But prices kept going up and portions getting smaller and smaller. Example large sashimi price at $35, then kept going up to $72. The worst part I had received a call from them asking me whether I paid for my bill and asked to sent the receipt for prove. Not happy and not going back.

The food is so delicious! it is definetly worth trying the aburi salmon roll and the beef tataki! It literally just melts in your mouth

Food and service was excellent. It is definitely on the spendy side but well worth it for a nice occasion.

It was a beautiful restaurant with lovely service however the food was not worth the price. I spent $60 (without drinks) and still left hungry.

James Parker used to be the best in Perth to provide a fresh sashimi and sushi which made me feel no need to go back Japan to eat sushi. But what he had eat sushi were not used to we had before . It’s getting close to be a sushi with jaws . I personally didn’t like it too many Chinese.

Our go-to place for date night. Excellent Japanese food and service. Always a pleasure! Our recommended dishes are JP's duck, taro chips, the wagyu sushi roll, and soft-shell crab but you can't go wrong with any item on the menu.
