We went to this restaurant for our daughter's birthday. She was glad to have some delicious dinner and we felt so happy!

Too expensive and the sea urchin(uni) was not fresh at all. The best food that I had was eel rice.

Interior lighting too dark to read the menus and the food was pretty average. The service/hospitality was not up to par and we felt very rushed as the next group of guests arrived early and we were asked to pay the bill before we finished our meal. All in all, a very disappointing dining experience.

I will miss this place a lot! Your shoes are too big too fill. Thank you James Parker and staff for all the fond memories.

Food was excellent as usual so was the cleanliness in the restaurant. The service was disappointing this time unfortunately. Food is always fresh and time waiting worth it! Will be back and hoping for a more pleasant experience.

Fresh and mouth watering foods never let us down! Highlights of the night went to the all 3 dishes we ordered, from fresh thick cut sashimi, unagi rice to the ever delicious Salmon sushi!!!

Excellent best authentic Japanese food in Perth And we have tried most

We arrived at the restaurant at 5:30pm as booked. After ordering the food, as the food take sometimes to come, especially one main dish wasn’t serve till 7:20pm. We thought is was not order. So when we will asking for the bill, the last dish of a main course came, but it was already 7.25pm. We are told to completed our dinner within two hours. What should we do? We can’t cancel the dish as requested and was told to pack it out. But we are not heading home and there wasn’t ice pack to go with it. We have a hard time communicating with the waitress as their command of English is limited. When we like to have the Wasabi serve first but we will charge, even we had order order Sashimi Set. On the whole the food is ok but expect longer waiting time.

Food are a bit salty this time but overall enjoyable.

It’s my favourite Japanese restaurant when I elect for a finer dinning experience.

MSG nightmares!!! Average food for a very expensive price. Some dishes were ok but nothing amazing. We had the wagyu beef and it was tough and chewy. Very limited wine list of you are not into sake.

This was my first visit. Thank you for your great hospitality and great food. I am sad as I heard JP will close as of end of July.

The food is great, presentation is fantastic but it would've been a better experience if the staff weren't constantly looking to see if we were finished or not. Totally understandable if it were to happen within the last hour/half an hour so they can prepare for the next reservation but it's especially upsetting and stressful when I'm only 45 minutes into my 2 hour reservation and they've already came to my table to take my unfinished plate. So if you're not finished with your dish yet, make sure to keep a hand on your bowl and don't lean back in your chair otherwise they'll come running.

Good ambience, great sashimi & gyoza - worth the visit.

The overall experience was ok and the food taste yum. But I was disappointed with the cleanliness level. In such a restaurant, I don’t expect finding hair in the food!!! I highlighted to the waitress about this strand of hair in my sushi and she acknowledged it and took it away without any further explanation. When I paid the bill, I highlighted the issue again and no action was taken.. hmm.. I really like the food and atmosphere but their service makes me think twice if to visit them again. It’s not a cheap meal and I expect better service and hygiene level!!

Food was good as it has been. It’s a little bit disappointing that we couldn’t sit at a sushi counter table. We also ordered a salad which didn’t come out until all other main dishes were finished.

That's wonderful taste of miso soup and rice, that very important judge quality of a Japanese restaurant. I believe James Parker Sushi and Sake is a best in Perth.

Sushi was super. Specially snapper and tuna. We enjoyed great food.
